  1. A joint log between, Ranger,Kat, Merina, and Angeliz and Takhoma and Trank under guard in the lounge. Schawnsee exited the runabout seeing Merina, "I'll go with you to Sickbay and watch over the ranger." Kat turns and assists with getting Ranger onto a gurney in order to get him to Sickbay. Merina stops them as they exit the runabout and performs a preliminary scan on Ranger before she allows him to be quickly moved to sickbay. Meanwhile, Takhoma and Trank had been taken to the lounge near the bridge for safe keeping. Takhoma sat in the lounge trying to figure out how to help these people. Trank, who knew they were being guarded by security outside, is seething about his current predicament. He looks at Takhoma. "Well this sure beats being left on the planet. Ok we are going to have to deal with a trial. For some reason we aren't much liked here. Either way we need to learn a little bit about our captors. I mean they helped us then they lock us in this room. What's the deal?" Takhoma looks back to Trank. "That's for sure." Now hardening the look she's giving him, "Why? Do you plan on taking over this ship? I think that would be a little hard to do." Trank returns the sharp look Takhoma was giving him, "No! I intend to learn who we are dealing with so when we are standing in this kangaroo court we aren't completely in the dark about this federation." ********************************* Kat follows Merina and the others into sickbay, watching the injured man as the medical team moves the man to a biobed and sets the restraints that were ordered by Commander Ridire. "Doctor, How bad is he?" Ranger, at that point regains consciousness. He then begins looking around the sick bay and looking for his team members Trank, and Takhoma. He then looks up at the doctor as she is scanning him. "Hey there, do you know of my team and how they are?" Merina responds to Kat "He's got an injured leg and some burns." She then turns her attention to Ranger, "I'm not for sure. They have probably been taken to the brig or the lounge." Ranger, looking at the one the doc referred to as 'Kat', directly asked her. "Are they, my team, ok and being treated well? All we desire to do here is assist in making a wrong right." Kat moved so the man could see her without moving his head much. "Your team has been placed into custody for the time being. It will be up to the Captain if they are held as prisoners, or guests." *************************************** Arch Angel had landed his fighter and completed the mandatory shut down procedures. As he was being cleared from the flight operations center, he hears the communication of the shuttle returning. He looks at his monitor and heads straight for the flight bay. He had a bone to pick with a certain crewman, and this time it could not wait. He enters the nearest turbo lift and states the destination. "Shuttle hangar!" He then thinks a moment and calls out. "Computer, Location of crew member Schawnsee." The computer comes back with the reply that didn't make him any happier. "Lt Schawnsee is in sickbay." Angel closes his eyes and takes a deep breath trying to calm him self slightly. "Computer, belay last destination. Change direction to sickbay." The computer does as ordered, halts then changes direction heading for Sickbay. **************************************** Back up in the lounge Trank and Takhoma continue their conversation. "The less we know about them, the better they'll probably think that we're planning to sabotage or do something to their ship." Takhoma says as she sits there watching Trank pace a bit. "But if we go blindly into this, that one, I think I heard them call him a commander or something, is going to have us killed for sure. He seems like he would be quick to entrap us or something." Trank says turning once again to pass Takhoma as he walks across the floor. Trank stops and moves back to look at Takhoma, "We can't get tied down here and killed for something we know nothing about. We need to get to HA and pay him back for what he did to Ranger. If we don't learn about what we are doing we might as well hang it up." Takhoma took in a deep breath and let it out slowly. "I know. I tried getting HA to tell me what's going on, but I didn't get any useful information from him," she replied. *************************************** Back in sickbay, Kat speaks again to Ranger, "If they and you are willing to help, you will need to speak with the Commander or the CMO. I have no control over the situation." She turns to Merina. "Doc when you are finished with this gentleman could you tend to my arm please?" Ranger allowed Kat to complete her request of the doctor and then asked her, "I can understand the reasoning, however I implore you, Do not let our past actions dictate your judgment. We were apparently an unknowing party to a grievous wrong that had begun to take place long before we accepted a contract job on that planet." "I understood, and I will relay the message." Kat says as she watches Merina work on repairing the gentlemen's injuries. Merina looked over to Kats arm for a moment and then went back to what she was doing. "Of course, Kat, Why don't you go relax on a biobed until I'm done with him? That is if you're okay with that." "Thank you Doc." She again turns to the Ranger. "If your team does nothing rash, they should be ok. I'll relay your message when I see the Commander or my Chief." Kat then moves to the biobed indicated by Merina. Ranger watched Merina as she tends to his wounds. "Thank You. You are most kind. Do not worry you will have no trouble from us. When may I join, or speak to my team?" Merina continues treating Ranger. "Thanks. I'm not sure when you can join your team." Kat over hears Ranger. "You are to remain here, under guard and restraints until released by the CMO and our Commander, His orders. I'm sorry." Ranger nods, hearing Kat's response. He sighs, "I understand, Thank you." He then lays there looking at the ceiling and thinking. "I just hope the 'Black Box' data will help get those two Rats." ****************************************** Arch Angel Exits the lift and unconsciously begins the no speak to Kat. "Little one...where in the blazes are you?" As Kat sits back on the biobed, she relaxes enough to hear Angels Words to her. "I'm in Sickbay don't worry I'm fine." The next instant Angel enters the sick bay and sees Merina. "Ok, where is she??" He asks in a not so nice manner. Merina hears the tone in Angel's voice and turns to face him. "Who Kat? She's over there on the biobed." Merina says as she gives a slight point to where Kat had gone to. Kat had just leaned back on the biobed trying to relax. Her arm was hurting a bit. The medications Debbie had given her had long worn off. Kat sits up quickly hearing Angels voice. "Why are you here? I'm fine. There's nothing to worry about." She had forgotten about her hair and eye change and that he did not know of it. Angel quickly walked over to Schawnsee's bedside. He had an obvious *Redder* than usual color to his face. Kat sees his face. "Angel I'm fine, why are you upset?" He looked at his little one, "You know perfectly well why I am here, as well as why I am upset. Or has your little vacation removed all of your senses, and the knowledge of our ways??" Kat heard the displeasure in his voice and looked him in the eyes. "It was not a vacation Angel. I was on a mission. Can we speak of this later?" Angel glared at Schawnsee, returning her attempted stern gaze; with just a touch of no speak. 'I fully am aware of you being away on a mission. However I am also aware of your child like impatience as well.' He then spoke again out loud. "Yes we will speak in great detail of this later." Merina has finished repairing Ranger's injuries. "Well, you're taken care of," she said. She then begins to make her way over to Schawnsee with a new treatment tray to begin treating her burns. Kat looks around seeing Merina heading towards her with the triage tray. "Thank you Angel. As soon as my detail is complete, I will meet you to speak of this." He softens his voice lightly speaking to Kat as the Doc approaches. "You know of my sworn oath. You know my heart my little one. We will speak later when you are stronger. He then turns to Merina and speaks to her. "Take good care of her doc. She will need to be strong before she gets that little neck of hers wrung by me." He gives the doc a grin letting her know he's teasing. Merina smiled back at Angel, "Don't worry she'll be fine," she said to him. She then begins scanning the injury to Kat's arm to begin treatment. Kat looked to doctor Merina as she spoke to Angel and then began the treatment of the arm. "Doc, your going to fine it's not as bad as it looks. The blisters are fakes, but the underlying is real. Deb had to make it look real to pass incase we were captured. I do have to admit though it is hurting," Kat says as she watches Angel heading for the door knowing he's very angry at her. He will get over it, she hopes. "Doc I think the stuff that's making the blisters is starting to make the actual injury hurt worse." Angel turns and looks as Merina begins treating his little one's wounds. He then thinks to himself, "She will be the death of me yet, our ancestors give me strength." He turns back towards the doors shaking his head and exits sick bay. ***************************************** Back up in the lounge Trank frowns. "This is all one big nasty web and we are stuck in the middle, between HA and these federation people. We know what HA is capable of but not the federation. We need to learn about this faction and hope whatever we find is helpful." Takhoma stood, walking over to the window to look out of it. "Well I used to be part of the Maquis. The Federation is not a faction for starters. They don't 'want to hurt, but they will if they have to," she replied. Trank moved over to Takhoma's side. "Really, I never really came in contact with the federation that I know of. They seem rather interested in keeping us trapped here but that's obvious. Is there anything else you can tell me about them?" He then takes a seat and gets comfortable. Takhoma continued to look out the window, but spoke to Trank. "I only encountered the federation a few times during the Dominion War. That's all I know." Trank sighs a moment and looks to Takhoma, "I will ask for some information on the Federation. The reason I don't know if I came in contact with the federation before is I don't remember much of anything before 6 years ago. A few glimpses here and there but I know that someone had put me in some sort of military and they trained me in both political and normal combat. " Takhoma turned away from the window and walks over to Trank and sat next to him "I remember everything up until now." Trank shakes his head, "I wish I could say the same. I remember being taken to the planet and pretty much given to HA and his group and I've been there ever since." He looks back to Takhoma, "I don't know why I brought this up. I guess I'm going to get a guard." Trank gets up and knocks on the door of the room hoping to get the guards attention. Takhoma just shakes her head as Tank knocks on the door. Trank stops knocking when he gets no response and just returns to a seat. "No answer. I'd say this is a nasty turn of events." He says glancing at Takhoma. ********************************************* Merina takes a tricorder and scans the injury. "It looks like your skin is starting to get irritated by the fake wound." Kat looks back up to Merina, "Will it take much to repair it?" "No Kat, it won't." Merina begins to treats the irritated skin and removes the fake injury. Ranger had been listening to the Doctor and her patient. He then asked, "Doctor, may I at least communicate with my team, or am I to wait for an interview with your commander first?" Kat interjected for Merina, "I'm sorry to say there will be no communication until our Captain or commander has a chance to speak to you, and them." Merina smiled at her patient. "Thanks Kat." Ranger spoke again to Kat. "I see, so we may be left hanging out to dry, literally. I can appreciate your position, However I just ask you to keep in mind this one small thing." Kat heard Ranger but ignored him for a moment. "Your welcome Doctor, I'm going to remain here to watch over him" she says as she nods towards Ranger. "How much more here before I can retake my post?" "Well Kat you're finished. You can take your post whenever you see fit." Merina said as she began to replace the equipment she had used on Kats arm back on the triage tray. "Thank you Doc." Kat stands and moves back over to Ranger. "What is it you wish for me to keep in mind Sir?" "I will ask you to keep in mind, #1,We did not have to contact you after the incident, #2 Both I and my team could have easily slipped into the background and fled the planet, #3 We remained, and sought you out to help you." Ranger says as he is still laying on the biobed under restraints. "I will make note of that and pass it along to my supervisors. I suggest you save your strength and rest for a while. I'm sure my Chief, Commander and/or the Captain will want to speak to you." Kat has some compassion for the man and gently lays her hand on his shoulder before she backs away and activates the containment field that was ordered after the man had been treated for his wounds. She went to a chair across from his biobed and sat down herself rubbing her now repaired arm lightly. Merina goes over to her desk and inputs the information that she collected from both Kat and Ranger.
  2. Huff I have the perfect shot. I will send it as soon as I get to HIGH Speed connection once again.
  3. Kat took her seat in the chair as planned. The drugs Deb had given her were wearing off and she was beginning to feel the part that Deb had made look so bad. She leaned her head back to the cushion and gritted her teeth willing it to stop. As she sat there she began thinking of Angel back on the ship. Even though she left a note for him, she figured he was not going to be happy. Although this was her choice it was not their way. She had been confronted once before for making a choice as this, and that was when her Father had asked Angel to try to keep tabs on her. Angel could not keep tabs on her if he wasn't there. This is what she took advantage of. Kat grits her teeth a little harder to try to coax the pain away. She looked up to where Aaron and Deb stood by the hatch getting ready to open it and allow those outside in. All Kat could hope for is that they believe the story about the transporter and let them alone. She knew it was a long shot, but it was all they had at the moment. Kat once again leaned back in the chair closing her eyes praying to the Creator that the pain would stop
  4. This log should have ben posted June 16th. As Schawnsee left the room that the disguises were done in, she let out a heavy sigh. She knew her hair and eye color could be changed back as soon as the mission was over but her hair length could not be replaced. Once it was cut there was no putting it back. She made her way to the back to her quarters to do as Cmdr Ridire had suggested. She didnt want to worry those in the tribe, but she didnt want it coming from Angelis either. If she didnt come back, she wanted her tribe to hear that it was of her own free will that she went on this mission. She wanted them to hear in her own voice that she could have rejected the mission and allowed someone else to go but she didnt. Her father had always told her, "When its time for the Creator to take you, you will go no matter where you are. Remember The Creator has plans for each of us and trying to change those plans does not please him." Kat sat at her console and looked at it. This was the hardest thing her had to do. Her family and tribe always knew this was a possibilty but she had never had to face the fact that a mission was so dangerous, this could be her time. She took a deep breath. "Computer Begin recording holomessage." "This message is to be played to the Crew of the Reaent. I know I have only been her for a short while but I want each and everyone I have enteracted with to know that in My Oppion it was time well spent. Ltjg Angelis, I would like for you to personally deliver this message to our tribe and my family. When you do, I do not wish for you to disclose whats in the message. I wish for them to hear it from me in my own voice. This of coarse is with the Captians permission. I also wish for you to take my braids to them. It may be all that is left for the burial ritual. Captian Micheals I wish you to know that I have enjoyed my time here on the Reanet and hold no regrets on going on this mission. May the Creator or your own higher being care and keep you. Good Bye. Computer End recording." She sat back a moment and gathered herself. Now for her tribe and family. "Computer begin recording to be taken and played for my family and tribe." "My family and tribe. If you are watching this I have crossed over to the promised land. I am now with the Creator. I know you are seeing the change in my hair and eye color as well as the length. It was requird for the mission that took my life. Angelis has something I have asked him to deliver to you. I wish you to know I had a choice to deny the assignment of this mission but did not choose to do so. I took this mission of my own free will. I also knew the high likelyhood that I may not return. I wished for you to hear this in my own voice so you knew it to be true. May the Creator give you the strength to carry on without me and please do not hate the Federation for me not returning to the tribe. I did this because I wished to protect our planet from the evils that lurk about. AHO!" Kat closed her eyes and lowered her head as she stated, "Computer End Message." Kat looked at ther chronometer and noticed that it was time to meet the rest of the team. She gathered her things and laid her braids on the console so Angelis would not have trouble finding them. She stood and walked to the door and stopped and turned one last time. She gave a heavy sigh and walked out allowing the doors to slide closed behind her.
  5. Kat stood on the transporter. Her hand was on her phaser, as per her normal readiness for an away mission. Who knows what's going to be there when they dematerialize on the surface. She was not going to be caught off guard again. Not if she could help it. She still had the last episode fresh in her mind. The one that had gotten her demoted. She took a deep breath as if getting herself ready for transport, but it was actually a sigh if releif that she had been placed on a ship that at least she had someone she knew and could confide it. She so much wanted to tell the Security Chief that she was not a newbie fresh out of The Academy, but then that would be disobeying orders. Thats one thing Kat would not do. She had never disobeyed orders, no matter how much she disliked the order given. Well, almost anyway. Kat took her stance and was ready when the question came out. "OK everyoneReady?" "Aye Sir," Kat replied. "Ready for transport."
  6. A Joint Log Between Schawnsee and Arch Angelis Arch Angel waiting on Schawnsee. "Computer, open Risa #1, program Angel 001." Kat found her way to the holodeck and tapped the console to enter. When the doors opened she stood in Awe seeing the scene she had remembered from the trip to Risa, The place she meant up with Arch after so long of not seeing him after she had left the tribe for Star Fleet. "Arch? Are you here?" He poked his head around the corner of the beach pavilion. "Hey there little one." He walked around and into full sight, replete in his beach wear ... extra large picnic basket full of goodies, and blanket in hand ... and grinning from ear to ear. "Surprise !" "Arch Its wonderful. Just how I remembered from a few months ago. What made you think of this??" She says with a very large smile on her face. He looked at Kat, seeing the smile grow on her face, and her face abeam with that exuberance he remembered, "Well it was all I could come up with to properly welcome you, and it needed to be a good surprise. So, I programmed the computer to put us back on the beach at Risa, a very good memory and a great meal," holding up the basket of goodies. Kat walks over to Arch and places her arms around him giving him a big hug. "Thank you. It is a wonderful surprise indeed. And a wonderful memory." All of a sudden Kat heard something in the water. She quickly turned to see the dolphins poking their heads up out of the water. Chuckling, "Yeah, I even had the computer program our friends, although they look and act the same, they are not. They do not have the ability to talk to us as our family back on Risa. The computer has it's limits. Well, shall we go pick out a good spot? I can assure you we have the best one and guarantee you it will not be taken. Another good part of building your own picnic and clear blue skies to boot." Kat returns her look to Arch. "Yes, let's go," she looks back to the dolphins watching as she begins to move, they follow up the beach front in the water. "So how are you feeling my friend? After your radiation ordeal." Smiling, "As well as possible...thanks to the good doctor and her staff, and in no small measure thanks to you little one. For if you had not been on patrol and spotted me out cold on that deck, well the out come may not have been as good as it has come out," looking at the Dolphins as they played in the clear azure blue waters. "No need to thank me. Anyone would have done the same for you, I'm sure. I just happened to be on that patrol that day and happened to be the first one, I guess, in the area after you had fallen." She looks up at him smiling as she's speaking to him, glad to have someone on the ship she actually knows. It makes things so much easier. "Well, little one, you know that things do happen for a reason. As our elders have spoken time after time, there are no coincidences. I think you were placed there at that critical time, when you should have been doing other duties, instead you were ordered to make a patrol sweep. Well, what ever the reason, you did in fact start a chain of events that ultimately culminated in the saving of my hide. Now enough of that reflection, it is truly good to have you here and now you can take a few moments to give me the briefing you have been stalling to get around to." He was speaking then not speaking, as he spread the blanket on the spot over looking the water. "It is good to be here," she said aloud and then when to silent speech with him. 'With you here to help me get acclimated that is,' with the question of the briefing she turned back to the water a moment before speaking aloud once more. She looked to the sands of the beach and took a deep breath and exhaling it slowly. "Arch I was demoted. For something I should have seen coming. I had an ambassador die under my watch. I am lucky that I am not in a penal colony someplace. The Court martial admiral found favor with me and demoted me and placed me here. That's the reason for the name change. I am now known as Schawnsee only. No longer Kat, Kathryn Swan, or even Cmdr." Kat sighs once again as she sits on the blanket Arch had spread out for them. She looked back up to him with sorrowful eyes. He placed a gentle hand on her small shoulder. "Well, I knew something had gone awry when I woke up in the sick bay, and saw the ensign pip. No way would star fleet allow a commander to be busted back to ensign unless a very grave incident had occurred indeed." He dropped his gaze for a moment, as suddenly as he had been calm and reflective with Kat, he suddenly grabbed her, and began tickling her sensitive ribs, "Well little one you will always be my little commander," smiling wryly out of the corner of his mouth as he continues the tickling. At the beginning of the tickling Kat starts giggling uncontrollably. She started grabbing at his hands to get him to stop but wasn't having much luck. Trying to speak between the laughing, "Stop.... Oh .. Sto ..pp .... my ribs....... "laughing all the harder now, " quit!... Ribs..... hurt," she tries to cry out as she's trying to roll away from him but not having any luck at all. He continued to tickle Kat as she struggled to get free. Finally he simply jumped up, and headed for the water, looking back at her. He saw her begin to get that, get even look on her face. Grinning he shouted, "Last one out to the jetties is a rotten ballerina egg!" "THAT'S NO Fair You have a head start!!" She quickly got up and began to chase him into the water. She ran into the water and began swimming after him. She was no match for his strength. She just did the best she could to try to at least catch up. He looked back at her. He slowed a bit, just enough to stay a length ahead of her. "Come on little one, all that time as a commander has made you a bit soft has it no?" he called back to her chuckling as he swam. "If I catch you, Ill show you just HOW soft I am not," she calls ahead of her, keeping her strokes even trying not to tire to soon. Reaching the jetty just ahead of her, he turned and holding out a hand to her. "Come on little one," he placed his other hand in his tote bag that was slung across his shoulder...pulling out a few boiled eggs. "Come on let's take a snack break, before we swim back and pig out on the main course." She reached out taking the offered hand as he helped her up on the jetty. She hadn't forgotten the tickling engagement a short time ago. She quickly got a good poke in on him to his ribs. "Gotchya back" she quickly steps behind him trying to keep from his reach. "OOF," he exclaimed, as he saw her go behind him. "OK, OK, we are even. Here you need some protein as well," handing her the hard boiled egg. "But I did win the race." He says smiling. Kat came out from behind him and took the egg. "Of course you did. You beat me to the jetty, What do you mean you didn't win." She says as she begins peeling the shell off the egg. "Well, you just caught up with me, at least I can keep an eye on you now, you know what I gave to your grand father before he passed, and now I can better keep that oath," he looked at her devouring the egg, smiling. She took a bite of the egg, and looked back to Arch's eyes. "The oath to My Grandfather," she looked to the rocks of the jetty, "I still miss him." She lets her hands fall slowly to her side, still holding the remaining part of the egg. She then looked to the sky and thought of her Grandfather and the way he always spoke to her. Finishing the egg off, "Well let's get back to the beach. We can walk there on the back of the jetties. "We have a lot to catch up on, and we do not have as much time as we had on Risa," motioning her along. "We can talk and reminisce while we eat, and drink. Oh by the way, he is still with us in spirit little one, just in spirit," waving his hand to the sky. "...as are all of those before us, remember the passage of dreams?? That is the realm they abide in now, and will greet us one day when we go to join them at the camp fires of our ancestors, but not today, so smile and be happy, we have each other, and I will always be with you." She came back to what he said and finished the egg. Kat looked to him and smiled, for she did remember the Passage of dreams he spoke of. "I know they are still with us in spirit but I do still miss him in body. That will take a while for me to get over." She went to the edge of the Jetty and jumped in calling back to him. "Ill beat you back this time big brother!" She looked over and saw the dolphins near her. She placed her hand out and one of them swam under it allowing her to catch its dorsal fin pulling her toward the beach. He watched as she and the holo dolphin started back towards the beach. "Why that little..." laughing, he spoke into the wrist link to the computer, "Remove dolphin #2 from program ... now please," as he strode back to the beach. "That should cool her off a bit," he continued onto the beach, and watched as she began to swim. He could hear her small voice grumbling out many swears as the dolphin had simply vanished underneath her. He was waiting as she climbed back to the shore line, waiting with a smile and a towel. She had one of those 'how dare you' looks on her face. With her mind she scolded him for doing that. 'You always have to play rough don't you,' She glares at him then her gruff look is taken over by a smile. She takes the towel and begins to dry off walking past him to ONLY Then twirl the towel and snap it back at him, getting him on the back of his leg. She then started laughing hard and running up the beach to where he had placed the basket and the blanket. He jumped at the sting from the towel, and began running after her to the picnic site. "Hey I wasn't playing rough. You tried cheating this time," he pulled up beside her as they ran, he slowed to a fast paced walk. "Little one, I know how much you miss him, but take comfort in the fact he was very proud of you. There is no need to hide what you feel, or try to hide your emotions, we are here, and together now. Let's try to enjoy our time together. Welcome home my little one." He placed an arm around her shoulders and smiled looking down at her face as she smiled. Kat stood on the blanket listening to Arch's words to her. The smile letting him know she understood. She changes the subject to the lunch he had brought along. "What is for lunch Big Brother. It does smell good." He reached deep into the huge basket. First pulling out a jar of chilled pina colada, followed by an enormous plate of her favorite BBQ pig, bread, turkey, cheese, and the piece de resistance, his famous 7 layer chocolate cake, and double Dutch chocolate ice cream. "There we go. Now how's that for a feast?" "You didn't forget a thing." she grinned from ear to ear. "Even down to the cake and Icecream. It is a feast indeed." As Kat prepared their plates, he poured the coladas into two coconut shell glasses, even putting the little paper umbrellas in each one, nothing too good for them. They deserved it. He looked at the sky. "Thank you Grand Father, for bringing us back close to each other," he looked back at her and smiled. Indeed two old friends enjoying a moment in time together. "Under the ever watchful eyes of their ancient ones." Kat looked up as Arch spoke. When he finished she only spoke "A' ho," Amen in their native tongue.
  7. ::pushes NDak up into the front of the line:: HEs volunteering. !! ::points to NDak and backs away::
  8. Two days later... Arch slowly begins climbing back to consciousness. Angel, lying on the biobed, looked around the sick bay. Not exactly sure what has happened and how he got there. He opens his eyes wider he takes a hold of his head. "Gods, what happened. I feel terrible. I feel like I've been ran over by a dominion battle cruiser." He closes his eyes once more. Schawnsee enters Medical, wanting to looking in on how Arch was doing. She knew when she left him that he was in pretty bad shape. She walked over to Arch. She got there just in time to see him close his eyes again. "Well, well, look who's woken up. You gave me a pretty good scare there." He opened his eyes trying to focus on who was speaking to him. Kat's image begins to gel in his vision. "What? Kat is that you? What are you doing here? He was grinning from ear to ear, elated to see her once again. Kat places her hand to his mouth. "Shhhh!" She then places her hand on the bed next to his head. She whispers to him, "You can no longer call me Kat. Its a long story, but you have to call me by my Indian name from now on." She looks away a moment to see if anyone around had heard him. Then she looks back to him smiling seeing the coast was clear of any trouble. Arch looked surprised. He took her hand down, then he noticed her pips or the lack there of. "OK. What ever you say si...errr little one." He then lowers his voice to a whisper. "What in the hell is going on ??" He was still smiling happy to see his little one once more, but puzzled non the less. "We will talk more in private, Right now I'm here to check on you. I found you out cold on the flight deck. I got you here and you were in pretty bad shape. How do you feel now?" She smiles at him. Arch places his hand to his head, holding it once again. Still forcing at smiling at her, he explains. "Like a dominion battle cruiser ran over me, and backed up. Well, little one guess I owe you one." She lightly brushes a strand of hair from his forehead. "No, now we are even, but I do have good news for you. I am now posted here on the Reaent as security." She giggled a bit. "Now we can keep close tabs on each other." Arch's face lit up looking up at her. "You are??, that's great! Well, then have we got some catching up to do, as soon as I can get dressed, we can go for some chow, and possibly do a tour around the ship, and even the lounge. My fellow pilots would love to meet you." He says to her smiling enthusiastically. "Ohhhh no you don't. Not until you get clearance from the docs. Your not going anywhere." He looks up at her, "Humph...I'm just fine, and look I have even intensified my tan little one." His smiling not letting up. A medic approaches hearing the word doc as doing rounds. "Ahh he is awake." The Medic looks to Kat. "Aren't you Ens Schawnsee? " Kat looks around, "Aye. I am Schawnsee can I help you?" "Ens Schawnsee The Doctors need to have a talk with you, If you don't mind, Could you come with me?" Kat looks down to Arch. "Ut oh, I think I'm in trouble now." Arch looked up at the medic and then looks back at her. "Really? how are you in trouble...." He stops in mid sentence and gives her a smirkish grin. "Aahhh you have just came onboard haven't you??" She smiles with a nod. "You got it." "I understand now, well get on with your duties then Ensign, and thank you little one for saving my hide." He winks at Kat then turns his attention to the medic. "Carry on then medic, do your duty." "Ill catch up with you later Arch." She shakes her head at him, hearing what he said to the medic. She answers him with a half hearted "Aye sir," since he did out rank her now. She turned to the medic and moves off.
  9. A joint log between Angel and Schawnsee Arch Angel out cold on the fighter bay deck. He had staggeringly stepped off the fighter and lost consciousness. Schawnsee is patrolling the decks as ordered and decides to check on the flight deck. She enters the area and sees the fighters stationed there. She walks around towards them and notices someone lying on the floor next to one of the fighters. "Oh my lands!" She runs over and kneels down to the pilot that is face down on the deck. She gently supports his head and rolls him over. The Look on her face told a story in itself. "DECK MASTER GET MEDICAL DOWN HERE NOW!! WE HAVE A MAN DOWN!!!" Kat kneels next to her close friend watching him closely and checking his pulse as the Medical team arrived. She helped them get him on the antigrav sled and to SB for treatment. Kat has been watching as the medics work on Angel after she had brought him in. She was worried about her friend. She was not used to seeing him flat on his back like this. He was normally so fit and active. With the medical teams busy working on the injured, she figures she will come back later for her entrance exam. She watches a few more minutes as Arch is stabilized and then heads for the door.
  10. <A joint lo between, Schawnsee and Arch Angelis acting as Admiral Anderson> Kat is sitting in the outer chambers awaiting the verdict to be brought in. She was afraid to even look towards the door. Admiral Anderson instructed the security guard posted to bring the defendant back into the courtroom area. Kat looked up as the Sec officer opened the door and motioned for her to come with him. She stood and walked slowly out the door and standing before the Admiral. She remained silent knowing how much trouble she is in. Admiral Anderson asked, looking down at the commander, "Commander are you ready to receive the judgment of this tribunal, and to comply with the court findings, and judgment??" "Yes sir." Kat says in a very worried tone of voice. "I am Sir.". Admiral Anderson nodded, "Very well." He then signaled the reporter to read back the charges. When finished,he asked .."Commander is there any statement ,or additional evidence on your behalf you may wish to present to this court before sentence is passed?" Kat looked to the floor, knowing what has been told in the tribunal is all truth. She then took a deep breath and standing straight and tall. With a voice trying to show some confidence she replied. "No Sir. Everything is how it was stated, I stand ready to receive punishment for my actions." Admiral Anderson standing and looking down regretfully for a moment, then back up. "Very well then, it is the judgment of this tribunal, you have been found guilty as charged, you have committed an act unbecoming the conduct of an officer in star fleet and charged with the safe conduct, and protection of an ambassador, to insure the safety of said individual in your charge. Furthermore the resulting ramifications from said dereliction of duty on your part has greatly threatened the very safety, as well as progress ,and negoiations of the federation in this sector. Off the record, you have caused one hell of a mess." At that Kat looks to the floor, away from the Admiral. "For the record , due to your excellent record, and your past demonstration of duty to the fleet , and this federation, the normal mandatory sentence has been commuted. You shall be reduced in rank to ...Ensign. You have the option of staying in star fleet, and being reassigned, or you may resign your commission, this is the judgment of this tribunal. Do you have any future questions for this court?" "Kat looked up to the Admiral a bit relieved that she does have a choice. All the years in Star Fleet have paid off. "Only one question Sir, If I take the Ensign rank and continue in Star fleet, How long do I have to wait for a posting to another vessel?" The Admiral looked at Kat. "Is that your final query Ensign? If so this tribunal shall stand adjourned, and sentence passed." Looking to the floor once more Kat nods. She is then taken by the arm by the Security staff and led towards the Admiral as he stepped off of the platform. Admiral Anderson slammed the gavel down..."Very well, reporter ...let the records reflect this courts decision, furthermore the accused has accepted sentence, and requested her options. Let the record show this tribunal has met all regulatory requirements of court martial proceedings as set forth in the rules and regulations of Star Fleet Command, and were strictly adhered to. I shall take personal charge of this matter hence forth, and insure the sentence shall be carried out in the best interest of the Federation. This Tribunal is dismissed." Kat looked up to the Admiral. She lightly sighed at the demotion she has now received. Although this was better than being kicked out of Star Fleet altogether. Now to find out what other options she has. "Am I to remain here Sir? or go to my quarters until summoned." Admiral looked back at Kat. "One moment please, stand by. Reporter forward all copies of the records to Commander Star Fleet, and Jag officer. Ensign come with me please." He turned and entered his ready room. Kat, taking a deep breath and looking at the Security officer, whom let go of her arm. She then followed the Admiral into the ready room and stands at the door at attention. The Admiral taking a seat behind his desk, motioned to the sec officer to stand down, and dismissed him. "Please Kat stand at ease, secure the door please, and then take a seat." he said to her, turning, he pours a cup of coffee for himself...and slides one he poured for Kat over to her. Kat, doing as told, secures the door. She then walked back towards him and sits where indicated. Still stiff as a board and very nervous. Smiling, the admiral relaxed his expression and leaned back in his chair. "Well Ensign, I did all I possibly could to keep you from being dishonorably dismissed from the fleet, and out of Rura Pente , or a copper mine...please...relax." "Thank you Sir. It is much appreciated. The charges were true but it was an accident I assure you. I feel bad about the entire incident. You said I had options. Could you please explain?" Kat sits back a bit in the chair. She still has a straight posture in the chair. She had a feeling that there was a, 'I did you a favor now you can do one for me' coming from this. The Admiral noticing her still being wary. "I assure you. There is not an ulterior motive in mind for you," sipping his coffee, "I have followed your career, and well aware of the facts as they pertain to the incident. "furthermore, I am well aware that it was an accident...and I believe you. However the letter of the regulations that we, as star fleet officers must follow, found you guilty. As you are well aware of, regulations require you to, if necessary place your own life in jeopardy to insure the safety of those in your charge and that is where the regulations got you. Therefore, by the strictest letter of the regulations you were remiss, or derelict in your duty." "Yes sir. I agree I was. I am not disagreeing with the judgment in the least. I am pleasantly surprised as a matter of fact. And again I thank you. The only thing I am questioning are the Options you spoke of. Am I to go back to the USS Tango as an Ens? And since I am an Ensign, I presume I will not take the CSEC post back." "Yes and no, to answer to your question. Yes you will return to the Tango, but only long enough to gather your personal belongings, and you are ordered not to speak to anyone of this matter under any circumstances on the Tango. You will then be transferred to another ship." "No one? May I ask Why Sir?" Kat asked curiously. She would like to at lease tell her Commanding officers goodbye. "You may ask."... smiling at her. "ok,here is the deal...I have, lets say pulled in some favors owed to me. I have made arrangements for you to be transferred to another star ship. None finer, for a ship and crew. You will be reporting to the U.S.S.Reaent as ASEC, under your other name. You will be in a totally different quadrant, and well out of sight, out of mind. God knows, Ensign, there were some involved who were screaming for your blood. Now I understand you have ...ummm, shall we say family there, and you may brief them on the general information. Under sworn secrecy of course. Do not divulge or seek to bring this matter to common knowledge. To do so would undermine all I have tried to avoid, and I guarantee it would not bode well for you... or you can resign from the fleet, and take your chances in the private sector...I highly recommend you take my offer." "Thank you Sir, I will take your offer as proposed." Kat thinks for a second, "Sir? you said my other name? " Kat sits closer to the edge of the chair noticeably confused about this. "What other name are you referring to?" "Yes...your American Indian one. In essence you have a new start, and the possibility of a new career. Off the record I shall hate losing an outstanding officer and the Reaents gain is my loss. Should you run into difficulties, contact me immediately. I do not foresee any, but this is an infinite universe, with infinite possibilities." Anderson looking out of the portal at the beauty of a nearby nebula. "I see, Thank you Sir. I will only tell my family that I have been transferred and will not give then specific details of it. I will explain to them it is classified. Sir? when do I report to the USS Reaent? " Anderson turned to face Kat once more. "As soon as you gather your personal things from the Tango. You are to proceed to the Tigress. Your orders have already been cut, and forwarded. The Tigress will rendezvous with the Reaent, and you will transfer then. Well this is the last time I may call you Commander, Kat... You will always be one of my finest officers ...but when you leave this ready room you are Ensign from now on, and I will address you as such. If I can assist you in any way, please do not hesitate." He then held out his hand towards Kat. Kat stood and taking the Admirals hand. "Thank you sir for all you have done. I hope to someday regain that Cmdr rank. I will do all I can to do so." Anderson nodded, "You are welcome Ensign. And if I know the officers under my command, you will gain it back someday. Good luck and god speed..".dismissed." He watched solemnly as she turned and left his office. Kat smiled finding out she had made favor with at least one Admiral. She turned and left the room to follow the orders given to her and to start a new career. She would gain the rank again she had no doubt,
  11. Character bio Name: Schawnsee (Human name Katherine Swan, nick named Kat) Race: Human / Native American Height: 5' Weight: 145 lb. DOB 750320.0 Eye color: brown Hair : Black worn in pigtails low on back of head, braided Parents: (father) Running Horse (mother) Cassandra Swan Backround Kat was born on Earth on an Indian reservation but was moved when she was only 4 months old. Her parents wanted her to learn the ways of the Indians but were reluctant to teach them to her for fear she would be made fun of when she attended school. So they decided that they would tell her when she was old enough, and was able to make the decision for herself. Kat did well in school and graduated with honors. When she became of age, her parents told her of her heritage and at that point she chose her Indian name Schawnsee, meaning Little Spirited one, with the help of her Grandfather the chief. Kat then expressed interest in joining Space fleet and becoming a security officer. She liked the thought of trying to be a peace maker. She learned a bit about her heritage and then went to Spacefleet Academy. Upon graduation she was given orders to report to the USS Hood as a security officer. Medical History Katherine had a bout of the Old fashioned measles when she was 10 and it is not known if there was any lasting affects of this disease. The doctors on the Hood have found out of her disorder and try to keep tabs on her. She tryed to hide it but it was found when she had been away on an away mission and her medicine bag was taken from her. Apon arrival back on the ship she was very ill. When she as alone she had one of her officer retrieve the spare she had in her office. She managed to prepare her meds and take them without the med staff seeing her. It was only after the med staff conducted a second scan that they found the new substance in her system and quized her about it. She was reluctant on telling but was given an alternative. Tell? or be released from Spacefleet. She didnt want this so she revieled her condtion to the CMO and the CO. The Disorder is in her blood, If her herbs or a snythetic medication administerd by a medical personal is not taken on a regular basis, her blood starts forming crystals and the circulation starts slowing. She can go into a type of comma or even die from lack of critical oxygen being moved in her body. Kat has recently been given a cure for her disorder. Her Grandfather had found a cure and given it for delivery to a young Warrior son of another Tribal Chief. This son was a good freind of Kat and knew of where to find her within Star Fleet. <<reference. "Whats done on Risa Stays on Risa">> TRANSFERS Kat was transferred to the USS Tango and placed as that vessels Chief Of Security. Kat handled this post well. She did her best to keep the officers on the ship safe and the ship secure. An Incident happened which lead Kat to being set up for a court martial. After the tribunal Admiral Anderson spoke with Kat about the options available to her. She could either leave Star Fleet all together with a dishonorable discharge or take him up on an offer. He offered her a complete reduction in rank and a complete move to another vessel. She was not to speak of this to anyone. She had to go to the Tango, gather her things and leave. Anything more could be bad for her as well as the crew she spoke to. Kat did as she was told. She collected her things, and then went to report to her new post. She would have to start all over. At least she had a new start and didn't end up in Rura Pente' or worse. <<reference "And Justice for All">> Psychiatric Profile Katherine is a well balanced individual and is very willing to learn. She gets along well with pretty much everyone she meets. She is notably shy when first introduced but seems to get over it in short order. The only trouble ever noted was when a fellow Cadet started making fun of her heritage and she fought in defense of her honor, seriously injuring the criticizing cadet. She was placed in detention for 3 days for the incident and has never shown any other trouble. She has learned, after this incident, to control herself very well. She is very devoted to her duties. This does sometimes get her in trouble.
