  4. Sarvek Posted on May 23 2006, 07:21 PM I couldnt agree more Sarvek! but than again I am slightly partial. Besides with out us Ops and Comm Officers The Security and Marines would have to deal with the Captains wrath over the Comunicators. ::Shivers:: What a scary thought!
  5. Happy B-day ::Humbley accepts the Cake but pulls out some romualn Ale for good measure::
  6. “Computer, create setting woodlands, Earth style,” Pneuma said as the doors to the holodeck closed encasing him and his dog Cherub inside. Seeing he had a bit of a break Dom decided that he would head to the holodeck and take Cherub on a hunt. Instantly there was a vast expanse of trees with Hills and ravines with creeks cutting through them. By the appearance the setting was in late spring or early summer. “Very nice but the season is all wrong. Computer, Set the season to autumn.” Dom watched as the bright greens turned into fiery reds, Golden yellows, and dreary browns. The floor, which up until now had been grass and dirt, changed as well. Instead of the green and brown landscape, It was covered in fallen leaves. “Oh yeah much better! Now we need wildlife. Computer, create game animals” “Define Parameters,” Responded the computer in the usual voice. “Oh . . . How about rabbits, Squirrels, Pheasant, quail, Foxes, and deer.” With that Dom watched as all the different animals appeared together and were very active. The Foxes spotted their lunches and moved to attack the rabbits. The squirrels began chirping at each other. The game birds began to fight! “Computer, Freeze Program!” He yelled with a sigh of relief. “Ok lets try this again. Computer, relocate all animals to various parts of the woods according to their natural habitat. Also make the animals as real as possible Right down to their scent. Set the time of day to dawn. Weather conditions: Clear with a few clouds, about 46F with a gentile breeze.” Dom looked around and than looked down realizing he was still in uniform. “Well this won’t due, Arch!” The control panel appeared before him and he began designing and replicating the appropriate attire. “Hmm . . . almost forgot something.” With that he created a hologram of an Antique Remington 12-gauge shotgun. Now with everything ready to go, Dom slipped the hunting attire on over top his uniform and took the gun in hand. “Now we are ready aren’t we boy!” Cherub’s tail began to wag as his master unleashed him. “Computer, Run Program.” Ambient noises began filling the air. Birds chirped signifying the start of a new day. The sounds of the creeks resounded off of the trees. The breeze kicked in causing the trees to sing and join the chorus. Cherub looked up at Pneuma and began wagging his tail again as if to say, “thanks for bringing me to this place.” Dom could see his hot breath in the cool air. “Well boy, Let’s hunt us a rabbit!” Cherub knew that command all to well! Straight away he was off sniffing around knowing a rabbit had been around. Pneuma followed close behind shotgun in hand watching every move Cherub made. Cherub stopped for a moment and looked back at his master for a moment but quickly continued his pursuit. On and on Cherub walked searching for his trophy. When suddenly he stopped and lay down. “What are you doing, boy?” Dom whispered as he walked up to him. Just than a twig snapped. Dom glanced up to see a rabbit take off running. Raising the gun up to his shoulder he lined up a shot. The explosion echoed through out the wood, and the rabbit hit the dirt. Dom walked over to the lifeless rabbit and picked it up. Cherub looked with all the excitement a beagle could show. “Good boy, But what was with the laying down? Are you getting lazy?” With that he knelt down set the rabbit aside and proceeded to give Cherub a well-deserved belly rub. It was a joyous time being the first time in a long time that Dom got to go hunting with Cherub but it was sadly interrupted by a yellow alert. “Oh well time to go boy. Sit!” Cherub sat up and waited as Pneuma put his leash back on. “Computer, Reanimate the rabbit and save program as Pneuma-Cherub Hunt 1” “Program saved” Responded the computer. With that the two exited the Holodeck. “Computer End Program.”

  8. Give me TNG or give me death!!
  9. All the GMs rock hard. I am parshall to Dacotah but that is because she was the one that graduated me. LoAmi is great because she helped me to open my eyes a bit and take a look at more than just my post. Jami is awesome, Atragon is excellent, NDak is . . . Well I am still disappointed because I have yet to be killed in one of his academys. But for all those I missed You all are awesome keep up the good work.
  10. I gotta say maybe to this one. DS9 was not my Favorite Trek but it definately wasnt the worst. I could handle seeing a DS9 movie but It wouldnt make me upset if they didnt make one.
  11. I believe I can fly!
  12. Ah yes I would do my whole Red shirt shpeel here but I already did it before your first mission so I will just emphisis on the point of trying not to get too much blood on the Red shirt!. Have fun and I look forward to simming with you again. Oh and one more thing Dont trust that finn character when it comes to the WCE I have yet to try one but the way I have seen people respond to them is just not pretty! I guess my reasoning for not getting plastered is because I rather enjoy my place on the stage with the rest of the red star band! Hope to see you at the Red star!

  14. Nearing the Beast Pneuma's Personal Log As time ticks by my heart is racing with anticipation. I am just now beginning to get a look at this Galactic Monster and I am taken back by it. I have never before seen anything quite like this in person before. The colors are astounding. The sheer beauty of this beast almost gives a false sense of security when looking at it. I almost find it hard to believe that once inside the nebula we will be almost running blind. I can't help thinking that maybe this one is different. Maybe this one is actually a beauty and not the beast that the others are. But history proves such thoughts are pointless. This great cloud will cause all the interference and trouble that every other known Nebula does. What is truly strange is the fact that I seem to be able to feel the anticipation on board the ship. It is . . . Intense to say the least. Never before have I felt the weight of this many people’s emotion running through me. From what I am sensing some fear death, others are excited about charting the huge thing, still others are leery of just what they will find in there. Personally I just hope that the Science team starts mapping this thing soon. I fear it would look pretty bad for me if I ended up crashing into something (Heaven forbid!). A million thoughts run their course through my mind. What will we find? What untold dangers will we forego? Is there life in this Nebula? I thought I got through this earlier but strangely I am right back to where I was. I managed to get off the bridge though which was a good thing cause I have been itching to get down to the flight deck and get a good look at the new fighters and meet some of the flight crew. I did get to take a good look at them thankfully and I have to admit they are very pretty looking to say the least. While I was down there I inadvertently ran into "Arch Angel", who gave me a tour of the flight deck and showed me around. I had asked him if he wanted to get together after the shift and play some cards but he refused due to previous plans. I think after my shift I will go to the lounge and meet some people. Since I boarded I haven’t done much more than work and stay in my quarters. Apart from getting my physical that is. So I would really like to start making some friends. If I don't try something I am going to become very bored very quick and that’s never a good thing. Hopefully I will meet some people who would be interested in a little Phaser Tag! It’s been a while since I have done that but it is just like riding a bike only this bike burns if you mess up. There is not much that has helped me more with accuracy with a phaser than that game. One positive of me going to the lounge though is Chocolate. I haven’t had much since the academy and I am about having a fit so I think I may get some a little later. Ah well I guess I should keep my mind centered on getting us to the Nebula. End Personal Log.
  15. Happy Birthday Philip!
  16. Sr. Ops Log Stardate 0605.67 A million thoughts pass through my mind as I sit here on the bridge. The eeriest one has to be this Nebula we are headed for. I am watching the view screen awaiting the time when I can see this Beautiful terror. I call it that because of this basic knowledge of nebulas we learn in the academy. The interference caused by the nebula will disable shields, Tractor beams, and mess with the sensors something awful. That fact along with the fact that the An Men Nebula has not been charted yet. It has only recently been discovered. Who knows what we will find there? For all we know we may find a new species that is more violent than any we have yet seen. We could blindly stumble upon the breeding grounds of the crystalline entity. All of these thoughts are putting me on edge. Perhaps it would be best if I’d try to get my mind off of it. Too bad I am on duty right now cause I sure could use a drink at the lounge. That would get my mind off of this for sure. Oh well I guess I cant change anything except my own mind and right now that is about the hardest thing to do. I really could use someone to talk to. If anything just to break this awkward silence that is screaming in my head. Perhaps when my shift is over I will go to the Fighter docks and take a look at the new fighters. I hear they are a sight to see and I wouldn’t mind taking a glance at them so I know what is coming and going out of there. Plus I wouldn’t mind getting to know the pilots a bit. I think it would help communications if we all know who is talking. Personally I heard those pilots live it up when not flying around in space sending enemy spacecraft down to unknown planets the hard way. ::Sighs:: Well I guess I am just going to check the course and speed just to be sure that everything is still optimum. Ens. Pneuma out.
  17. Dr. Crusher>::to Deanna Troi:: Why do you have to be so . . . Empathic!
