  1. 0706.26: We wake from Kawalus-induced sleep, but the air quality is poor, due to filter damage. The decision is made to land the Qob both for immediate air and life support relief, and also to give us a relatively safe location to begin extensive repairs. We land the Qob in a shallow muddly lake and get forcefields up to stop hull breaches. Tronoq comes to the bridge to set Messner’s broken bones from the landing. 0706.19: In the damage from the blast of the H'Tiss ship, the life support systems on the Qob are knocked completely offline. At best, it will take ten hours to fix, and the crew only has two hours of breathable air. There is a class M planet about three hours away. K'Walus concocts a plan to gas the entire crew unconscious so the air will last long enough for the ship to get to the planet. Everyone is gassed, with Thing left in charge of administering the antidote when the time comes. 0706.12: We beam over and find sick and dead Htiss everywhere. The computer core is successfully removed and beamed back. As the ship begins to fill with deadly gas, the remaining landing parties beam back and are taken to sickbay. Bch hooks up the core and transfers data to Engineering. Meanwile the Htiss attempt to gain distance on us, but we blow up their ship. 0706.05: The Htiss ship sends out a distress signal and fires on us. We take out their weapons. Their lifesigns appear to be fading. We decide to take a landing party to take their computer core and examine their sensors to adjust our cloak. 0705.29: Thul is dead. Tronoq is hallucinating. Random is being treated by Daggerhead, somewhat. Messner is okay, and notices plague blister on the dead Htiss. Bch reaches the bridge with Daggerhead and Thing. Vanroy gets to Engineering. All the Htiss are down from the gas and the bridge Htiss are beamed to the brig. We have partial weapons and half shields. We beam our men back and target the Htiss ship. 0705.22: TroNoQ and Thing fight off more guards in the MRF using gas and forks. When more guards arrive they take to the ventillation system. Thul comes into the brig with some guards and a torture artist to torture Random to death. One of the guards keels over vomiting. Negotiations with Thul generally fail until he finally lets Bch out, expecting her to give him computer access. She, of course, attacks him instead. This time, Thul is becoming ill as the fight begins and has lost his edge. TroNoQ and Thing drop into the brig area and engage the guards, saving Random's life and allowing Bch to finally defeat Thul. Sargh and Quv sleep through everything. 0705.15: Still trying to gain information from us, Thul kills Patty, and then threatens Chip. Tronoq offers medical access, but Thul kills Chip anyway. He goes for Bch and Kwalus next. Meanwhile Tronoq and Thing battle a guard and Karpath with a knife and nanoprobes. Meyvn’s tank is vaporized. After Bch is knocked out, Jay and Val attack Thul next. Random attacks with sink pipe. Thing activates the EMH body program. 0605.08: The pain-stun rifles beam us to our own bring in cells with two or three people. The Htiss boss beats up Gates and then Messner for technology and code information, with no luck. 0705.01: TronoQ and Riko bedriddenly throw insults and assorted objects at each other in the MRF. The Qob approaches the sensor buoy for a better look. When the Qob gets close, the buoy "activates", putting up shields and sending out a message deeper into H'Tiss space. The Qob destroys the buoy, but 20 minutes later a H'Tiss battlecruiser shows up. At first it seems like the cloaking device has deceived the cruiser's long range sensors, but then it employs a "jump drive" to take the Qob by surprise, and then to strategically stay on top of the Qob, disabling her. Messner sounds a "prepare for boarding" just before H'Tiss troops start beaming on board, entering with blinding flashes. 0704.24: Back to the Htiss: We start to move into more populated Htiss space. Tronoq is still in a dream-state in sickbay. Riko’s boots are infested with rash-causing bugs. Meanwhile sensors detect a beacon. We cloak and get closer for better scans. It emits sensor signals as well as periodic transmissions to Htiss space. 0704.17: Messner beats the crap out of Riko and the hallucinating Tronoq. All are currently alive, but Kwalus is treating their injuries. 0704.10: Alas, the nanites also attack the good DNA, as it is so similar to the virus DNA. In multiple efforts to save poor Meyvn, she and all her people die. 0704.03: After some programming adjustments, the nanites seem to work on Meyvn. Riko then extracts enough to begin injecting the surviving victims on the planet. He beams down and begins. In the meantime, Sojef dies. Meanwhile, on another usual day on the bridge, Vanroy if knifed a couple times by Kwalus. 0703.27: The doctor extracts the nanites from the Thing and injects them into the now-sick Meyvn. Multiple attempts to program them fail. Another attempt stabilizes her. Kwalus complains about the Qel so Messner heads down to help, and Bch takes a communication from Sojef. 0703.20: The first plague victim in the settlement dies. Sojef fires (and misses) at the Qob as she goes to cloak. He threatens us, but we ignore him, mostly. Meanwhile, the idea of using nanites from the Borg hand-thing to cure the plague is tossed around. 0703.13: With the team returned in the shuttlebay, we try to get to the bottom of the situation. Head doctor Meyvn agrees to work on the Qob with our equipment to find a cure. 0702.27: We beam all but Tronoq up so that they can plow the plague data through the Qob’s medical computer. We agree to beam Tronoq up and get out of here, however, we can’t locate him in the cave system. Meanwhile Settlement Lead Sojef orders the lovestruck Tronoq to be locked up. We send Kwalus with whomever she needs in a shuttle, in hopes we can use it’s scanners at closer range to find the Tronoq. 0702.20: The team enters the clinic of the last living settlement on the planet and opens discussions with the people there. They are aware of a flu going around, but are shocked at the Qob’s report of a deadly disease. However, they agree to combine their own data with the Qob’s findings. 0702.13: Finding that there is not much left to do where they are, the away team packs up and heads for the last settlement on the planet, where a significant number of people still live. They land nearby and begin trying to find out if this settlement has been hit by the plague yet. Riko talks to one of the locals who says that there is a flu going around, but nothing more. 0701.30: The landing party now identifies twentytwo lifesigns. We find the survivors’ location in a cave. They tell their story: They developed a virus for life prolongation, but something went wrong. When that happened, the developers hid in the cave shelter, where the prolongation part of the virus works, but without the bad the bad effects. 0701.23: The landing party scans the caves for safehouses and eventually finds a bunker after deploying some Sargh-technology to fly the shuttle. Meanwhile, Thing attempts to communicate with us, and we eventually translate with a tricorder. 0701.16: The away team surmises that the plague was an experiment gone wrong and that they are immune to it. They prepare to beam Tronoq up. Thing enters the bridge. 0701.09; The team transmits more data as they gather it for analysis. They also find evidence that plague documents were to be destroyed, and also find orders for medial supplies before the plague outbreak three months ago. Meanwhile… Thing awakes from a two-year diagnostic loop and heads to Bch’s quarters 0612.19: The landing party of Kwalus, Tronoq, Sargh, and Riko finds some living plague carriers on tables in a dimly lit room. Survivor Kivrin is willing to tell us about the plague, but she dies violently. We begin to retrieve data records of the plage from computers and files, and send it to the Qob. We beam down some preliminary equipment. 0612.12: The Plague: The Qob intercepts a malfunctioning distress call coming from a Class M system planet with 5 settlements. We send a team to the settlement of the distress signal and find dead, messy bodies.
  2. 0612.19: The landing party finds some living plague carriers on tables in a dimly lit room. Survivor Kivrin is willing to tell us about the plague, but she dies violently. We begin to retrieve data records of the plage from computers and files, and send it to the Qob. We beam down some preliminary equipment 0612.12: The Qob intercepts a malfunctioning distress call coming from a Class M system planet with 5 settlements. We send a team to the settlement of the distress signal and find dead, messy bodies. 0612.05: Truly disturbed at the chaos infecting their pink world, Bch orders Riko to go back from whence he came, since he is the cause of the problem. He gives us the coordinates from when he joined us, and we get our Sarghie to calculate the exact event coordinates. Whoooosh! 0611.28: We reach Buttuglius IV on our Cosmic Makeover Mission. There is an uncharacteristic brawl on the bridge ending with the stunning of Random and Riko. Sargh is confused. TronoQ is making mints. Vanroy and Random make up. Roghie is about to have puppies… 0611.21: Rhoghie-Poodle is pregnant. Vanroy is informed of his non-dad status. Koralev is told of his. Qob heads toward mission planet, Buttuglius IV. 0611.14: Kwalus has her babies – The male looks like Sargh, the female like Koralev. Tronoq remembers that Koralev, not Vanroy is the second father. Bch finishes making Tronoq’s lollipops. Sargh doesn’t comprehend yet that he is a father. 0611.07: Kwalus goes into labor. Tronoq is making lollies. Bch goes to get him while Messner attends to Kwalus as best he can. Riko is on the bridge, searching for new “visions” while being approached by Random, and befriended by Sargh. 0610.31: The crew has some strange visions… 0610.24: Marvel 28 is put in Sargh’s cage while lost Sargh is found and returned to main parts of the ship. We watch Kwalus and Random have a cat fight on the main viewer. Apparently it’s over the paternity of one of Kwalus’ babies. Again Riko gets nowhere with TronoQ. Vanroy alerts sickbay of Kwalus’ head injury. Random propositions and gets nowhere with Riko. 0610.17: Messner gets hit with Marvel 27 on the dance floor. Riko tries to get Tronoq to do a test to check for anything out of phase with this universe… Meanwhile, Tronoq discovers a mistake on Kwalus’ blood test – Vanroy is not the father of a twin, Koralev is. 0610.07: Disco night! Riko gets nowhere with Vanroy in a counseling session. 0610.03: It is the day after Jello. Paternity of Kwalus reveals Vanroy and Sargh to be fathers of her twins. Tonight is… Disco Night!! Yay!
  3. “Oh I just love wedding anniversary parties!” Bch said as she bounced a curly paper streamer in the soft pink nightlight of their quarters. Messner grinned and playfully caught the end of the streamer between his index finger and thumb. Mnstral reached over from the other side of him and hooked the streamer with her pinky. “We’ll have to do something special for ours!” “Yes, indeed, we shall,” said Bch. “We always do, my Bches, we always do...” Messner sighed happily.
  4. 0605.23: With the Exbar a sparking spray of debris, we prioritize repairs: Cloak, deflector, warp drive, etc., down to the shuttle bay doors. Of Trevor’s original eighteen captives, only four have made it back alive. Tronoq gets Daggerhead, Lefty, and Green to sickbay while Sargh finally satisfies (temporarily) his craving for tuna steaks in the messhall. Gates attempts to purge the holodeck program of the tuna modifications. 0605.16: Kwalus docks at the Exbar and waits for Trevor to join her. Trevor fires on the Qob and turns the Exbar so our shuttle is in the line of fire. We lock on our captured crew and beam them out as Trevor’s guards fire on them. Four are hit before dematerialization. Kwalus gets the shuttle back to the Qob, none too gracefully before they klll our shuttlebay doors. We continue to fire on the Exbar until we explode her. 0605.09: We’re able to get scans of the Htiss ship, but no lock with weapons due to their residual ionization from a recent battle. They have no weapons online. Kwalus heads over in a shuttle to continue negotiations for our crew while Koralev and Random beam pattern enhancers onto their ship. Trevor orders our enhancers monitered so he can kill our crewmen as we transport them off. The enhancers work and we locate our Klingon biosigns. Kwalus’ shutte approaches their docking port. Tronoq treats the failing guard and Koralev. 0605.02: Vanroy and Random make it to the bridge and explode Htiss captain Hzz. Kwalus arrives on the battle. Vanroy gets hit, and all Htiss guards get hit and eventually fall. The last dying guard warns the Qob to stop the ship before it passes back through the gas cloud. The ship is stopped, but treansporters are malfunctioning. Tronoq wakens, gets his bearings and brings Bch to medical. The last guard is put into brig cell where he is comm’d by Trevor. Kwalus answers the comm demanding our crew back. Trevor announces his intent to blow up the Qob and kills nine of our eighteen captured crewmen in a power play. Meanwhile, the remaining crew on board our ship begin to wake from their tuna coma. We have thrusters, low shields, weapons, and a shuttle bay door operational. 0604.25: Visious Tuna #1: The H'Tiss continue their raid on the Qob in the midst of a holoprogram involving flying tuna with frickin' laser beams on their heads. A firefight breaks out all over the place: Tuna attacking H'Tiss; H'Tiss attacking Klingons; Klingons attacking tuna.. Tronoq is the first down in the firefight. Somehow the security office is oblivious. Random and Vanroy head to get security help and are able to get weapons online. The rest of the holodeck team heads toward the bridge, but are attacked by more H’Tiss guards: Sargh is stunned and beamed onto the H'Tiss ship, and Bch gets hit with a grenade and is unconscious. Those awake feel some residual effect from the gas cloud – a mild craving for tuna and some sluggishness. 0604.18: Visious Cow #18: Perfect gets her physical and all report to the holodeck for “Vicious Cow 18” exercise program. The ship passes through a patch of micromolecular gas, and all areas of the ship, except for the holodeck where the effects are much less, get an intense craving for tuna, and then fall unconscious. Sargh reprograms Vicious Cow 18 for six- foot flying tunas with laser turrets. Meanwhile, the Htiss light patrol corvette Exbar under command of Captain Trevor Hardly on patrol notices the displacement in the micromolecular gas cloud and follows the disturbance. They continue to spray gas to track us and prepare to board to steal our cloaking device. With holodeck safeties off, Sargh breaks a leg in the fight, and Bch halts the program. Htiss board and start hacking their way to secure key positions throughout the ship, including outside the holodeck. Tronoq prepares to bring Sargh to sickbay. 0604.11: Bch and Sargh get physicals. Vanroy and Kwalus hunt things in the holodeck as part of their new exercise regime. Vut sends a box lizard lunch to Sargh’s quarters. 0604.04: Lizard Sandwich Day: Kwalus orders the doctor to run fat-tests on the ship-bound crew while she draws up a holodeck exercise schedule. Vanroy and Kwalus are examined first and advised on diet and exercise. Lizard 1337 lives through its 8th Lizard Day. 0603.28: The battle continues in sickbay: Noname is killed by Jobs. Qavin confronts Jobs in combat. Jobs dies. The body is airlocked while Gates is bodycasted. Meanwhile we get a message from Messner that he is alive and well on Shakkah, the cowpuck planet. He confirms our coordinates and we continue course. 0603.21: Kwalus harasses the new doctor. Qavin keeps Jobs from killing Gates, though Gates rebreaks his neck in the scuffle, which continues into sickbay. Flying daggers down Kwalus and Jobs. 0603.14: Propulsion systems and plasma conduits are being repaired while we are enroute to Cowpuck. ETA is one month. 0603.07: We link the H’tiss star charts into our computer and translators and finally locate the Cowpuck planet. Sargh is promoted for his leadership and success of the away mission. Although there is much repair work to be done, we take time out to celebrate the victory and promotion in the messhall. 0602.28: The away team exits the shuttle fighting guards hand to hand. Apoklyps is beat over the head by a triple barreled repeater rifle. Robin is crushed under the shuttle. Also dead are Bundtcake and Tuna. Tripless gets the H’tiss computer data, Sargh toasts as many of the guards exiting as he can, and the Qob blows up the htiss ship with a torpedo as soon as our shuttle clears. 0502.21: We determine that the only way to get through the H’tiss ship defenses is to bring a shuttle on board with an armed team. Random and Koralev work on blocking outgoing comms from the H’tiss ship, while Sarge and security prepare to take the shuttle in. The probe is launched, we engage the Htiss while the shuttle slips in behind her. A volley on both sides eventually takes her main shields down long enough for our shuttle to bust in. We also blow out her weapons. 0602.07: We decide to scan the Htiss vessel to evaluate her systems for an attack to steal starcharts to aid in finding the Krap. We (Sargh) begin to devise a method. There is also a proposal for using cockroaches to infiltrate the vessel. 0601.31: The Qob determines her location outside of the wormhole from earlier starcharts. There are still no signs of the Krap. But… our probe picks up an H'tiss vessel. Not wanting the H'tiss getting their hands on our probe, we explode it into an asteroid. As the H'tiss go to investigate the explosion, we use the time to begin the search for Messner and the Krap. 0601.25: Searching for Krap: The QoB is free of the void. However… our partner, the Krap, did not emerge in the same location as us. We begin a search while engineering assesses the ship’s condition, and Sargh works on finding our present location. 0601.17: Commander Turd returns with the Coalition’s decision on the escape plan. They have agreed to allow any volunteers to join. Only one ship, the Krap, volunteers. In an effort to make things work (we don’t fully trust Turd) Messner decides to work on the Krap for the mission. He beams over and all start to coordinate the plan. The coordinated systems are powered up and executed. Whooosh…. 0601.03: We agree to beam Turd over. In discussions on the bridge, Turd and our team devise a basic plan to work together. Differences in our races make the discussion slow, but it is eventually productive. He agrees to talk with the coalition council about the plan and to get his people consolidated onto as few ships as possible for the mechanics of the operation to work.
  5. The buzzing of the bridge chaos droned like a swarm of spring green flies on choH. But like the first warm spring days there, Bch felt at peace here as well. It was more than the comfort of familiarity (for when had change ever intimidated her?): It just… felt right. She sat in the beat-up center bridge chair with an empty raktajino mug in her hand. Her head still spun from the blow of the grenade, or lack of blood, or both. Her ship had no cloak, no warp, a sparking deflector, and various other holes and blowouts. Fourteen warriors would not return to the Qob, and more were sure to die after the doctors got their hands on them. But… the victory was theirs. A slow smile slunk across Bch’s face. The Exbar was a quickly spreading powder that would soon be so much space dust. Her warriors had died with honor. (And if the ones in sickbay did not, neither would the doctors). The Qob was for the most part intact: Anything damaged was in the process of being repaired. The most essential systems would be up soon, and the rest would continue to be fixed enroute. Yes, the Qob was seven million light years from home. Bch couldn’t count the lifetimes it would take to get back if they didn’t find an alternate means. And as they searched, she couldn’t imagine the cunning and honorlessness of the enemies lurking. Her head throbbed, in spite of (or in addition to) her self-medication of caffeine. She closed her eyes for a few seconds to ward off the dizziness. For years she had sought to find peace away from the Qob. She never strove for command or tried to fight her way to it. In all cases it had been laid at her feet and she took that path either for lack of another or to preserve her honor by doing what was needed of her. (It was not the crew’s fault that both HoDs Rojvaj and Kevla disappeared). Twice she’d abandoned her post, once unsuccessfully, and once… well, that had been an irreplaceable part of her life and one she would never second guess. It was also nobody’s fault that she was caught in a temporal instability at the time. Well, perhaps it was Kwalus’ fault for rescuing her and her family… But today… Today Bch felt that her life’s path indeed was meant to return to battle in space. In a week or two they would reach Crapworld (as the crew was calling it), and Bch would willingly give command back to Messner, but for the first time in as long as she’d been serving on the Qob, she wouldn’t be attempting to escape it. She was meant to be here. It was good to be here. Bch wanted to be here.
  6. I'll bring a permanent marker in case people want to write their names on their foreheads.
  7. Only if Gary Sinese is in it!
  8. Turd ran through the emerald green fields with his arms stretched wide flapping in the wind. Oh how long it had been since he’d seen his family pile! The twins were barely six months old when he’d last seen them, and now they’d be seasoned meadowlings of three years, able to frolic in the long grass all by themselves. Turd noticed how long the grass was. It would not be long til hay-time. He was so happy he’d be here this season to help with the work. That is… if his family was still alive and well… There! There in the distance was his little red barn! As he got closer he could see that some roof shingles were missing and that the paint was worn. But it was still standing. Oh please, oh please… He bounded over the last rolling hill and peered intently as he ran. Could that be…? Yes! Yes, there in the yard was a small brown heap… Could it be his family sunning after lunch? He shouted into the wind and was rewarded as the heap began to move and squirm. He could make out four distinct shapes… It was his family! Laughing, he bounded the last steps and threw himself high into the air to land squarely on top of his beloved family. Home at last!
  9. 0601.17: Commander Turd returns with the Coalition’s decision on the escape plan.

  11. Starfleet Starburst for Overall Annual Performance in Logs and Participation (&): Kwalus Daryus Vanroy Merit Award for Quality Log/Plot Series (+): Daryus: Captured Kitty Admiral’s Clusters for Single Annual Quality Log (*): Vanroy: “Slave Camp” Random: “Two Perfect” Special Awards: Messner: Exceptional Alien Species (The cowpucks) Sargh: Brilliant use of Technobabble
  12. 0512.27: Koralev and Sargh and Megahurtz reveal and expound on their plan to utilize the warp drive to create a sort of wormhole back to normal space, while using a Coalition hyperdrive to go through the wormhole. Concern is expressed over the likelihood that something could go wrong if anyone attacked or doublecrossed the Qob during this maneuver. While cloaked, the Qob contacts a high ranking Coalition commander named Turd and browbeats him into listening. 0512.20: Sarge proposes a working theory for getting out of the void from his analysis of the latest data. He proposes bypassing the boundary of the subspace pocket by creating a wormhole through it. To do this and get through it with stability we would need both a warp drive and a hyperdrive. The coalition has the hyperdrive. We would either have to overpower them, or ally with them, since there could be ship weapons fire as we go through the wormhole. 0512.13: We head closer to the Coalition to better tap into their communications, since they have the ability to detect incoming ships while they’re still outside the void. Meanwhile we start to go over the data we collected on the last slave ship to enter. We determine that the entry points for the slave ship and our own ship were the same. Bch appoints Kwalus to Ops. 0512.06: We intercept a communication from the Coalition to the scout ships. It instructs them to intercept a small ship approaching the void. We head for the coordinates (still cloaked) along with three scout ships. We cannot detect the incoming ship until it actually enters the void. However, since we are in place and ready, we are able to get detailed sensor data of its entering. The scout ships quickly commandeer the unsuspecting slave ship. Bch is filling in on the bridge while Messner eats an avacado sandwich, or something. 0511.29: We send a team to the scout ship to get information on their technology and to plant some explosive devices, just in case we find it necessary to detonate them remotely later. Messner gets fed up with Kwalus’ insolence and they fight on the bridge. Bch carries her to medical where she joins the ever charming Gates. Meanwhile, a small escape pod of slaves is approaching the Pit, pursued by the H’tiss. 0511.22: Scout ships fire on us. We use them as cover to get closer to our destination. We blow up the first of the disabled scouts. We’re hailed by one of the others who surrender in return for medical assistance 0511.15: The Qob chases down the two scouts sent by the Coalition to investigate the unresponsive, disabled Retok. They find one scout ship docking with the Retok and the other standing by. The Qob hails them, telling them not to try communicating with the Coalition under threat of death, which of course they do. In the ensuing battle both ships try to escape for the safety of the Coalition, but the Qob disables both, taking some damage. The other two scouts arrive on the scene. 0511.08: The Qob disables the Retok and goes off to where the "Coalition" are purported to be. They consist of 6 moderately armed vessels, two of which are stuck together as a kind of base, though with the alien technology it is difficult to get a complete fix on their tactical capabilities. In addition, there are 4 smaller vessels nearby, two of which are dispatched by the coalition to see what is taking the Retok so long. 0511.01: We disable the Retok, damaging many main systems with a disruptor blast, and go to cloak. We beam Captain Rameus back to the Retok, download their data files on the void, and then head for the Coalition – following the earlier communications signal. Gates manages to live another week. 0510.25: We’re hailed by our ship in tow. Commander Cowpie informs us that we must turn back now before we reach the Coalition Territory. The Coalition are the ones who are in charge of looting new ships. Other ships, like the Retok, work for them. A woman named Riselle is the Coalition contact. Captain Rameus tells us the Coalition has five or six ships, but only four are mobile, the rest are all airlocked connected in a hodgepodge kind of base. Riselle contacts the the Retok, and Cowpie tells us that they have to answer or die. 0510.18: The alien captain, Rameus, reveals that the Htiss throw their problem slaves into the void and their only way of survival is to take resources from the weaker ships. He gives himself up to us and offers us food. Kwalus does not believe him and attempts to intimidate him into telling the truth. 0510.11: Sargh, Daggerhead and Kwalus interrogate the alien ship captain. 0510.04: Attempts to tow in the wreckage with a tractor beam fail. Before we can proceed, a ship appears and we hail it. The Retok orders our surrender or he will fire on us. We torpedo first and hit them, damaging shields. They fire back with light weapons and then ‘special” weapons, a wake of laser probes… which have no effect on us. 0509.27: We eat sandwiches on the bridge. 0509.20: We scan the wreckage in the void, but can determine little with our oddly functioning scanners. We launch a buoy to try to track our movement in this unscannable region. We eat lizard & avocado sandwiches on the bridge. An attempt to beam a piece of the wreckage into the lab fails. 0509.13: The Pit of the H’tiss: With no luck questioning the guard in the brig, he is transferred to medical to perhaps find weaknesses in his physiology that may help us get answers. Suddenly we are overtaken by a large neutrino flow which pulls us into… something. In the commotion Random is injured, and the Htiss guard is killed with a dagger. Other than some floating light wreckage, there is nothing where we are now except neutrino eddies. No stars, planets, nothing…
  13. BCH Klingon Daughter of Vax The House of Bch, QonoS IKC Qob, RawI' SERVICE RECORD: 0503.15: Brings the Hood back to her original location with the repaired temporal device. Is severely injured as the devices malfunctions in an attempt to bring the Qob back to her correct time and location. The Qob is now seven million light years from home. Messner takes the rank of HoD. 0412.21: Departs with the refitted Qob and a joint Klingon/Federation crew to use the 29th C travel device for deep space exploration. The device has been damaged by sabotage by Qunjalth and brings the Qob 175 years into the past, along with the Federation starship Hood. 0408.11: Returns the ship to QonoS with the aid of a time device confiscated from a 29th century time ship. 0406.02: Returns to the Qob after sixteen years in a temporal discontinuity with Messner and sons Val and Jay. 0402.25: Leaves the Qob to live out years on a suitable class M world. 0211.26: Assumes rank of HoD 9810.20: Claims rank of RawI. 9710.28: Turns command of IKC Qob to HoD Kevla and took rank of RawI’Hom’a’. 9710.14: Assumes command of IKC Qob upon disappearance of HoD rojvaj and Commander Aubrey. 9709.02: Claims rank of RawI’Hom. 9708.15: Returns to duty. 9707.15: Arrested for death of crewman Sanin. 9611.12: Maintains rank and position during the restructuring of the Qob command as the Qob and USS Lakota crews merged in the Alpha quadrant, surviving a subspace anomaly landing them 35,000 light years from home. 9611.01: Transfers to IKC Qob as chief science officer at rank of Sogh’a’. 9610.15: Claims rank of Sogh. 9610.01: Claims rank of SoghHom. 9609.11: Assigned to the IKC wo'Degh, HoD rojvaj, as chief science officer. PERSONAL BACKGROUND: 0411: The Bches uncover the treachery of councilman Qunjalth and his plot to destroy their family with Ktort as one of his henchmen. Messner kills the traitor and is awarded his seat on the Klingon high council. He chooses to continue his commission on the Qob if Mnstral will take the seat. She accepts the seat and the responsibility of continuing to manage the House of Bch. 0410: Bch and Messner return to QonoS and clean up the House of Bch, freeing Mnstral to kill her dishonorable husband, Ktort. 0402-0406: Bch spends sixteen years on a planet in a temporal pocket. During this time she takes the Human crewman Messner as a mate and raises two sons, Val and Jay, to the ages of fourteen and thirteen. 9506: Vax is killed in battle and Bch becomes the head of the House of Bch. 9003: Vax’ mate is killed fighting unknown assassins. 7612: Bch’s sister Mnstral is born into the House of Vax. 7501: Bch is born into the honorable House of Vax.
  14. 0503.29: Kwalus appoints Messner as HoD. Engineering works on shields and the propulsion drive. A lizard alien named Chulock contacts us. It suggests we give it something for going out of its way and off schedule to check us out. We offer fruit in exchange for verification of our location. It accepts and verifies our coordinates. However, it can offer no ideas on ways to get home, its race being mere traders. It suggests contacting “The Guild,” an old race of the Galaxy that is said to have great technology. There is no first hand knowledge of the Guild, since the other races of this area rarely come in contact with them. We prepare to deliver the fruit by shuttle. 0503.22: We find ourselves seven million light years from home. The temporal drive is fried. Bch is discovered in the tubes and beamed to sickbay. With the ship engines and sensors badly damaged, we head for nearest planetary system. Bch’s condition is critical. 0503.15: The Hood confirms that her engines are indeed fixed adequately and are ready for the return trip home. Huff comms Bch and coordinates the time, location, speed, and heading for the activation of the Qob’s travel device. Both ships rendezvous and engage warp engines. The device is activated and successfully brings both ships six thousand light years to Hood’s former location, orbiting Zycam. This is however still 100 years in the Qob’s past.. and not where she wants to stay. The Qob engineers reset the device for time travel home and initiate it. In the meantime, Bch has retrieved her sons from the danger of playing in the engineering access tubes. However, she does not exit the tubes before the device is activated, and is caught in a conduit explosion as something malfunctions… 0503.08: The Qob beams the Hood crew to a meeting room and we begin discussions. Although the Qob tries not to reveal any more than necessary, the Hood ascertains that the Klingons are from the Hood’s future. However, this helps them to agree to help the Qob in their efforts to return everyone home. The Qob agrees to leave how the Hood crew is to handle the time continuity issue up to them. The Hood crew is beamed back to their ship and they begin to check the status of the Qob landing party’s engine repairs. 0503.01: The Qob away team cannot hack the Hood computer security codes. The gas wears off and the Hood crew wakes. The Hood crew becomes aware of intruders and secures all decks and systems. As the Qob crew realizes their cover has been compromised, they beam off the ship. Back on the Qob, the command team has had enough failed deception attempts and decides to beam a select few Hood members aboard to simply talk with them. Our goal is to convince them to help, and hopefully agree to have their memories of the entire incident erased.
  15. Jay sat cross-legged on his quarters’ floor despondently poking cockroaches with his dagger. Val was on the slab nearby watching. “It is good that you impale them when they are facing you,” Val said, “It is a much more honorable death.” Jay smiled for a moment, but his face quickly fell back to a frown and he went back to poking his cockroaches. “Jay…?” “It doesn’t matter. Not all death has honor. Why would death be honorable at all? What’s honorable about it…” Val didn’t really have an answer. He wasn’t much older than his brother, and as much as he wanted to cheer him up, he didn’t have any answers. Their mother was near death in the medical bay, and the unspoken reason was that he and Jay had been doing what they were not supposed to. She had saved their lives and jeopardized her own. But she shouldn’t have had to… He was still the older brother, and he had to do something. Val got up and walked over to the cockroach massacre. “Can I help?” he asked as he sat across from Jay. “Sure.” Val picked up another dagger and started stabbing roaches with Jay. “Maybe when we’re done, we should go see her?” he suggested cautiously. “Yeah,” Jay answered. They both focused their attention on the roaches.
