  1. Oh my God... I never knew... He helped me when I joined you all in Excalibur, and he was such an amazing person. My prayers go out to him and his family! May he enjoy better places! I salute you, sir!
  2. ROFL! that pic is hilarious!
  3. (Finally, a log that goes into more detail about my past. More to come later) Personal Log: Marius Tr'Lorin Stardate: 0609.21 Computer, Begin Recording. ::Record Initiated:: Flying. It's been a long time since I experienced the joy of it, long ago, before I even went to the TAT. I was surprised I still remembered how to fly the craft. I was huddled inside a dingy shuttlecraft. It was obsolete, even for that long ago. My mother sat in the pilot's seat next to me. She was taking me through the power-up process, one switch at a time. I marveled at how her fingers deftly flipped switches without a moment's hesitation. I watched as the ground slowly disappeared from view, and then we shot up into the air. We flew in gentle circles, gliding where ever we chose. I diverted my attention to the confusing control panel. I saw one prominent switch above all others, and flipped it. I listened in fascination as suddenly all sound within the craft disappeared, with nothing but the air blowing past us to listen to. Mother looked around, but to my confusion, I saw alarm on her face. Suddenly, the craft started diving toward the ground. I started to panic, while Mother flipped switches furiously, but to no avail. We continued to dive. Finally, she flipped the switch I had, and the humming of the engines came back. She pulled on the joystick as hard as she could, and we barely curved out of our dive. We landed immediately, where I jumped out of the shuttle and ran. I refused to go near any shuttlecraft for quite a while after. I came back around to the Excalibur fighter bay, so, I eased off on the speed, and landed within the bay. I shuddered at the memory of the old shuttlecraft, and so quickly left the fighter bay, and headed back for my quarters. End Recording. ::Record Terminated::
  4. Personal Log: Marius Tr'Lorin Stardate: 0609.13 Computer, Begin Recording. ::Record Initiated:: Liberation, at last! Through the endeavors of my shipmates, my friends, We were saved from the bay of the Scorpiad Fighter. Where it would've brought us, I don't know, and I probably don't want to. If it weren't for the crewmates, I'd probably be imprisoned on a Scorpiad ship, tortured and experimented on. I've learned through accounts of the battle that our great, invincible enemy is actually vulnerable to our stun phasers. Perhaps we could build on this weakness and actually have a chance at this war, if the enemy doesn't counter this new found knowledge. It would be a great thing indeed to remove the hostilities with the Scorpiad, so that we might actually be able to explore this quadrant outside of the few planets we colonized. While the Excalibur was busy fighting the great warship, Tandaris and I worked with on the fighter ship to cause it to stop, which at the time, I'm not sure if it was a blessing or a curse. We learned a few things about it, other than the fact it was slimy, and reminded me of Earth's squids. We found a way to interface with the panels and control it somewhat with the use of my tricorder. Though we could use this fighter somehow to conduct some espionage on the Scorpiad, I'd would much rather prefer to get my tricorder back, as we have yet to retrieve it. It was my mother's tricorder during her time on duty, though it had been modified and updated quite a bit for my use. I'd hate to see it stuck in the belly of the "Slimy Squid" as I call it. My mother would probably kill me too if she found what I've done with it. The money to upgrade the thing was supposed to be for some expensive fancy gadget she wanted... [inside the "Slimy Squid", the tricorder begins flashing, attempting to send a signal to a small home on Earth...] End Recording. ::Record Terminated::
  5. I just came up with this as I read the topic, but maybe a exploration style sim, set out in the delta quad, would be cool. There's bound to be more species and cultures out in the delta quadrant, even if they might be a) hiding, scared to death of the borg. b)so powerful, they just swat at the borg like flies, hence the borg's reason for coming over to our quadrant. either way, it would be interesting to go exploring around there.
  6. Personal Log: Marius Tr'Lorin Stardate: 0608.16 Computer, Begi... ::Realizing that there isn't a computer to record his log, sits quietly, pondering the predicament that he and his other officers are in:: (The following was thought in Marius's mind, to be hopefully stored in a computer at a later time.) What an interesting turn of events. The "harmless little gadget" became a great computer spy, sending out information of our ship's doings for the entire Scorpiad race to know. Then, the "dangerous Scorpiad spying device" turned into a great machine with restraining tentacles, with the ability to morph into a Scorpiad fighter, and fly, pilotless, away from the ship into the wonderful great unknown, with captives to boot. How much more are we going to understimate Scorpiad technology before we realize what we're up against? What other tricks do they have up their sleeve? I suppose there's nothing I can do about it now at the moment. I can't even reach the tricorder at my side, much less override the ship into turning a 180 and go back to where we came from. My hopes lie in the fortunate officers who *didn't* get swallowed by the miniature whale. Hopefully, they're working on something to help bring us back. Perhaps they could even find a way to neutralize Scorpiad ships while they're at it. Not destroy though. That wouldn't be very helpful to me or the rest of the captured men... In the mean time, I'll do what I can do: observe the Scorpiad fighter. Maybe I'll be able to pull together some sort of understanding of the little amount of Scorpiad technology in this craft...
  7. lol , Sendai!
  8. lol, just started reading this thing, from beginning to end. it's kinda sad that there isn't a final host story yet. I'll go think about it and try to come up with something for you Images  as long as I get to be in the running for the coconut. :)
  9. Personal Log: Marius Tr'Lorin Stardate: 0607.24 Begin Recording. ::Record Initiated:: I have just finished my work on designing Xavier's new weapon. I returned to my quarters, and opened my communications panel. I called home, but got no response other than the error message of the computer. I tried again, then remembered our situation. We were isolated, unable to contact the Alpha Quadrant. I shut the panel again, and dropped onto my bed, staring up into the ceiling. I missed home, no doubt about that. I wanted to be able to see my parents again. After all, I hadn't contacted them since I left the Alpha Quadrant to join the Excalibur. Why did the Scorpiads do this? They've caused so much pain, mentally as much as physically. Could they really be pure evil? What are their plans? So many questions... questions that would probably have to be left unanswered. In the mean time, all I can really do is just persevere. If only there were more ways I could help... End Recording. ::Record Terminated::
