I only watch the figure skating competitions. Though I'm starting to find speed skating interesting as well. Thank goodness I got my new DVR in time. I've been recording all the skating while I'm at work. =) It's been a fabulous Olympics so far.

I've always rather enjoyed the TNG episode, "Coming of Age". I would think it could technically be a cadet/ensign-type episode. :P
