  1. COMPUTER START LOG Stardate 0307.17 Ne'Arrain R'Tor Bat'ok Personal Log Well what can I say?::some footsteps are heard as well as a light tapping noise from a ISD being tapped against a hand::It has been a while since I have actually made a personal log.::footsteps stop::t'Rex is now captured and being held by the klingons, engineering has been keeping me busy with translating and looking over their files trying to get any info on them as I can, and the computer seems to like being stubborn and wasn't fully translating the files.::a reflective pause then a thoughtful tone::It could be worse, they could be attaching the ship making us have endless hours of work and then take more of us as hostages introducing us to torture or death, or they might have attacked and injured more of our away team.:: another thoughtful pause:: What am I talking about? We could still be taken hostage, or be fired at which is a very likely possibility. I believe we are pursuing the klingon ship that is believed to have t'Rex on it deeper into their territory. For all we know we are being set up to be ambushed. These files we have been translating aren't all that much tactical data on this capture so I would think it was a spur of the moment capture and a surprise to them, so then they didn't get much preparing time to set up for an ambush or an elaborate plan.::the tapping stops::The way that new erein was able to translate those symbols with such ease and swiftness I almost wonder if he hadn't been exposed to such configurations before, and if so where. I would have not thought that a Romulan would be interested to learn the language of those Klingons that fully for a personal interest. I know my personal HIC program will not have any klingons or klingon culture items in it:: an ISD is heard beeping as commands are being entered with a pause in speaking::as for the setting I have yet to come up with. As soon as it is busy I wouldn't mind getting time to try it out but if we are still in there space I think I will be concentrating on engineering projects not any leisure time projects. 2. COMPUTER START LOG Stardate 0307.03 - 0307.17 Ne'Arrain R'Tor Bat'ok Log Back to engineering. I must admit it was peaceful in there for a while with very few crew members around the area, but I knew with the excitement of the last few days that the nice peaceful mood I had assumed for that brief while wouldn't last long. Before I knew it I had orders to translate some klingon files. Now that assignment would have been easy and somewhat relaxing and easy. I must remember where we are and that anything could go wrong. To set the programs up to translate was easy but just as the ISD had reached engineering we were thrown around from some sort of blast to the ship. I should have known that even on the ship I was still a target for the Klingons. I was hoping they had fed their trigger happiness on the planet when they had attempted,::grins smugly::unsuccessfully I might add. But that darn tree::growls::Anyway I am off topic again. Well that little pitiful attempt at a threatening blow didn't damage the ship that much, and we did eventually get the files downloaded and the translation started. The translation programs I had put together really did a decent job. I am surprised though that they weren't updated or a little bit more........ hmmm what would be a good description.....thoroughly built to translate the files a little more fully. The program had not been able to translate three symbols. Now, when a ship is at the front lines like this I would have EXPECTED ::a little ticked::that the ship would have been given a complete overhaul of the system files dealing with the enemy and all of the new intelligence data gathered to be sent to us for our use. However I see that this is not the case here. Well I guess that means we will have to work around it. Luckily we just happen to have a new erein that seeeeeems able to speak Klingon. The timing of his arrival seems to be::slight pause::convenient for the translation of the files. Almost too convenient for my liking, he did come aboard after we got a hold of the files. The translated logs were sent to the bridge, well at least the logs after being ran through the programs. I was then to go through the scanning data and star charts to determine the last area of where the ship was located. At least our star charts are updated. Voric was able to get a star match on our charts and had determined a flight path. The scan data was somewhat more interesting. It has some interesting readings of the area it was scanning. I hope my report will be ready for t'Temarr soon however I still have data to go through before I get it finished. Maybe after I finish working with this klingon translation files I can start doing simple ideas to algorithms for my HIC program.::some object hits a hard surface::Well for now I think I will take a break from these data ISD's. 3. COMPUTER START LOG Stardate 0306.19 Ne'Arrain R'Tor Bat'ok log Wow my first away mission, and it is on a planet with several klingons.::a pause where footsteps are heard from pacing::Where to start, well it was an exciting yet real experience. To creep through trees and bush while having the enemy in the same terrain unable to see them in the distance. It would have been easy to walk into one had we not had the scanner to scan for life signs. As it is a klingon had stumbled upon us after we had fell back after finding a couple of klingons in out path. That was an interesting experience! I must say that is the first time I had actually stood facing a klingon no more than a couple of meters from me, the fact that he had a weapon aimed at me just made me all the more aware that this is the reality of the klingon threat. At least my reflexes were able to get me to dive out of the way in time. I admit it had surprised me, but I had let my guard down and wasn't doing my job of scanning for klingons. I was going to go and head back to the shuttle to get a more detailed scan of the area before the klingon surprised us but I am glad that t'Rex had decided that we should stick in one group. The way my luck was going I probably would have been shot. After the klingon had been neutralized t'Sheiba and I had headed back to where the two klingons had blocked our path to take care of them. Well I must say this wasn't how I thought my first away mission would go.::pause::we get to where we had stopped the first time when I had signaled about the two life forms in front of us when out of no where, or maybe it seemed that way since I was concentrating on the scanner, three more klingons appear, and they are also armed. I had gotten to some cover and had gotten a couple of shots off. I think one had hit one of the klingons in the shoulder, but this part is a bit of a blur. I know I did pull back a bit more to put more cover in front of me, and I remember looking over to see t'Sheiba taking cover behind a...rock I think. Then I saw a bright flash right beside me and then a flash of pain in my neck and in my head. I don't fully remember what happened to the third klingon, the other two were dead by this time. I did reach up to where the pain was and when I pulled my hand away there was blood. Some how t'Sheiba had gotten over to my side and t'Rex was there. Well I ended up getting escorted back to the shuttle to get to medical back on the Talon. The Maenak had healed the wound but I think she was looking for a more challenging or different injury. I got to leave medical rather quickly and got back to engineering. Now I never would have imagined getting injured by a tree and taken off an away mission because I got too close to a tree. Now I get to have a toothpick collection only I think those pieces of wood got thrown away. I am beginning to wonder if the klingons have it in for just me or for Rihans in general. I am leaning more towards me since the two encounters on the planet I had them fire directly at me. On a good note I had added some points to keep in mind to the ISD I am using for my HIC program. Now I only hope I can live long enough to use it. COMPUTER END LOG
  4. Sorry about the late posting. COMPUTER BEGIN LOG Stardate 0306.12 Erein Sheiba t'Aehjae log Ne'Arrain R'Tor Bat'ok log The two Rihans had approached the coordinate of where the two other klingons where known to be. t'Sheiba had stopped and turned back to R'Tor wondering where the klingons were. R'Tor had stopped a few yards back looking at the tricorder. R'Tor had attempted to signal that there were klingons ahead but was interrupted as three klingon bore down on them. The Klingons had started to fire at the two romulans both trying to keep under cover. There were several blasts fired but eventually two of the Klingons had fallen. The third had taken a close shot at R'Tor's position hitting a tree sending the splinters of wood into her head and neck drawing blood. t'Rex had arrived in the nick of time and had slayed the third klingon. t'Sheiba seeing the injured crew mate had rushed over to investigate the wound while t'Rex had looked about looking for the reinforcements. t'Sheiba and R'Tor were sent back to the shuttle so R'Tor could get up to the Talon to receive medical attention. The shuttle was a fair distance away. t'Sheiba had commented that the wound didn't appear all that bad but was unable to do anything for it. Instead she had reassured R'Tor that the maenka would be able to fix it. R'Tor was glad to hear that. After t'Sheiba had reexamined the wound she had tore off a piece of her sleeve and handed it to R'Tor to put to the wound to soak up the blood and so to not leave a trail of blood for any unwanted visitor. After accepting the piece of cloth R'Tor had put it up to the wound and attempted to apply some pressure without pushing the wood deeper in. Both Rihans were checking for any movement that could indicate any klingons in the surrounding trees. They had exchange some conversational talk about what Security is like. R'Tor had started to slow down in her pace and t'Sheiba, concerned had asked if R'Tor needed a rest. R'Tor had disagreed and wanted to continue on while commenting that she wasn't losing too much blood. They soon reach the shuttle and get in before they can be spotted out in the open. Once in the shuttle t'Sheiba hails the Talon and informs them of one to beam up to medical. t'Sheiba also agrees to check on R'Tor after the Away team gets back to the ship. COMPUTER END LOG
  5. COMPUTER START LOG Stardate 0305.22 Erein R'Tor Bat'ok log I got a few seconds of a breather from my last run before the repairs took over my attention. We are now in the recovering stages from the mine attack. I am assigned to monitoring the power flow as the repairs progress and transfer power to systems as they are repaired. So far thing seem to be going alright although there was a power spike in sector 213. The cause, I do not know for sure, but if it keeps up or happens in other sectors it will cause problems especially if the spike appears in an essential area or during a power transfer. To attempt to find the source and to monitor the flow I have brought up a display of sectors 190 to 240 incase the cause is an energy serge in the area or if it is a random occurrence. Repair crews have repaired the torpedoes and I had restored the power flow to them monitoring it as it approached full power. Then I had checked it off on the list I had put on an ISD of the immediate systems to repair. So far there seems to be no problems with the power levels so the systems are accepting the drain to the torpedoes. Right now everything seems to be going nicely, but since I first started on this ship this post seems like constant work so I should be prepared for any possible complication. Any type of task requiring work from brain numbing problem solving to physically draining labor. COMPUTER END LOG COMPUTER START LOG Stardate 0305.22 Erein R'Tor Bat'ok's personal log Well after four duty shifts I have managed not to blow up the ship, not to get killed, and.... all in all stayed out of trouble. So I assume this must be a good sign however, engineering is a busy place right now cleaning up the ship after having all those mines attacking us. The job has been steady work since I first reported fit for duty. I am not complaining about the work load, but after a while a break is nice just to get away from everything. It also gives something to look forward to after the work is complete, instead of always getting the job done in time to survive. Out on the Kll'inghannsu border there isn't exactly any where that would be sanely considered a great place for relaxing shore leave, and here isn't the place to get all relaxed letting any of our guard down. So in all logic the only way to survive and succeed in defeating the kll'inghannsus is to do my job in a mentality of do or die. So I guess that exercise program will have to wait until we get to more safer area and the ship is fully repaired, but I think I might grab an ISD to have on hand and start jotting ideas when I get time. If the work doesn't let up I might have to create a relaxing program or a stress reliever instead. ::a pause in the audio:: I might just be able to put it all in one program. If I did that then I would have to worry about deciding what program to run and I can get a work out then do something relaxing. I wonder where I put that blank ISD.... COMPUTER END LOG
  6. COMPUTER START LOG Stardate 0305.15 Erein R'Tor Bat'ok log Third day on the job and they already have me running around. I should be happy I am not, I believe the term the humans use is, ‘chasing my tail'. At least I think that is the term the humans use to describe doing something that is leading me in circles getting no where. I guess all that physical training at the academy is useful after all. I had managed to hook up all the scout ships and work pods power cells to the main power grid manually, in the rising heat. That was a very tiring job, the heat wasn't helping any, and Pexil had entered the scout bay while I was hooking the scouts up, I was so focused on my work I hadn't noticed he had entered until after I had finished. I need to work on being aware of my surroundings while I am working, so next time it isn't klingons that have boarded looking to kill me. If the power cells don't provide enough we could turn the shuttles on to recharge the cells, or just to feed the ship directly. If all the assigned duties and attacks are this physically demanding then I might have to look into programming an exorcize program for my self on the HIC. That is if I can get enough spare time to create and compile the program not to mention to actually use the program..... Then again I suppose if the normal duties are this demanding I may not need an exorcize routine to stay in shape enough to preform my tasks. I will just have to wait to see how much excersize this posting will require, hopefully not enough to kill me. COMPUTER END LOG

  8. COMPUTER START LOG Stardate 030501 Erein R'Tor Bat'ok's log. Today I started my first assignment since the accademy, aboard the R.E.S. Talon as an assistant engineer. After arriving on board I went straight to engineering to receive my assignment. There I had met the Daise'Engineer El'Arrain Laehval t'Temarr, and the small craft specialist Trpexil. Since I had not yet checked in at medical to be cleared for duty I was sent to medical to get my physical. I had also gotten my room assignment which I had stopped at on my way to medical. I got to medical and met the Daise'Maenak Daise'Erei'Riov Morgana T'ksa. She had examined me then released me fit for duty. I left sickbay and am headed to Engineering to report in ready and cleared for duty. COMPUTER END LOG COMPUTER START LOG Stardate 030508 Erein R'Tor Bat'ok log I just started my post today. I met the engineering propulsion specialist officer Erein Vor'tic when I walked into engineering. We were being hit by mines and losing power in the power flow. Between being thrown around by the blasts and trying to monitor the internal sensors, the power flow, and all systems, I managed to divert power from the replicators, sonic showers, and brig force fields. I am currently on my way to the shuttle bay to hook the shuttles up to the power supply to gain more power. I am at a run from the turbo lift to the shuttle bay right now. COMPUTER END LOG
  9. Thanks Vor'tic the red shirt is a little big but it goes well under my unifrom.
  10. Just a side note tactical : r_tor thanks
