I owned two Macs, but they were both pre-iMac machines. One of them wasn't even internet-capable. My girlfriend at the time used to chat with the latter one but I wasn't into chat then.
Sorry, can't help.

I still think "Under Construction" is a stupid name for a Star Trek movie.

I see Garnoopy still has his pilot's license.

There are some connections. For example, Arcadia and Talon once did a joint plot together. Excalibur, Talon, and Agincourt keep a common timeline. Many, many years ago - when individual sims were around but STSF hadn't formed yet - there was a joint plot where all the ships and stations were against the Talon, but I understand it took a lot to pull off.

Second, would someone consider running a poll or some other forum on this series? What would the question be?

so remember that short little annoying voiced kid type character from TOS?Chekhov?

A lot of the prequel actors and actresses are very good, just not in the roles they were given.

As you said, it was the Sociology department. Are you really surprised? Can anything be "wrong" in a discipline that is entirely subjective?
Think of this: You can turn any economics paper into a sociology paper by taking out some of the charts and graphs, simplifying the math, and making the language less precise. However, you can't always convert a sociology paper into an economics paper by doing the opposite.
I had a Sociology instructor - I didn't want the course but it was more palatable than the alternatives, and I knew a cute girl had signed up for that section - who said he respected a student who could debate him. That was until he started losing his debates to me in front of the rest of the class.

Well MY Star Trek show would have Jedi and Cylons (old and new) and Immortals and things like that.

If all ships were equal, and all crews equally trained, would it make a difference?
