  1. Begin Log... Kell sat a up little straighter as he peered down his microscope. His eyes we're heavy and no doubt slightly bloodshot. Over the last several days he had couped himself up in a science lab trying to find the answers to a couple testing problems Starfleet Sciences had sent out for analyses to select department members, something about a newly discovered "homicidal" amoeba. It had kept him up to ridiculous hours and woken him far to early. The only that kept him going was the constant stream of caffeine he pumped through his system. Kell yawned, rubbed his eyes and tried to focus back on his work. The midshipman was a bit surprised that SFS had asked him to participate in the research. Having just recently graduated from the academy and a junior officer no less made him wonder what Starfleet was up to. Despite their reasoning let it not be said he was complaining, on the contrary, he was excited over the assignment. It kept him from having to deal with other matters around the station, such as the strange case involving several of the senior staff. A slight tone beeped from his testing equipment. "Analyses complete, test confirmed positive. " The female computer voice informed him. Kell grinned, It seems as though the last several days had paid off. He made sure his results we're recorded in the station's computer then he downloaded his discoveries into a subspace message packet and send it off to the sciences office. It seemed as though Kell could finally rejoin the living and get back to his normal duties. Kell stood and stretched. It had been far to long since his last break and now that he was done with the project it was time to get some rest before his next normal duty shift. 15 minutes later Kell could be found in his quarters, curled up into a ball, with an unconscious smile of satisfaction, fast asleep. End Log...

  3. Kell Griffin, Personal Log Kell Griffin sat back and relaxed at the OPS console in the control tower. Since coming on duty a few hours ago his day had been very very interesting. Currently he was the only one on deck, except for a few enlisted men who were doing something at an aft Engineering console. Kell paid them no mind and continued to work on the task at hand. He had a new respect for those who worked OPS. it wasn't an easy job. Monitoring the status of the entire station along with making sure all the diplomats and dignitaries had no complaints coming in and what not. As a science officer he hadn't really bothered with such things before. He normally just sat at his console, ran his scans and read his reports. Today however was a bit different. For some reason the officer on deck. Lt. Cmdr. Brown had asked Kell to work OPS as the different Ambassadors arrived, making their way to the conference in the lounge, near the rear of the CT. He nodded and smiled politely as each diplomat walked across the cricket chirping quite control center. A bit later Cmdr. Brown asked Kell to show a Gorn Ambassador to the conference room, as he was busy with another unhappy Ambassador that he had just relieved Kell of over the comm. He approached the hulking lizard with caution before quickly showing him across the tower and into the room, filled with other diplomats. He quietly excused himself after Brown arrived. Kell hurried back across the CT and back to the OPS console, more than a little relieved. A room full of Diplomates was most definately out of his normally enclosed element. "This is certainly an unusual day...." he muttered. "Two senior officers have been relieved recently along with the station nearly being blown apart by the Gorn..... now all the damn diplomats. whats next?" Kell shuttered at the thought. Forcing himself back to work. Eng Log.
