Aginst "official" orders the crew has decided to continue the investigation. They were diverted to Starbase 381 and found the USS Honshu under foreign control. After a brief battle the Honshu was disabled and the engineering team able to regain control of the ship then persued the enemy through a cloaked minedfield and ended up at an asteroid base guarded by USS Ethan Carter, one of the two escort ships from Starbase 392. Thanks to a spy among the lower ranks, Manticore once again came under control of the enemy. Thanks to Chief Jaenke's prevention methods the ship wasn't long under enemy control. A battle ensued both inside and outside the ship with Manticore ultimately the winner thanks to a little help from Section 31. The two clandestine organizations banded together for a final assault on the asteroid base in an effort to obtain any information about this new terrorist threat. They were one step ahead, though, as the base was rigged to blow. The away team escaped just before the station was obliterated.
