Draw Poker Personal Log: Eagle,James,T., Lt.,Tactical Officer,U.S.S. Arcadia We have very little time left,And the clock is counting down as I am making this log. The away team has been lost to sensor and transport lock apparently caused by a dampening field that suddenly appeared where none was present before at last required check in by the team. The data acquired from the Nevs,Inechie,as well as archival library references combined with the data translated and discovered by the planet side Archeologist in charge of the dig has been combined in an attempt to identify and validate both parties claims as to rights of possession to the planet. A stumbling block had been thrown into the equation when a new discovery was literally unearthed..resulting in a new subterranean cavern being discovered containing the ruins of an ancient civilization. The new data actually does suggest the Inechie and the Nevulsians as having a common background. This may actually mean one has no better right to lay claim to the planet than the opposing party. The data does point out at one time both societies did in fact co exist on the surface. The data and historical records as well as some ancient artifacts discovered point to one of the races actually placing into or using the other race as slaves to be used for whatever purpose they deemed appropriate. The data gathered does suggest there may have been an uprising,or out and out civil war between the two parties...the end resulting in one of them being forced into exile from the planet, This would seem to authenticate what the Inechie Grand Commander had stated in comm with our Captain. I am under the impression the connection may go back even further, However if history has taught us anything history is usually written by the winner in a conflict. The clock is winding down to confrontation between the two species,Our away team is considered in danger at this time,a full security rescue team is standing by to beam down to the planet to a location just outside the dampening field,Data is being gone over carefully to find a way to get the two parties to resolve this situation peacefully. There is one fact still remaining...Neither party is a member of the UFP,though the Nevulz have been on friendly terms with the Federation, It is not a member and therein lies the conflict as it pertains to the Prime Directive. I do have a suggestion to our Commanding officer...But first I need to ask him if he has ever played poker. Computer end log;...Beep.. :D

Walking A Fine Line Duty Log: Eagle,James,T.,lt., Tactical Officer U.S.S. Arcadia Computer Begin Log: Beep.... The arrival of the Captain and the other members of the away team that were tasked with the meeting with the Nevuluz President and his cabinet has proved to be most interesting and does reveal a bit more of the occupants of the planet and the officials there. The ensuing conversation with the Grand Commander of the Ineche fleet has as well revealed much about them as well. The Ineche fleet has moved into what is known as a classic attack formation in Tactical circles. The data on the fleets ships has been reviewed...The planets defensive capabilities have been taken into account as well, In comparison the planets fall well below the type and ability to defend themselves from the fleet parked in orbit above. The President of the planet had apparently stated his own resolve to implement a scorched earth policy if pressed to do so...The reaction of the Ineche was quick when that data had been revealed to them. The launch of an energy based weapon was initiated and struck, Presumably disabled the missle silo. That I found to be extremely a point of interest to pursue tactically... Resuming my passive scans and confirming our own scans of the planet it has occurred to me the Ineche technology may be flawed. Commander Marx has requested a sit rep of the planetary defense force and their respective positions. I have correlated the data as well as awaiting the data from our science officer busied with comparative data from the dig site below,And the data sent to us by the Ineche historical data banks. Sam has been working steadily with the data and I believe it may be most illuminating when it is all made available. I will be the first one to state for the record a sincere desire for an equitably acceptable solution from both parties involved. In the event the situation continues to escalate instead of cool heads prevailing...There may yet be another way to get the opposed parties to reason and talk instead of being hell bent on mutual destruction...the data will tell. Contemplation Of Time Personal Log: Eagle,James,T.,Lt. looking around the bridge and noting the progress of the various officers as they went about their respective duties. The situation appears to be most at the most intense stage of development so far. I find myself once again in the CC and the responsibility of the bridge, The Captain has again left the ship in hopes of garnering a peaceful resolution to the crisis that does present itself to us at the moment. I have mixed feelings of our Commanding officer being absent from this ship at this time. I do have however the most great respect and admiration for him as he has demonstrated to be one of the Fleets finest Commanding officer it has been my pleasure to serve with. Looking at the chronometer watching as the minutes proceed...counting down to what appears to be an unavoidable ending in this quagmire of negotiations. The Grand Commander of the race that has appeared and made their intentions well known to all has given the ruling planetary government a very short time in which to vacate and turn over the planet to them...That is an impossible task under the best of conditions given the time he has allowed. That presents us with another existing problem, The Commander has transferred his races historic data files for us to look over to substantiate his claim of ownership of this planet. The present occupying race disavow any knowledge of the race ..and in all probability will not accept or comply with the stated demands,The planetary defense forces have already scrambled and are holding at their positions...I have been in communicae with them and have asked them to await the outcome of a more diplomatic resolution to this dilemma before starting a shooting war. Ens.Tar'Ghet has been at Tactical monitoring all military communications between their DOD and the forces in the field...I need to know if anyone even so much as sneezes wrong and gets trigger happy. The Captain is well aware of the tensions involved here and has ordered me to try and keep any concerned in the parties from firing the first shot. The Chronometer still proceeds to click off the minutes...time may be either an ally or an enemy...I fear in this situation time may prove to be the latter. End Log...Beep. :)

Hey all...an update, This week is dedicated to Independence Day here in the USA. The band will be Rocking and Rolling....for all of you whom will be at home this weekend. :P

First Contact Duty Log: Eagle,James,T.,Lt., U.S.S Arcadia, Temp. Assignment CIC.. The beginning of the away team mission appeared simple and routine with the exception of Captain LoAmi joining the party. The Captain had mentioned his desire for some fresh air and due to his past as a Science officer with noted Archeological experience he did join the team and beamed down to the surface to meet with a certain Doctor he had been knowledgeable of. The data uplinks to Arcadia have been routed to the various departments by my order. The data found there may be of use to the Federation as well as the ship. The away team had been in contact with the medical,science,and engineering dept's. as it pertained to various personnel and equipment. Watching the teams work and explore finding bits and pieces of the estimated 2,000 +/- year old civilization that had occupied this planet designated as Nevuluz,metal shafts apparently placed deep underground and exhibiting possible signs of a previous civilization that was advanced,to what degree is unknown at this time. Sitting in the CC observing the monitor and conversing with the various bridge personnel as they went about their respective duties I had began to think of the Vulcan ambassadorial ship with the long range shuttle that had been dispatched to meet us here for the transfer of my twin children. The holo pictures sent to me by their Vulcan Grand parents spoke volumes. The site of the little girls face stirred memories of my beloved T'Linna as she is the image of her mother. The visage of the male child did invoke images of myself at his age ....Ancestors help him. I had thought about grabbing a cup of Coffee to help ease the time when it happened, A blip appeared on our sensors...No wait multiple blips, Possibly a Thousand vessels had dropped out of warp and were approaching. Advising Captain LoAmi and post Commander Marx contacting the Neveluz Govt. We had been the authorization to make contact with the new visitors rapidly approaching. The order to beam up the AT was given,and once in position Captain LoAmi did order the beaming. We had initially gotten a look at our new visitors as an image appeared on our MVS...The image was not the usual one seen on a regular basis, We all have seen our share of different life forms in our travels...None quite met this species. Post acquisition of a valid comm freq. the Commander of that fleet and I began an opening dialogue...peacefully I hope. The one thing that has definitely caught my attention was the Commanders remark of them returning from their exile to reclaim their planet that may prove to be a delicate diplomatic conference indeed....End Log::Beep:: :D

And fine the offenders......or their surviving family.....nah not going to happen. :D
