  1. LOL - you guys are ALL wrong. It's R-E-A-L-I-Z-E! Present tense, you know. :D
  2. You're NEVER too young for a beer belly! Happy Birthday!
  3. NUC-LE-AR WESS-LES
  4. Huff, you forgot about the free donuts!
  5. First of all, welcome aboard the Reaent as our newest (and last?) shipmate. To my knowlege the Reaent takes place post-Dominion war. However, the ship itself is an Ambassador Class Refit which means it was built pre-TNG but had it's systems gutted out and modernized so it functions similar to the Galaxy class. Hope it helps.
  6. I want the title "Immune to all ACTION items"!
  7. I can just imagine a Bat'leth battle between a Klingon and a Tribble. "Prepare to die" ::Tribble moves out of the way:: ::sword clanks into the ground:: ::pulls sword back up:: "This time for sure" ::Klingon misses again:: Uh! Hold still, you little varmit!
  8. We have washrooms? No one told me! I've been holding it in since August!
  9. But what I don't like about personality tests like this one or the Myers-Briggs test is a lot of your answers depend on whatever state of mind you are in when you take it. If I'm taking this test after a hard day at the office I may give completely different answers than if I am at a bar with friends. You really need to take the test under a variety of mindsets and conditions to get an accurate reading.
  10. OK, I took the test. This will come as no surprise to the Reaent and QoB crews, but I AM SPOCK! Kewl. ;)
  11. Hey, come on! No fair! I haven't even TAKEN the test yet!!
  12. (very nasal) hee, hee, Hey Butt-Head, she said "screw".
  13. I was just thinking the same thing. "Man, that guy Garnoopy really bites!"
  14. Aww, gee, You're no fun. ;)
  15. Break the laws of physics? Only Qs and Chief Engineers can do that. What *I* want is a way to breat the ACTION laws!
  16. If I had the Academy to live over again I would have changed my name to Ensign Kenny!
  17. This is a GAME??
  18. After finally completing the away mission and clearing decon - an experience I have heard others complain about but I have no memory of - I have been given clearance to spend some time in my quarters for meditation and reflection. Without a doubt this last away mission has been the most taxing I have been on, and I hope I will be granted a reprieve from future ones for the time being. I have been away from my usual post for some time and I am sure there is a lot of work waiting for me. My first priority is to resume the OPS station. My last recorded login was on 0212.19 and I'm sure many people have had their hands on my station while I was away. I know for a fact that Ensigns Kenickie and "Goopy" couple, aren't they?>> have operated the station, and possibly others as well. In fact, the only people I can say for sure *haven't* been at my station were the other members of the away team. I will need to execute a complete systems resetting. It occurs to me that we still do not have a suitable use for my old Helm station. Surely we can make better use of it than just letting it sit there. An empty chair on the bridge looks out of place with the rest of the ship being fully staffed. I am still of the opinion that we should have at least one more bridge officer position to cover for when we are away. Perhaps reinstating the Helm position or having a permanent Tac/Comm position or a Comm/Couns position. There are several options to work with but running all of these functions through the OPS station long-term is inherently dangerous. We are asking for a cascade systems failure. At any rate my next priority will be to inform the CO what was discovered on the planet. Ridire and Shamor can do much of this as well as I but I should at least make myself available for what I learned about Romulan technology on the planet. Next I will need a status update on the refit of the Tyderium. The shuttle is working, but not at peak efficiency. I'm sure it was at least partially damaged by the storms on the surface, and draining it of power and re-charging it with Romulan technology can't have helped. Science also tells me traces of the gelatinous "thing" Kroells discovered were on the hull, but this doesn't seem possible. Kroells was the only one to see it firsthand and I don't think he actually made physical contact. It's possible his illness was from something he breathed in the room. If so, it is the *inside* of the shuttle - and the rest of the away team - that would be affected, and we have already discounted this possibility. Finally, I need to make it a point to meet the many new additions to the crew since the away mission began. I haven't met Kenickie and one of the new doctors face to face, and I am told there is also another new doctor and a CENG who likes to chew on furniture and Ensigns. I'll have to suggest Kroells work with him as part of the "training" recommended by Shamor. Ensign Van Roy Chief OPS Officer.
  19. LOL - I think someone didn't get the joke.
  20. Yeah, like me for example. I play 2 characters that are completely different. On one sim I play Ens_Vanroy, a Vulcan. On another I play Ensign_Vanroy, a Vulcan. But one sim has Ensign spelled out and the other one is an abbreviation. See what I mean? Completely different!
  21. Perhaps there is a way to send these messages to their families. A friend of mine died recently and we all poured our hearts out via E-mail. A friend of his gathered the E-mails and gave them to his church pastor who used a lot of it in his eulogy. I doubt our little group has that kind of influence but I'm sure the families would like to read our postings.
  22. Maybe we shouldn't be so quick to eliminate the ghosts. Some of them owe me money.
  23. Yeah, Mr. Mot! Expert on Romulan tactics AND the best barber in Starfleet!
  24. I personally would advise waiting until you know what is available before you compose a bio. You don't want to limit your options.
