  1. 13 May 2012: The Challenger crew are still at Earth while the ship completes its restocking of supplies and repair at Earth Space Dock. But, their time at Earth is short as the crew are to depart shortly for a new mission. For now though, Captain Ja'Lale has invited the crew to a steakhouse/seafood restaurant in San Francisco by Fisherman's Wharf, to thank them for their services in the past mission. The dinner is a relaxed way for the crew to sit down and bond together in a non-stressful environment. Along the way, they bump into an old acquaintance of the captain and commander's as well. TBS = Few hours, the Challenger will have completed its work and be ready for boarding by next sim. 051312.rtf
  2. Starfleet Headquarters, San Francisco – Captain Ja’Lale took a seat across from Admiral Baldwin’s massive oak desk. “Thanks for coming in, Captain. I’ll try to keep it short; I imagine you want to get started on your shore leave as soon as possible” the Admiral took out a PADD from his drawer and slid it over for Ja’Lale to read. “These are your new orders, Captain. I know you just came in a few days ago, but we have an urgent situation on one of our remote colonies” Ja’Lale took the PADD and read his new orders. “We’re sending you to the planet Hydra IV located in the Hydra system, about fifteen light years away from Earth. This will be an escort mission for you, as you will be accompanying the hospital ship USS Nightingale to the planet. “Apparently, there’s a mysterious outbreak of an unknown disease that’s so far killed millions of civilians. “Local hospitals and medical staff are overwhelmed by the plague and asked us for assistance in treating the local populace and coming up with a potential cure. Captain, your mission is twofold, one, is to assist Nightingale in treating the populace and finding a cure, and two, Hydra IV is still recovering from a decade long civil war. Though the war is over, the area is still considered dangerous due to rouge pirates. Challenger will also be providing protection for Nightingale and the mission. “You will be rendezvousing with the Nightingale at the Antares Colony a few light years away. Time is of the essence here, so we’d like you to leave as soon as repairs to the Challenger are complete in the next few days. Good luck on your mission, Captain. Hate to sound clichéd here, but millions of people are counting on you and the Nightingale on a successful mission” Ja’Lale got up and nodded his thanks. “I’ll get preparations started at once then. I would’ve liked to have had a longer leave for my crew but what can you do” he shrugged. “Thank you, Admiral. We’ll try not to let you down” Baldwin smiled and walked the captain out of his office. “Well, so would I, but the Challenger is the only suitable ship for the mission that’s the closest to Hydra. But, again, good luck. If anyone can do this mission, it’s you guys. “ After bidding their farewells, Ja’Lale stepped into the waiting turbo lift and took it back down to ground level. Walking through the main lobby, Ja’Lale stepped back outside. It was still midday, and San Francisco was rather nice at this time of year. He wished he ‘d had more time to enjoy his stay here, but alas, it wasn’t meant to be. Tapping his comm-badge, he requested to be transported back to the Challenger. Moments later, Ja’Lale reappeared back onto the ship where he would talk to the shift supervisors and quartermaster, to request the repairs and resupply process to be expedited further. Hopefully, though, he’d still have time for some R&R but it seems that a captain’s work is never done.

  16. After leaving the dry cleaners, Koga, Demi and Shibae headed for the Hall’Mark store. Koga walked along with his new-found escorts. Perhaps it would’ve been a more wiser decision to wait a bit longer, he mused to himself. Originally thinking that the worse of his PR nightmares were over, Koga was proven mistaken in the streets of the shopping district. Demi was anxious to get to the card store, and then back to pick up Shibae’s uniform, since they promised it. Dressing was going to take the longest, and it annoyed her that suddenly her Daise wanted her to assist in this Dheno matter. She followed behind them, back in work mode, keeping her eyes on anyone that approached. tA walked with the group anxious to get a gift for Ksa. As they walked she thought of the bonding of tRexan and then began remember the woman. actually missing her. A woman stared at her ISD for some time, glancing around as she switched back and forth. She spotted someone out of the corner of her eye, but could scarcely believe it. She held up her ISD to eye level. ISD...Koga....ISD...Koga...IS... “Koga? Koga! Elements. It is au! Wait up...” she cried as she rushed up to Koga. “Are aus buying a gift? I do not know the people getting married, and was thinking of a card only.” Demi was attempting not only to get the group moving, but to end this Dheno detail as quickly as it started. In the background of the noise of the shops and people, she could barely hear some sort of a disturbance. It wasn’t clear or close enough for her to be alarmed, but she was alert, only half listening tot he group now. “I fear that might have helped set up my recent troubles, not knowing much about the good maenak. But, I was planning to buy her something generic like a blender or a c’Offee machine” Koga replied. In the background, he heard someone shouting at him. He looked around to see who it was, instinctively taking a defensive posture. t’Shia and t’Aehjae also perked up, knowing the hairs on the back of their necks were standing up. A mysterious woman rushed over and was beginning to approach. “Is it really au Koga? I’ve watched au for years. Don’t go!” She finally came to a stop less than a meter from him. She brought up her ISD to his face and showed him the recent news shot of him. “What are au doing out?” “Koga do au know this person?” t’A says looking between him and the women. Demi stepped between them, and took point, both of her arms out, “HALT!” she said quickly, catching the woman by surprise. “Can’t say that I do” he responded. He looked at the woman and the news shot she was holding. “Hm, Page 29. I’m really coming up in the world. Say, I’m sorry, but do I know au from somewhere?” he asked as politely as he could to the woman. Demi continued to hold her arms out, stopping the woman from getting very close, though allowed her to chat with Koga. t’Shia also keep an eye on t’A, just in case her Daise gave different orders for securing the scene or backing off. She backed off as his women stopped between them. “I don’t suppose au would know me. I’ve been to all of your tournaments, read all about au in the news feeds. Too afraid to contact au. I’m Betha t’Uch.” “Well, I appreciate the sentiment. So, what can I do to help au?” he asked, wondering if standing there an accepting a pie in the face was the answer. “Oh,” clearly embarrassed, “I don’t need anything. But au are in danger here. Au have been geo-located. I’m sure someone has gotten into the cams all around.” She looked up at Koga. “What is she speaking of Koga?” t’A asks. “When have au been here?” “They take your picture in the news feed, positively identify au, then any cams will post your location. They use it to follow dissidents.” An older woman stood to the side, listening in on their conversation, but studying holographic greeting cards. “That means, we will have a mob here soon, of dissidents that either want to cause harm, or whatever. We should get you out of here, or get a disguise.” t’Shia stepped to the side, hoping they would make a very quick decision. Koga sighed inwardly. “I was hoping my troubles would have been over by now. I am wondering if this is beyond my little gaffe, or if someone out there really has it in for me? The new guy the media is now picking on isn’t even getting this much flack” he turned over to t’Shia. “I suppose for a Dheno standpoint that would be a wise decision. We’d either best get what we need quickly or find me something to wear to disguise my appearance,” he said. Demi pulled Koga’s arm quickly, and slipped him into a men’s clothing shop. “Quickly, pick some things out to cover yourself.” She stayed outside of the shop, keeping an eye on anyone strange trying to enter. Koga slipped inside the shop, and quickly changed into the new clothing in the changing room. Looking in the mirror, the new set of clothes looked baggy on him, but did a decent job of hiding his appearance. He slipped a long hood over his head to further hide his face and stepped out of the changing room. “This should be adequate. It’d be harder to pick me out in the mob of people” Koga admitted. Outside of the shop, he could see a crowd forming outside. He walked over to t’Aehjae. “Just to be on the safe side, can au scan for any tracking devices I might have, or if my ISD or comm badge has been compromised?” he asked, wondering if that’s what causing him to be geo-tracked. t’A scanned him with her ISD . “It appears au had something on aus other clothing. These are free of any tracking device.” Koga looked at the device in his other clothes. “The woman was right after all. Hany’yyo,” he replied. Demi was getting more and more concerned, as people were starting to gather in a few packs around various stores in the general area. She considered going inside and alerting them, maybe even sending them out the back way for safety. She pulled out her scanner, and ran a covert scan of the packs for weapons, only find a couple but tagged them in her mind to keep an extra careful eye on. The old woman from the card shop held a bag of items close to her. She stood outside of the clothing shop waiting for a ride from a flitter. While she waited she spoke into a small ISD. “Lerak. Au and aur sister spent so much time getting that damned uniform pressed and cleaned au forgot the cards and such. Don’t be surprised if I this holocard says get well soon. I could hardly understand your instructions.” A pause while someone on the other end spoke. “What? I can’t hear au too well. A mob of people have shown up. Why do au do these things to me Lerak?” She yelled into the ISD now, the crowd noise growing slowly louder. Koga could see the crowd getting larger, and louder. “We should probably try to head out the back” he suggested. “I don’t think it’s safe for us to head out the front, unless au and t’Shia can help push people of out our way.” Up above a large metal ship because its descent down to the street below. “My ride is here Lerak. I will speak to au soon, if this crowd does not get me.” She shielded her eyes as the transport crossed over the sun. The crowd saw the ship too, and looked up in tandem. One man brushed up against her. “Get away from me.” The ship continued to drift down. Koga looked at the back of the men’s shop, and left his old clothes in a pile in one of the changing rooms. He headed back out to the shop. “It looks pretty poor out there” he said. “We need to go before it gets real bad.” Demi kept peeking into the store to make sure everyone was ok changing and getting a disguise together for Koga. She catches t’A waving her into the shop, so she closes the shops doors as she comes in, hoping to fool the packs of people gathering around. She pulled a couple shades down to make as if the shop actually was closed, then ran back to where the rest of the group was. “What’s the plan?” “Demi whats it looking like out there?” tA asks looking behind her out the door. “It’s packed with people, and I scanned a couple weapons in the crowd. I think the back door is our only safe way out.” She pointed in the indicated direction, hoping they would quickly head that way. “We must go NOW!” Koga looked at the door. “I certainly won’t argue with au there. We’d best get out of here.” he said and headed towards the back door. “Lets go. We do na get in trouble and na be at Ksa’s bonding. I do na want a repeat of tRexans bonding.” With everyone in agreement, Demi let them all go first, and followed up the rear, grabbing the door and closing them behind everyone, turning locks and shoving dead bolts for some lead time. The flitter finally made it to the surface, but not after the old woman grew more and more upset at the crowd gathering. They appeared not to be going after her, but somewhere around the building. “Finally...” At the back of the building, everyone got out - t’A and t’Shia got the idea at the same time as Koga, while all three ran right towards the old woman’s flitter. She opened her door just as they approached, so they kindly helped her out of her craft, then hopping in. “What the elements! Au let go of me or I’ll get my son Lerak after au. Hey don’t I know au,” she asked, starting at t’A. “IE I am t’Aehjae from the Talon, Leraks ship. We need aus help to get Koga out of here.” “Lerak? Lerak tr’Pexil? He’s our friend, he said Au’d help us keep our crew-mate safe!” t’Shia hopped that ruse helped. “Who are au? And what business of au with my son?” The crowd did what crowds do, crowd around. This time it was the flitter. “What kind of friends does he keep... get in now or I’ll push au all out myself. Is he in trouble again?” She sat down hard onto the less than comfortable seat. “I think that I am the one more in trouble it would seem. But hany’yyo for aus help in getting us to safety.” Koga replied. “I’m not sure why there’s such a big crowd out there but I am sure it hasn’t anything to do with au’s son.” “We will discuss it later we need to move out now.” t’A said with certain urgency. Demi was right in after t’A, securing the door. To the driver, “Let them in and get us out of here. Go to the Lerak tr’Pexil residence.” She turns to the motley crewmates of his. “Dinner is on my son.” Koga glanced out the window. “Looks like I owe him an ale. I’ll just have to complete my shopping online, I guess” “I will have to come back later to get my uniform.” tA says in a low tone.
  17. 29 January 2012: The Challenger's Senior staff have transferred over to the prototype vessel USS Altair to recover the defecting Romulan from the lunar colony just inside Romulan Space. Having jumped to cloak and warp, the Altair entered Romulan space undetected. Engineering got familiar with Altair's advanced cloaking system and was getting the captured Romulan shuttle ready for flight. TBS = 5 hours. 012912.rtf
  18. 6½ hours after last sim With a final sigh, Koga got up to his feet and surveyed the empty storage room. Flicking on some of the extra spot lights on hand, he made a final check of his surroundings. Indeed, nary a microbe of dust or dirt could be found anywhere. Checking the bottoms, the walls and anywhere else he could think of, Koga took a clean pair of white gloves he was given and ran his gloved finger on the floor -- the glove remained immaculately white. It was intensive, exhausting labour, but Koga had seen his servants do it many times and took their lead, taking care to make circular cleaning motions with his toothbrush to effectively clean the room. Yes, it did take longer than it would if he had swept back and forth, but the circular motions was more efficient and effective at removing dust. If anything, when Koga wasn't being a stupid idiot, he was efficient and hard-working. The work though tedious and somewhat exhausting was at least made bearable by being in good shape and taking periodic breaks to stretch -- no doubt maenak t'Ksa would not be too pleased with him, if she had to treat him for straining his back muscles whilst performing this task. Moving onto the second job on his list, Koga began to starch the piles of cadets' graduation capes while also skimming through the ISD with cadets' questions. Luckily for him, the majority of the questions were relatively easy, consisting mostly of career advice, fighting tips for upcoming Dheno training or even questions about Koga's past experiences in the Keve'shrek ring. Of course, some of the questions pertained to his recent PR troubles, but he answered those questions too to the best of his abilities and candidly as he could. Looking at the instructions on the bag of starch, Koga added just the right amount of the starch in ratio to the amount of capes in a bucket of water and began starching the capes. Time past, and day quickly turned to night but finally, the last of the capes were starched and the last of the cadets' questions were answered. Storing the capes to where he was ordered to place them, he took a final look around and cleaned up the last bit of mess remaining, leaving the storage room spotless and dust-free. Heading out of the room, he walked the corridor to where the guard on duty was. "I've finished my outlined tasks to the best of my abilities. I am hopeful it passes muster" he said, handing his cleaning supplies and ISD back to the guard. The guard at the desk followed Koga back to the room and took a look around. "Alright, looks good to me. I'll tell my boss that you've finished your jobs. He stepped out an hour ago, but should be back soon. Did au inform your XO of your completion?" asked the guard. "Not yet" replied Koga, shaking his head. "I was just about to" The guard grunted acknowledgement and flicked off the lights before closing the door and heading back to his office. Koga followed the guard back to his desk. "Better do that right away before au forget. Menkha job, and for the record, au don't seem to me like the idiot the media currently portrays au as. It's been a slow couple of days in the news au know" . The guard sat at his desk. "Anyway, I don't have anything else for au to do. Au are free to go home and rest. Please sign out at the bottom of this line" the guard said, sliding over an ISD with a guest log. Signing the log and providing a thumb print, Koga smiled and nodded. "Hany'yyo. Ie, indeed, there's a big couple of days coming up. I best get some rest and clean myself up. Good-bye then" he said, waving at the nodding guard. Walking out of the retor college, Koga walked back to his flitter and strapped himself in and composed a message to t'Ksa informing the maenak of his completion of the tasks she had given him 13 hours earlier. Hitting send, the exhausted Rihan took off and headed back to his lakeside cabin for some much needed rest from his rather busy day, still not sure if he, or his counterparts in re-training faired worse in terms of Command staff reprimands.
  19. Real Science!

And our next ambitious space plans is to send up a Barbie doll! It's pretty neat they did this. It was featured in our local news here and in our local papers. It's similar to a British program I saw on the BBC where they sent up a balloon containing cremated remains of pets (though ambitious Brits!) They got the balloons up into the stratosphere as well.
  20. 22 January 2012: The USS Challenger has arrived at Starbase 33, near the Romulan Neutral Zone to investigate rumours of increased Romulan activity deep in Romulan space. Once docked at the starbase, the crew was ordered into a Conference Room and appraised on recent developments; a high-ranking Romulan officer with knowledge of an impending attack on Federation bases or colonies seeks to inform the Federation and tell them of the attack plans in exchange for political asylum on Earth. The Romulan, Khre'Riov tr'Kaye will be located in a small outpost just inside Romulan space. The Challenger crew are to transfer over to the experimental USS Altair to recover tr'Kaye and bring him back to Federation space. The Altair is a highly classified prototype ship, and is the first Starfleet vessel equipped with a fully-functioning state of the art cloaking device*, that they will use to enter Romulan space undetected and effect the recovery mission. TBS = 6 hours. Challenger crew and all their supplies will have been transferred to Altair, ready to depart for the colony by the start of next sim. *FYI: Challenger is currently set in the late 23rd century, approximately 13 years before the Battle of Tomed and subsequent signing of the Treaty of Algeron of 2311. 012212.rtf
  21. PART III – “Equivalent Exchange” Set a few days after the events of the “Watch your back” log. ROMULUS – “If I were au, I would watch my back” it was the last thing he ever heard from Khre’Riov tr’Malov. If anything, tr’Malov was a man of his word, and a powerful, well connected man at that. In the days that followed, he narrowly avoided being killed twice, once when his flitter exploded just as he was about to get in. It was only his quick reflexes that saved him, when he jumped into the adjacent ditch by his apartment complex. The second attempt on his life took place as he left his office two days ago. A sniper perched overhead took a shot at him, grazing his rib and missing his heart by mere inches. After his release from the hospital, tr’Kaye took to hiding, looking to evade his would be assassins. Obviously, tr’Malov or someone else in Galae Command had it in for him after his passionate outburst against the impending attack on Federation star bases or colonies near the Neutral Zone. Fearing for his life, Khre’Riov tr’Kaye went into hiding, staying from place to place, never spending more than a day at the same place. But that wasn’t what bothered him the most. Unlike most of peers, tr’Kaye had a liberal attitude towards the Federation, and was a staunch advocate for peace and dialogue between the two powers. The vote to carry on the attack went through unopposed and was quickly approved by the Preator. The imminent death of countless innocent people, both Federation and Romulans, weighed heavily in his mind. Travelling by night, tr’Kaye in a stolen flitter flew as far away from the capital as he could, heading into the remote mountainous region to the north. In his youth, tr’Kaye hiked and climbed virtually every hill and mountain in the area. He knew this area like the back of his hand. Piloting fast, but cautious enough to avoid suspicion, tr’Kaye touched down in a hilly region in the remote mountains, landing in a small lake. Quickly climbing out, as the flitter began to sink, tr’Kaye swam to the surface looking back to see the tip of his flitter sink to the bottom. Lit only by the full moon overhead, tr’Kaye made the hike to an abandoned cabin atop one of the hills. Looking around him, tr’Kaye opened the door and let himself in. The cabin was sparse, but liveable. Perfect for hiding out for a few days in an emergency situation like this. After making a small meal in the kitchen, tr’Kaye walked over to the communications terminal located in the living room. He opened it up, using a little-used frequency, setting the transmitter receiver to its highest setting. He instinctively looked around, and spoke into the mic, knowing just how risky his next actions would be. STARFLEET HEADQUARTERS – SAN FRANCISCO A few days ago – 0200 ZULU “Sir!” the young ensign at the comm terminal exclaimed. “I don’t think you’re going to believe this, but you have to listen to this.” The Commander of the watch walked over to the young ensign at comm. “What is it, Ensign?” The young ensign looked up at the commander. “We just received a message from Outpost 180 on the Neutral Zone, sir. They say that they have received a message from someone in Romulus!” The commander looked at the recorded message and whistled. “You’re right, I can’t believe this. But we can’t wait on this. Get Admiral Baldwin here ASAP. I don’t care if you have to wake him up at home!” Élysée Palace – Paris, France Two days ago “…So that’s the story, gentlemen” Admiral Baldwin said. “If we’re going to act on this, we’d better do so immediately. And stalling risks this man’s life” he looked around at the table. The conference room was filled with high-ranking brass from Starfleet as well as the President and his Cabinet members. The President sat in thought, stroking his long white beard. “Unbelievable, if this is indeed true Admiral. Please, go ahead and play the message you’ve received” Admiral Baldwin pressed a button. The lights went off and a holo-screen projected to life, and soon was filled with the image of an unfamiliar Romulan male. The image was grainy and audio was weak, but all in the room was able to hear what this man had to say. “This message for anyone at the United Federation of Planets who will hear my plea. My name is Khre’Riov Dorval tr’Kaye of the Romulan Galae.” “I am contacting you today to inform you of a massive Romulan counter-attack taking place in response to the destruction of a Romulan outpost several weeks ago. The attack is underway, and Romulan vessels have already departed Romulus. You do not have much time” The Romulan looked around nervously. “I am putting my life in great danger even by contacting you about this, but I feel that the risk is worth the danger. I strongly believe in harbouring peace and dialogue between our two races. This planned attack is senseless, and will only result in the unnecessary loss of innocent lives on both our sides. “ “Therefore, I am offering to divulge all pertinent information in regards to the attack and any other information you wish about the Romulan Galae. I can’t do it over this line, as you know. Too much risk.” Tr’Kaye looked at the viewer, his expression serious. “I will tell you anything you want to know, in exchange for political asylum on Earth. There is nothing for me left on Romulus. My life is in danger here. Twice already, there have been attempts on my life. But, I will not let that overcome me. Too many lives are at risk.” “In a few days, I will charter a flight to the colony closest to the Neutral Zone, a few light years inside Romulan space. It’s risky, I know, but that’s closest I can get to Federation space. It will be up to you to infiltrate Romulan space, to pick me up and take me back to Federation space. Please, thousands, if not millions of lives are at risk. I do not wish for this foolish attack set off another Earth-Romulan war” “If you do not want the same, then please come get me. I will send the precise location of the colony as well to aid you in your travels. Time is of the essence here, and I hope that you receive this message and decide to act upon it. The peace of our two worlds depends on it” The screen then went blank, and was replaced by a Federation logo. The men in the room looked at each other. “I am led to believe that this man is telling the truth” responded Captain Spock. “If the Romulans are planning such an attack, then we’ll need to act promptly” “But how would we be able to rescue him? None of our ships will be able to travel that far inside Romulan space. We’ll risk setting off another war just by being in Romulan space. I don’t think tr’Kaye really thought this through” responded one cabinet member. “Actually” Baldwin chimed. “We just might have a ship that can perform such a rescue” another Admiral, Admiral Schuster looked at Baldwin. “You mean the Altair? But she doesn’t have the appropriate personnel to carry out the rescue.” “No, but we can always borrow some from another ship. The nearest star base to that colony is Starbase 33. Challenger is on her way there to investigate the activity in the Neutral Zone” Baldwin replied. “Very good then” the President responded. “I’m sure they’re both up to the task at hand” TO BE CONTINUED…
  22. PART II – “Altair” Somewhere in the Alpha Quadrant The sleek starship sped along effortlessly in a remote, uncharted region. Though small in size – roughly the size of an Oberth class Science ship, the unconventional delta-shaped ship was to be Starfleet’s first foray into the world of cloak technology. Top secret and known only to a handful of people, the USS Altair (NX-3000) was in its final stages of space trials. Inside the compact but State-of-the-art Bridge, the Altair’s captain Penelope Creighton-Ward sat in the centre command chair sipping a glass of Earl Grey tea. “I’m pleased to see that testing have been going quite well lately,” she said in her upper class British accent. “Right then, one last test for today. Mr. Tracy, please bring us to a stop and initiate the cloaking device” ordered the Captain. With a few presses of a button, the Altair cruised to a quiet stop. Seconds later, the Altair disappeared. “Mr. Tracy, take us around the system, for a game of hide and seek. Let’s see if the California can find us” Behind an asteroid, the Miranda class USS California was waiting. “We’ve lost Altair, Captain,” replied the tactical officer. “Alright then, Mr. Xiang. Let’s see if we can’t find them. Scanners on full, search for their energy trail or warp signatures,” ordered the captain. “Yes sir” replied Xiang, and the hunt was on. *** A few hours past, and the game of cat and mouse went on. “Contact the Altair. We can’t find them anywhere. Looks like that new cloaking device of theirs really works quite well” the captain said. “As well it should, Captain,” the XO said. “Starfleet put a lot of resources in developing it. I gotta say, it’ll make our jobs so much easier if cloaking devices were standard on all our ships” “Sure would” smiled the Captain. “It’d be nice to even up the playing field a bit” the pair watched on as California’s comm officer hailed the Altair. “California to Altair. We’re giving up search of your vessel.” Moments later, the Altair rematerializes by a small moon. “Well, Captain tests have all worked out, Starfleet command should be pretty pleased” Creighton-Ward nodded on the view screen. “Indeed they have good reason to. We’ve still many tests remaining, but this is a very promising start. Thanks for your help, Captain. That should just about do it for today” Before anyone could respond however, an urgent message from Starfleet popped in for the Altair. A grey haired admiral appeared on screen to Creighton-Ward. “Captain” he said. “Change of plans. I know the Altair hasn’t completed initial testing, but we’ve just received urgent news coming from Romulus. Please proceed immediately to Starbase 33 outside the Neutral Zone. You will receive more details upon your arrival” “Yes sir” responded Creighton-Ward. She looked to the captain of the California who was still on hold on the other line. “Well, Captain it looks like we’re needed elsewhere. Thank you ever so much for your assistance.” She then turned her attention to the young lady at helm. “Lieutenant Sanders, set a course for Starbase 33, maximum warp.” The Altair shifted position and gracefully jumped to warp. “Well, tad sooner than expected but c’est la vie” muttered the Captain to herself as the ship headed to its ultimate destination.
  23. Sucks to be Koga doesn't it? :P Oh wait...
  24. 15 January 2012: After dropping the survivors of the Perseverance off at Starbase 103, the Challenger crew enjoys a brief respite while the ship is restocked. Captain Ja'Lale is escorted to one of the station's conference rooms for a top secret briefing with other captains and Starfleet HQ brass. 10-15 Romulan ships were monitored to be congregating in a central location deep in Romulan space. Starfleet has reason to believe that the Romulan Empire may be planning a counter attack against Federation bases or colonies near the Neutral Zone. The area has been put on high alert, and the Challenger has been ordered back to Starbase 33 to investigate. TBS - 24 hours. Challenger will have departed SB 103 and will be soon arriving back at SB 33 by the start of next sim. 011512.rtf
  25. ROMULUS - "The offensive plan has been approved by the Preator and will begin immediately" replied Daise'Khre'Riov Koga S'Bien. "Khre'Riov tr'Malov, au are to command the attack fleet. We have assembled some of the best commanders in the Fleet to accompany au. Good fortunes, Khre'Riov and may the Elements be with au" tr'Malov bowed in respect to his superior officer. "Ie, we will form up and leave within the day. We will not fail" he replied. S'Bien nodded. "For your sake, I hope you're right. You are dismissed" tr'Malov nodded again and left Koga's office. Leaving the office, tr'Malov walked down the stairs and took out his communicator. "tr'Malov to Invincible. Beam me up" Almost immediately, tr'Malov materialized in the transporter pad of his ship, the RES Invincible and headed up to the bridge. His first officer stood up and vacated the centre seat. "Rekkhai, our fleet is mobilizing and is converging to the meeting point. We've heard back from the other commanders, and all ships will have arrived in two hours." tr'Malov took his place in the command seat. "Menkha. Prepare for departure, best speed". tr'Malov smiled evilly. "Cloaking device on, it's time to show these Lloahn'nna verruhls what we're made of" To be continued...
