  1. Some day...it'll all be east coast. Just you wait.
  2. When selling catnip, one must always take precautions.
  3. Kelley: "You posted those photos on Facebook?!" Nimoy: "I...I didn't know."
  4. While were on the subject. I love these cannons at Fort Ticonderoga. ::not into manufactured controversy::
  5. Undaunted by the release of the iPad, Steve still believed there was a market for his Portable Integrative System (PIS).
  6. Must be a shoddy Engineering department. ;) Congrats Aegis. I'm proud to say that I was a small part of your journey. :)
  7. Robin finds out the only thing Batman is not immune from: Rickrolling.
  8. Five Guy's wins hands down every time for best burger. The fries, on the other hand, are nothing to write home about.
  9. So many great replies... must...choose...can't. ::thunk:: I'm going to have to give it back to Images here...I laughed so hard after reading it.
  10. Here we go...
  11. Joy turned to dread when the local informed them that Comic-Con was held the previous week.
  12. "After Jimmy the Elf burned himself sipping cocoa, Santa felt it prudent to protect himself from additional petty lawsuits."
  13. Great captions all. Have at it Karo!
  14. Here we go!
  15. Officer: "Then again, maybe we should've let GM fail...."
  16. "Stop distracting from the real issue here. Did you, or did you not attack me in Mafia Wars?"
  17. The Brits do tend to report more on global happenings and foreign policy...there's really only so much you can cover in a nation the geographic size of Kansas. The reporting on US affairs tends to be decent, though there can be some oversimplification and embellishment of the key figures in some of the stories.
  18. Glad you're enjoying your time here at STSF, Pete. Having players that are enthusiastic about the sims are essential for maintaining such a great community. Before you know it, you'll have been playing for a decade or more!
  19. It's good to try out a number of different positions to see what you enjoy the most. It's always good to have two or three in mind for the night so that, as Blu mentioned, the GMs can accommodate your request as best as possible. Showing up early can usually give you a better shot at the position you want for the night, but there aren't any guarantees. Academies are about learning how to sim, STSF-style, and about having fun. Good luck and hope to see ya around!
  20. Yeah, I was unfamiliar with it until someone linked it to me. That and "people of Walmart," which I regret ever going to. :)
  21. World Cup? Is that like some sort of super size at McDonalds? Count me in! Every four years the World Cup comes around and everyone starts pretending that they're interested in soccer. This is supplemented by the manufactured narrative across the media that soccer is making inroads into American culture. Then, the United States loses and we don't hear anything about soccer until the next World Cup. Rinse and repeat. Someone linked this hilarious post to me from a satire blog "What White People Like." Please note the word "satire" in the previous sentence. It's meant to be a joke. :)
  22. I'd rather thank the men and women in uniform who daily protect our freedoms than disparage them as James Cameron does.
  23. Welcome to STSF! Due to the Memorial Day holiday, the Monday Academy may be cancelled. Please check posts in the from the GMs section for more info.
  24. Happy Birthday, warrior.
