Manticore is being tasked with investigating disturbing reports
of a large weapon being built in the Mizar sector. Callista and
EJ have been sent as undercover operatives to gather intel.
They arrive at an asteroid base in an unknown location where a
stolen Miranda class starship is being held. They also met their
new boss, a Cardassian named Edvenet. Immediately they're put to
work building what they believe to be a bomb.

Four days have passed since Manticore left the prison colony on
Gellum. The ship has been docked at Starbase ::redacted::.
Dr Orrak has just completed her copy cat machine in hopes
of reversing the treatment done on Kansas. With Erich's help using
his telepathic abilities Gila completes the procedure. But did it
work? Meanwhile McFly has submitted his report about his
engagement on Gellum including all evidence gathered by the crew.
While he awaits judgement by StarFleet Command the crew takes a
small respite on board the station.

Manticore was sent to a penal colony for a standard cargo
exchange. A prisoner beamed aboard with the cargo and was found
to be mentally unstable. Evidence was provided through a mind
meld that something may be amiss at the prison and Dr Orrak
decided to keep him aboard. Captain McFly lead an away team to
the prison where its administrator, Dr Adams, showed them a
machine he invented that is able to remove violent thoughts and
tendencies from a person. During the mission Kansas snuck away
for her own investigation. She was caught and ordered to the
machine by Adams. Upon returning she was no longer herself and
Dr Orrak has spent much time learning how to fix her mind.
Meanwhile Faldek has gained testimony from two orderlies that
incriminates Adams in using the machine on Kansas. Annika and
Bren have, themselves, retrieved evidence from the prison's
computer network that proves a much larger conspiracy than first
known. When attempting to bring this evidence to Admiral Jaffee,
the crew learned Earth had lost power and that something big may
be happening there. McFly was able to reach an Admiral who didn't
believe what they found was credible. Instead they've been ordered
back to Earth for planetary defense. McFly decided to disobey that
order, however, after learning that a device from Adam's machine
was the only way Dr Orrak would be able to fix Kansas. He
transported to the planet solo but as he did a ship dropped out
of warp. A battle ensued, in the prison and in orbit. McFly was
captured by Adams and placed in his chair. In space, Manticore
went toe to toe with an unnamed vessel. Eventually, though, Kansas
was able to put her classified background to work and distract
the Captain long enough for Faldek to initiate the previously
instituted emp knocking out both the ship and the prison's power
grid thus saving McFly from the same fate as a scrambled egg.

  13. Welcome to STSF. I run the Manticore sim on Mondays 10 pm ET. I know the history of my ship came from the AOL sims. The old Captain of this ship, Atragon 9, started it on there before starting STSF. Here's an invite link to the Discord server. Hope you can join us.

Currently there's two sims on Sunday nights and one on Mondays and an additional one on Fridays that still plays on this websites chat room. Feel free to look in on any one of them.

Manticore is sent to the penal colony on Gellum to make a
cargo exchange. A stowaway came aboard with the cargo who
didn't seem to be in the right frame of mind. Security captured
him and brought him to sickbay where new Ensign Harnett
performed a mind meld that gave Dr Orrak cause for concern and
to retain the prisoner. The administrator, Dr Adams, was not
accepting of this but soon a compromise was made and a team was
invited to inspect the prison in a gesture of trust. Adams showed
them his machine created to remove violent thoughts and
inclinations out of the minds of hardened criminals and he tried
to make the team believe he had created a utopia for them to live
in peace. However, after closer inspection, Callista and Gila may
have uncovered the dangers of such a device. Kansas, doing covert
reconnaissance, went missing and is now acting very suspicious.
Bren and Annika hacked into the facility's network and copied a
large portion of their records before being shut out. They found
the stowaway's med record along with records belonging to a
number of missing people, some considered to be high value.
Faldek and Harnett arrested two orderlies, Frick & Frack and
using a mind meld, they gained admission of Adam's role in Kansas
current condition. McFly was able to talk to the stowaway and
learned a name, Leyton, who Bren discovered is a StarFleet
Command Flag officer. When attempting to contact Jaffee for
orders they discovered something troubling, Earth has gone dark.
