The Good And The Bad Of A Day - Ensign Kate Trillium Kate took one last look at Johnson. She scanned to be sure the circulation was maintained in his hand. It had been a long time since she had to do this type of surgery. Matter of fact it was in her residency that she had done it. Satisfied with the results of her scans she moved back to clean up her station. Kate reached for the equipment that she had used to do the surgery. It was then that she realized that her hands were shaking. Why was it shaking now? She knew. It was just the adrenaline from the procedure she had done. Kate looked around to be sure that no one else had noticed that she was suddenly a nervous wreck. She just let herself just plop down into the nearest seat and laid her head down. Hoping that the nausea that was building in her gut would disappear. A short time later Kate felt a hand on her shoulder and her head snapped up. She must have fell asleep when she had her head down. This wasn't a good thing. She looked at the nurse that had touched her and smiled. "I wasn't feeling too well....and well... well you know." Kate stumbled over the words. She just sprung up and gathered the dirty equipment and rushed to have it sterilized once again. Course in the process she dropped a few pieces and tried to juggle the rest as she picked up the ones that dropped. Muttering under her breath as she did. Could she embarrass herself any more then she already had? Not likely. As she dumped them into the recycler she sat with her hands on the edge. She sure has messed up since she came on board the ship. First running right into the Admiral and then the whole incident with Captain Kawalas. She wondered if she would ever forgive her for sedating her. Course she had been just following her orders. And now this. Oh well hopefully if all goes well with Johnson's hand, then everyone can look past all her mistakes. Kate straightened up and went back to finish up cleaning up. She was so ready for a break and once the cleaning was done, and she checked on Johnson once more she was going to go find a large cup of coffee. Kate finished the cleaning and went to check on Johnson's hand. It was so far doing well. She glanced at him laying there. It still amazed her that he had such faith in her skills. Even over the chief medical officer. That just made her feel warm. She finished up, gave report to the Beta shift and headed out of medical to the lounge for that coffee. Over all, it really did end up being a good day. Kate laughed at herself, maybe tomorrow would be a little quieter.

Kate is relatively a quiet person but is friendly and caring. She can also be a tough when the situation requires it. She can be a very nervous type too, shows itself in her being a little bit of a clutz.
