Sorry I missed last week's log. Was pretty busy last week. 12 & 19 July, 2009: Challenger receives a faint distress call from a Federation ship under attack near Troyian space. Assuming it's the Cepheus, they set out to assist as fast as the engines can take them. As a gesture of good will, the Elasian Lord Regent has offered their assistance should they need it. On the way, the Challenger picked up another distress call from a Klingon vessel that hit a space mine also presumably answering the Cepheus' distress call. After assisting the Klingon ship, Challenger resumes its course to Troyian space... TBS (19th July): 6 hours. 071209.doc 071909.doc

05 July, 2009: Challenger enters Elasian space, expecting to be greeted by an escort of Elasian vessels prior to their scheduled meet with Lord Regent Aon XIV. Surprisingly, there is no ships to greet them and they begin to wonder what's going on. Or if they've arrived at the right time, when suddenly they are met by the Valerin. The Lord Regent, foregoing protocol beams directly on to the Challenger's bridge and gives the crew more surprising news. TBS = ? 070509.doc

28 June, 2009: Challenger & Cepheus delve deeper into space, while Challenger receives some new and returning personnel who are brought up to date with the situation. It is decided that the Cepheus try to re-established contact with the Troyans whilst the Challenger try to contact the Elasians. While travelling to Elasian space, Challenger receives a text message from an Elasian Regent. Challenger diverts course and heads to meet up with him. TBS = 36 hours 062809.doc

USS Challenger is also running as usual on the 5th of July. Attendance will be optional. If we have enough people in the sim, we'll run the plot as usual. Happy Canada Day or Independence Day!

21 June, 2009: The USS Challenger and the USS Cepheus are orbiting the Prosperity System to look for an eccentric Federation trader named Cyrano Jones. Captain Zareh and his CSEC beam down from the Cepheus and are joined by Captain Seiben, Major Kimiko and Dr. Harris and Lt. Teros from the Challenger in an effort to locate Mr. Jones and bring him to the Challenger for his protection against the Troyans, Elasians and Klingons; who incidentally are two days away from Prosperity. Can the Away Team convince Mr. Jones to come with them? TBS = 24 hours 062109.doc

14 June, 2009: The Challenger and the Cepheus continue on course to the Prosperity System, monitoring a Federation trader in the area where the Elasians and Troyans continue their conflict. Things turn for the worse when ships from the two rivals battle each other with the two Federation ships in the middle. The Troyans issue a distress call, but wanting to remain neutral neither ships respond. It is only when the Elasian and Troyan weapon fire gets too close to their shields when they warn thee two to respect Federation neutrality and keep their distance. As a safety precaution, both ships head over to Prosperity and prepare teams to meet with the trader(s) there. TBS = 30 minutes 061409.doc

7 June, 2009: Now out of Elasian space, the Challenger crew exchange information with the crew of the Cepheus. Both captains decide to head into the nearby nebula to get a closer look at the border where the two races are converging. TBS = 1-2 days depending on logs. 060809.doc

31 May, 2009: Dinner aboard the Valerin turns bad as Ambassador Praan suddenly falls ill, requiring medical attention and abruptly ending dinner festivities. To make matters worse, the Elasians' attention are turned towards the border with Troyian space, sending a fleet of vessels to the vicinity of that location. With tensions between the two races rising, Challenger is escorted out of Elasian space and peace talks are postponed indefinitely without citing a valid reason. Confused by the new development, Challenger contacts the USS Cepheus, commanded by Captain Zareh who were in Troyan space working with them. Unfortunately, the crew of the Cepheus are in the same boat as the Challenger and are just as in the dark on recent events as they are. Looking for answers, the two captains decide to enter the Okovan (?) nebula which is close to the border of Elasian and Troyan space to see if they can find out what's happening. Challenger has reported the situation to Starfleet and are awaiting word from the as well. TBS = 24 hours. 053109.doc

24 May, 2009: Dinner aboard the Elasian ship begin. Good times were had by most, but with the notable absence of Lord Regent Aon for quite some time. Later, Aon and some of the crew discuss the finer things of Elasian cuisine and culture. TBS = 0-15 minutes 090524.doc

17 May, 2009: An away team consisting of Captain Seiben, the department heads, and Lts. Lessard and Teros beam aboard the Elasian flagship for a large welcoming dinner hosted by the Elasians in an effort to foster relations between them and the Federation. They are lead to a large table with a wide assortment of decadent foodstuffs and meet exchange plesantries with some of the upper-crust of the Elasian government. 10 May, 2009: Still going through entry protocols in Elasian space, the crew of the Challenger prepare to meet their hosts. Meanwhile, a shuttle containing new and returning crewmembers arrives in dramatic fashion and buzzes the bridge Top Gun style, leaving many on the bridge irate. Pilot and new Helmsman Ensign M'Guire is "welcomed" on the Challenger in typical Marine fashion while Lt. Poldara and her husband reminisce on old times. M'Guire gets a talking to by Commander Ba'alyo while Captain Seiben and Ambassador Praal meets with their hosts, and arranges a dinner on Challenger. TBS = 2 hours 051009.doc

03 May, 2009 We arrive at Elasian space only to be confronted by four escort vessels at the border, and to announce a last minute change of venue in regards to where the meeting will take place between the Elasian government and the Ambassador. All of this has taken the crew and ambassador off guard and are left speculating on what happened on the surface. Regardless, Challenger is escorted into Elasian space with the four escort ships flanking the Challenger as they lead the ship to a barren but heavily fortified military base on the edge of Elasian space. Challenger is not allowed to enter Elasian home space. TBS= 2 hours. 050309.doc

26 April, 2009 We have left port and are under way to Elaysia with Vulcan Ambassador Praal in tow. At warp 7, the ETA is 2 days. Much discussion was had on the mission, and while most of our crew recovered from their drinking binge on the station, Lt. JG Teros suffered the ill effects of his massive hangover. Security and Medical thought it best for him to recover in the brig. TBS = 1 or 2 days, I think. 042609.doc
