  1. DS9 Hands down. I would have to say my favorite was DS9, a lot of action and there was not just one thing that they were focusing on the whole series. A really great overarching storyline, with the war on the Dominon. Great character interaction and overall great characters. The final stages of the Dominon war with the amazing battles featuring 20+ ships on the screen going at each other 5 different races blowing up all over the place. Untouchable. TNG wasn't so bad but there was no point to the show, something new and weird happening every episode that had nothing to do with the previous. Plus there was very little action. But that’s just my opinion. STV wasn't so bad, a lot of action, they had a goal, and we saw the Borg a lot. Janeway pissed me off a lot but still a good series. The first star-trek was really really good for its time, it feels a bit out dated and watching it now some of the stuff is just plain goofy. How many times can you be taken prisoner and have to be in a battle to the death? The new enterprise wasn't so bad. But they went back on the technology a little much for my taste. And drifted from original star trek feel. Overall Deep Space 9 rules all.
  2. Have you guys used google earth? its really good, you can click search for the pyraimds and it will fly you over the earth and take you right to them. Free download.
  3. Yep, if they are smart, they will do a price cut when halo 3 comes out.
  4. Oh come on what am i chop liver? I bet it was because I recommended you not to buy the game? B) I played KOTOR I and loved it you should get it. I won't spoil it but the ending is great! I had to read tutorails to help through some of the games really hard puzzels. If you do try not to scroll all the way down it might spoil the ending. Other xbox games you might like... Top SPin, a very great and addicting tennis game. Call of Duty 1 & BigRedone- really great WWII games. Jade Empire- From the guys behind KOTOR so you know its good. Fuzion Frenzy- Cheap party game, kind of like Mario Party FAble- Many hardcore RPg gamers disliked it, but i thought it was a fun time.
  5. ASEC Duty Log Lt. Jg. Murdok Helios The last 24 hours on MorningStar where extremely hectic to say the least. The ship was brought to a stand still because of some strange sickness that speared through the ship infecting a large number of the crew. I was one of the lucky ones, although I showed some of the begin symptoms I was not taken out fully by the strange virus. I and some other crewmates had to take control. With orders from Lt. Cmdr. Graham, we had a general shutdown of the ship. All personal was ordered to there barracks and quarters. As the reaming security officers combed the ship looking for anyone that could not travel to sickbay under there own strength. I scrambled to get both the Holodeck on deck five and the shuttle bay open up for sick personal. As the crew for the virus was found I was very happy to know that all of my crew mates were ok.
  6. *****Spoiler alert***** + ++ +++ ++++ +++++ ++++ +++ ++ + The story line really made me mad. From the commercials you think you will be fighting to have the earth. Your last ditch chance to save the human race from the evil covenant. But 4 mission into it you get pulled away to another halo ring what was that all bout. Half the game you play as an elite, and those missions weren't as fun as the master chief ones. And the graphics, the first cut scene buildings in the background can be seen cutting in and out, game play gfx where good but the game is getting very old now. Overall it felt rushed, bungie had an incredblie turn around deadline to make a sequal and i don't blame them for how th egam eturn out. It game me many months of online play madness, but the story mode, which i beat in a few hours, left me wonting for much much more.
  7. Halo 2 was a great game! A year ago. When this game came out and everyone was online playing it i would recommend it. I used to play the game on live but my Xbox live account ran out, you have to pay you know. Now the single play is terrible, if you played the first one the this sotry line will make you so mad. They ruin the whole story line and the game is much to short/easy. Online is amazing, but this game is feeling its age. If you have your heart set on a FPS then halo is a good game but if you wont a well rounded xbox game look for somthing eles.
  8. Hey i live in central MN, a suberb of Minnaplois, probably not that close to you guys.
  9. "Back to Camelot” Personal log- ASEC LT.Jg Murdok Helios The barracks seemed calm as people read padd’s and quietly caught up on their duty logs. I stretched out my body, first my legs pulling them up one at a time to eye leave and doing slow kicks keeping them leave and steady. Then my arms I fell down to the ground and quickly did 20 push-ups. I returned to my feet and took a low broad stance. Stretching my two fists right in front of me. Breathing in and out slowly focusing on relieving all of my stress. “After getting my promotion and trying to relax I got pulled away to help find Cmrd. Corizon. I had no idea it would turn out into a very action filed shore leave. Well after a battle with two strangers we quickly boarded a shuttle and flew off to the ship. We returned with many questions that still haven’t full been answered. Who was that person who took Summers, and the other stranger that battled with her. Why was Corizon with her and where had he been all this time.I hope to find these answers soon.” I opened my eyes and saw more people stream into the barracks as there shifts where over. I went down to my knees and then sat down crossing my legs and closing my eyes once again. I began the meditation breathing techniques my father taught me. “Now we are on our way back to Camelot hopefully the journey will be without major interruption.” I stood up and put away my personal things. Pulled back my beds cover and turned of the log recorder. Turned off the little light that illuminated my bed and went to sleep.
  10. fatty fatty bumbalaty
  11. I read mostly the ones from the SEC department, and try and keep up on the rest of the crews. I always try and catch corizons because his logs tend to cover the overall story of the sim.
  12. 1 hour at sim, i might catch a acad once in a while. and a nother 1 for logs i guess. back in the summer it was alot more, pretty much every acad.
  13. ASEC Duty LOG Lieutenant Junior Grade Murdok Helios I had just started out on my shore leave when I was called back by Adm. Day. I was already late, McKnight and I where to meet up in a local bar not far from the landing port. I was summoned up to the observation deck. I was had missed his first comm, so by the time I reached him. It had been a very long time since he first sent for me. Day had a sour look on his face, I came up to their table and quickly stood at attention. He was sitting with Random Perfect. He told me that he was not happy with me being late and that, why was I not in uniform. I got scared as he continued, but all of a sudden he stood up and promoted me! I was so happy I tried to hold it back but I went on thanking him. I said my good byes and went off as soon I was out of ear shoot I gave out a great yaahhoo. After leaving I made my way back to the bar and was quickly taken off with McKnight. We meet up with Summers and I was told that Cmdr. Corizon had not been heard of for a while. Then went on ahead trying to enter a door in a large wall. The guard told us that we could not get in to look for Corizon. With no luck I returned to the ship, I did not know all the facts behind his disappearance but, I knew we would have to get back to searching for him the next day. At the end of the day, I was on one side extremely happy with my promotion. But with Cmdr. Corizon gone I was very worried.
  14. Have fun only talking to your self
  15. I said yes go ahead and throw it into Tne Forward, as a subforum. If we didn't do this just to put more posts into "Community & Trek Discussion" forum then that will be flooded by random redstar threads.
  16. The ship was attacked while I was off duty. While trying to catch up on some personal business down in the crew barracks I was rocked by the attack on our ship. Little is know about who or why we where attacked but we now had to get the ship back in working order. And then set off to get those who took that cheap shot at us. Now stationed at the tactical station on the bridge I knew it was my chance to prove myself. I started to get some of the key functions of the ship back online. The bridge was damaged but I had no time to do anything about it. I quickly got to work and soon had some progress with weapons. The shuttles had been towing the ship and now we could see the planet Al-Ucard on the view screen. As we entered the planets atmosphere the ship rocked, but I held onto my consol, and the turbulence soon subsided. The ship landed and I felt a calm as if a load had been lifted off my shoulders. I had done a good job, on the bridge.
  17. they did. Anyone think if this had come out when the Tv show or any moives where being made, would that have been a problem with his job.
  18. while not on here i eat babies... mmm babies
  19. On paper the PS3 blows the X-box 360 out of the water. Using the same disc reading device the 360 can hardly be called next gen. By waiting a year th eprice of th enew BlueRay reading device and dics will make the ps3 the best consol ever.
  20. Ah george don't leave me alone with Graham and Mcknight! huurry back <_<
  21. I bet if they find oil in the moon, we will see a vast leep forward in space travel tech. :P No doubt halliburton will be leading the way.
  22. Couldn't you just fire a nuke at Hurrican Rite? Then again you wouldn't want a radioactive hurrican heading your way.
  23. might have done something wrong 98 % Nerd, 97% Geek, 95% Dork
  24. We will never run out of oil! Ok ok before you start typing up you post bashing me, ponder this. If gas prices are influenced by the world supply of oil, what will happen when we run out of oil? The surprising answer is, we probably won't. That doesn't mean that the rampant use of fossil fuels isn't a concern - they are very harmful to the environment, and dwindling supplies will still cause massive changes in our economy but oil will get too expensive to use long before we run out. Oil companies start out with the easiest (and cheapest) oil to find and bring to the surface. Once that runs out, they have to find more oil, which might be harder to harvest. As time goes on and the oil supply dwindles, it will get harder and harder (and more and more expensive) to find what's left. Eventually, it will get so expensive to find and harvest the remaining oil that no one will be able to afford it. The rising costs will force us to develop other energy sources. I hope Gas becomes very expensive very fast, so we can make switch to something eles. The only way Oil companys will become, Wind, Solar, Hydro power companies is if they can make more money than they are now.
  25. “Training Interrupted” -ASEC Ensign Murdok Helios Duty Log- Upon getting orders from Lt. Commander Brian Graham to instruct Eng personal in the USS MORINGSTARS TAC systems. I left the sec office and headed down to Main Engineering. I meat up with Lt. Jg. Tandaris Admiran, we then promptly went to Holodeck 1 to being his training. I loaded up a program with the Morningstars bridge set up and we had gotten through half of the test when a Red Alert drill sent everyone away to battle stations. I saved the program, form there Tandaris and I left the Holodeck to resume the test at a later time. I quickly made it to my battle station. The Phaser Turret (Port side) Deck 9. Once the drill was over I returned to the Holodeck and finished Tandaris Admiran’s training session. He passed after a few hiccups, and is now certified at the TAC station. I will soon be meeting up with my Team members that I will be going down to the planet with. I hope everything goes off with any problems, wouldn’t want to lose anyone on my first away mission.
