  12. It is also Canadian Thanksgiving Monday too. Don't forget about your neighbours up North! :P But, I still think I should be there for Challenger on Sunday. Attendance will not be counted this week. Happy Thanksgiving and Columbus Day for you Yanks!
  13. Ooh, that's nice. I love the detail on it. I'd be tempted to get that if only we actually bothered to put up a Christmas tree every year (too lazy). :P
  14. Yeah. Sadly, I hear that's a common problem for most VAG products. I'm trying to avoid them as well in my own car shopping. I'd love to find an E46 (1998-2006) BMW 3 series for ~ $10,000 (1998-2003).
  15. Traitor! :) Nah.. just kidding. As much I hate to say it as a Leafs fan, the Habs are looking good this year. I'd *love* to see the Cup back in Canada.. getting to the point where I don't mind if it goes to them. (FYI: The Canadeins/Maple Leafs rivalry is just as intense and historical as the Yankees/Red Sox rivalry)
  16. 06 September, 2009: Most of the Challenger's crew has descended on the tropical resort planet Pacifica for shore leave. The crew are left to their on devices. Meanwhile, not on Challenger, H.G. meanders about on the relatively empty Challenger and Savros dukes it out with another dude on Vulcan. TBS = 3 days 090609.doc
  17. Challenger will continue with our sim as scheduled, but we'll see how many people show up. Depending on how many people show, we'll continue our shore leave plot or cancel if turn out is small.
  18. 30 August, 2009: The USS Challenger arrives at the tropical resort planet Pacifica for three weeks of shore leave. The crew begins transporting down to the planet and go their seperate way to enjoy their time off in their own ways. TBS = a few hours 083009.txt
  19. 23 August, 2009: The current plot is wrapped up as the Elasians and Troyians are under attack by a series of mines and weapons attack while leaving the Challenger unscathed. This leads both parties to believe it was a Federation trap of some sort when a sudden intervention from some Klingon friends shed some light on the true perpetrators of the disruptions in the peace process. Afterwards, the Challenger sets course to Pacifica, for some well deserved R&R. TBS = 3 weeks 082309.doc
  20. "That's a Wrap" SD 10908.25 Captain Seiben let out a sigh of relief as he emerged from his Ready Room after talking with Ambassador Praan and representatives from the Troyians and Elasians. From what he got from the conversation, the future is looking bright for them and harbouring better relations between the two races. Ambassador Praan, who seems to be feeling better by the day after being poisoned during the Elasian dinner will ensure that negotiations between the two will go smoothly. But as he looked at the debris of that Romulan ship, he couldn't help but thank the Klingons that suddenly appeared. It was them that helped expose the Romulans and their plans to upset the negotiation talks. As much as he didn't want to admit it, he felt that he owed them one and hoped to return the favour one day, but hopefully not anytime soon he mused. Challenger would remain and collect debris and offer any assistance to the Troyians and Elasians, both of whom sustained major casualties in the attacks. With the perpetrator of the attacks exposed, Federation relations between the Troyians and Elasians look promising as well. It was quite the report that he had sent to Starfleet. But, with their work done Challenger would soon be off. As a reward for their hard work and diligence, they would be enjoying a long overdue period of extended shoreleave. Lord knows they deserve it after all they've been through, Seiben thought as he slouched in his chair. A few weeks in the sun at Pacifica, a tropical resort planet. Lots of things to do, without the crowds and hustle and bustle one would find on Risa. He was already planning his own itinerary. The shops, beaches and museums seemed to pique his interests the most. His train of thought was interrupted when the relief navigational officer informed him they were ready to go and that Ambassador Praan had left the ship. "Good." Seiben said in response before turning to the helm. "Plot a course to Pacifica, at warp 7. And be sure to inform the crew to submit their shoreleave requests to Commander Baalyo" he stated, turning to the communications officer. Seiben then turned his view to the main viewer as the big Excelsior class ship turned sharply to Federation space, before dissapearing in a flash of a bright blue light.

  23. 09 August, 2009: Challenger continues to tow the Cepheus though Elasian space and starts to find some startling revelations of possible Romulan activity in the region and begin to investigate.. TBS - a few hours. 080909.doc
  24. Yup. That's right, we had a plot recently where we used Mister Scott as a special guest character. He appeared in the live game for a couple of sims prior to his boarding the Jenolan. He basically toured the ship and had dinner with us before catching his flight on the Jenolan. We also worked in the impact of his "loss" into the sim and how it impacted some of our players. But, generally we tend to use canon characters sparingly and only when necessary (or to boost morale and stuff). I did hear about another sim where you could play as canon characters on the Enterprise-D, but it looked terrible and not somewhere I'd want to play in. I think it's much more fun to play as your own original characters and not have to be limited to the particular traits of that character ::shrugs:: but that's just me. :P Goodluck and welcome to the boards though.
  25. 02 August, 2009: A tough battle between the Cepheus and Challenger vs. the Troyians leaves both ships damaged. Cepheus inn particular received rather intensive damage and requires extensive repairs. With the battle over and the Troyians gone, crews from both ships try to quickly repair their wounds and get out of Troyian space before they decide to return. The minimally damaged Challenger begins to tow the stricken Cepheus back to the relative safety of Elasian space where hopefully the Elasians can assist them with further repairs. At a slow and steady warp 3, they make a break for the border... TBS = 2 hours 080209.doc
