  1. There are some connections. For example, Arcadia and Talon once did a joint plot together. Excalibur, Talon, and Agincourt keep a common timeline.

    Many, many years ago - when individual sims were around but STSF hadn't formed yet - there was a joint plot where all the ships and stations were against the Talon, but I understand it took a lot to pull off.


  2. As you said, it was the Sociology department. Are you really surprised? Can anything be "wrong" in a discipline that is entirely subjective?

     

    Think of this: You can turn any economics paper into a sociology paper by taking out some of the charts and graphs, simplifying the math, and making the language less precise. However, you can't always convert a sociology paper into an economics paper by doing the opposite.

     

    I had a Sociology instructor - I didn't want the course but it was more palatable than the alternatives, and I knew a cute girl had signed up for that section - who said he respected a student who could debate him. That was until he started losing his debates to me in front of the rest of the class.
