  1. Nah. They're Gotham police. They're corrupt, not very good at their job, and they don't try very hard.
  2. It's the "Fast and the Furriest." ... First thing that came to mind, please forgive me.
  3. One week until the Simpson's movie. Or, 6 days, 15 hours and 22 minutes.
  4. You do realize of course that the movie is directed by Michael Bay, and Steven Spielburg is only producing it? I.E., he is only paying for it. Not to mention Spielburg tends to stay away from CGI more than most directors nowadays (including Michael Bay). Which leads me to my question about the Transformers movie for anyone who's seen it. How was the editing? Classic Michael Bay? Way to fast editing? Can't hold a shot for more than 10 seconds?
  5. Actually, I love the classics. The Thing (and possibly The Fly) is one of the few remakes I like better than the original. The original Invasion of the Bodysnatchers is one of my favorite movies. On another note, I just heard the Ducktales theme song. And I really miss that show.
  6. Eewww...Top Gun?! :) I can't believe I still have that soundtrack on tape. I never, ever watch a movie that I've seen before on TV. Because I usually own it. A lot of times I'll see it's playing on TV, then break out the DVD and watch it. Pirates of the Caribbean for instance. Widescreen format, fancy stereo sound, and no editing or commercials. And I never have one or two favorite movies. It usually amounts closer to ten or twenty. There are some obvious ones (Star Wars, Indiana Jones, and Jurassic Park trilogies), and then not so obvious. Big Trouble in Little China, John Carpenter's The Thing, John Carpenter's Halloween (lots of John Carpenter), Sleepy Hallow, Silence of the Lambs, Bubba Ho-Tep, and Gladiator, just to name a few.
  7. Happy Independence Day! The day where I can celebrate my freedom to set off firecrackers...And nothing else. But I did have bratwurst and watched some fireworks. I don't think it gets any more 4th of July than that. As for the movie Independence Day, I was thrilled to see that Fox finally wasn't airing it on the 4th. For once.
  8. Yes. That, and I just found out that Alice Cooper is coming to the local fair.
  9. And now for something completely different. "Well we got no class And we got no principles And we got no innocence We can't even think of a word that rhymes"
  10. Oh. Wow. That was the funniest thing I've seen in a while.
  11. D'oh! I meant to watch it but I completely forgot last night. I did catch "On the Lot", which I was kind of interested in (I haven't been interested in a reality show in forever, two is unheard of), but I didn't really like it. It had promise, but it wasn't as good as I hoped. But Pirate Master looks entertaining.
  12. One scoop of mint chocolate chip, and one scoop of chocolate on a waffle cone. Although some of my favorite ice cream treats are drumsticks, ice cream sandwiches, and fudgsicles.
  13. Original Series, for reasons that have been stated.
  14. After beaming down to the resort planet eagerly, Thoros took a long moment to take in his surroundings, trying to remember all the information he had on the planet. Paradisia. Or was it Paradisio? He didn't care, as long as it was like they claimed it to be. Thoros was fully prepared to be on shoreleave, dressed in kakis shorts, a blue Hawaiian shirt, and sandals. As long as nothing arose in the middle of his shoreleave, the vacation would do Thoros a lot of good. Although he was pretty much over it, he still had trouble trusting himself and those around him ever since the incident with Swan, and the botched interrogation. Not to mention there was an illegal super weapon stored on Arcadia that he knew about. A couple days of relaxation would soon cure him of all that. Hopefully. Thoros hadn't really planned anything for shoreleave, beyond going down to the beach. He'd find a place to stay eventually. Thoros walked towards the public beaches, wondering what he was going to do with his shoreleave. He only planned to stay at the beach once; since the planet was a little warm for him, Thoros planned on staying indoors in the daytime, and then outside in the evenings. With a lot of swimming thrown in. Which is what he preferred anyway. Ten minutes later, Thoros was at the beach laying on his back, the tide lapping at his feet. Here, finally, he could sleep and forget about everything on his mind. He'd figure everything out later. Now, for the first time in a while, Thoros could relax.
  15. Tomorrow is Free Comic Book Day. Anyone else participating in the event? I'm really wanting the Simpson's and Futurama comic thingy, but with my luck they'll probably have fifty copies of Archie comics.
  16. Captain Planet I watched every single episode early every saturday morning when that show aired. Best. Cartoon. Ever. 'Cept maybe Animaniacs.
  17. I would like "Atwhay areway ouyay ookinglay atway?!" if it fits, please. If not, I'll take "I'm Umbday".
  18. Wait, I know this one...It's an invisible fire truck!
  19. ::raises his hand:: Have every short on tape. And I watch and quote them regularly. B)
  20. Sweet three toed sloth of the ice planet Hoth!!!! I'm in the middle of watching that movie at this moment. Just took a break from it a minute ago. And he just said that line!!! If that ain't coincidental, I don't know what is! And no, you're not biased Kansas. The only western I like more is "Blazing Saddles", but I don't think that counts.
  21. Disingenuous mountebanks with their subliminal chicanery! A pox on them!
  22. I started to panic there! Took me a long while before I read the second post. :)
  23. Dr. Rumack: What was it we had for dinner tonight? Elaine: Well, we had a choice, steak or fish. Dr. Rumack: Yes, I remember, I had the lasagna.
  24. Except that the whole reason Tatooine is so hot and dry is because it has two suns. Hence the fact that you wouldn't be able to get an ocean view. Yeah. Actually, I really like the stamp with Han and Chewie. But even though the Boba Fett isn't the best picture of him, he's my favorite and I have to go with him.
  25. I saw this on starwars.com. I was going to vote for the Boba Fett stamp, but it asked for my e-mail. I'm buying them whenever they come out, even if they are 40 cents.
