  2. Subject : Re:Anti Scorpiad Weapons Modification Projects From : Captain Ah-Windu Corizon To : Ambassador Joy Five CC : Admiral Day, Captain Sorehl Classification : Secret Ambassador I will attempt to quickly address a few of the questions you and the conference raised regarding Anti-Scorpiad weapons. I have passed along your suggestions to Representative Zie of the Shallia and she has found them to be most satisfactory and looks forward to a meeting with you at your convince once we've arrived at Camelot. On the subject of the viral attacks. Under the directive of the Federation Council as a member of the Advanced Tactical Group, I have been authorized to use whatever force necessary to keep the Scorpiad threat contained within the Gamma Quadrant, however, I find myself agreeing with you. None of the options presented are particularly appealing, but the nannite option seems to be our best option. From past experiences with Species 8472, we may be able to use some sort of Nanotechonlogy against the warheads, however, I will caution that from the information we've gathered, the Scorpiads have fought back several Borg incursions into their territory and may have already developed a counter for such technology. I will leave it at the discretion of the Project Coordinator to determine the best course of action in this regard. Regards, Captain Ah-Windu Corizon
  3. This Week On Excalibur The crew of the Excalibur has returned to Camelot. Engineering, Science and Medical are working under the direction of Captain Sorehl determining ways to counter the Scorpiads while Security has been given a special assignment by Captain Corizon himself.
  4. Excalibur has made repairs to her vital systems after the battle with the Scorpiads while the Reliant has rendezvoused with the Excalibur. The two ships now head back towards Camelot Station with their ghostly passenger. 021807.txt
  5. Throb. Throb. Corizon’s head continued to pound in synch with the turbolift as it made its way towards the astrometics lab. He knew he should probably have headed to his quarters for some rest, the mess for nourishment, or the holodeck for some much deserved relaxation—or even the gym for calisthenics; that wasn’t his way. Burring himself in his work was his way. After all he an entire war to plan—the liberation of the wormhole now took precedence over everything, even his own health. The doors opened and the lankish Dameon began to make his way towards the astrometrics lab. What was that? His nostrils flared slightly as his ears raised to attention. That scent—Caitian—male…and…female. He shook his head. He’d served with their species before and found them to be admirable officers, but it took him a while to get used to their…feline…smell. Lowering his ears, he headed forward down the corridor. The crew wore their apprehension and exhaustion on their faces as they passed him on their way to and from duty shifts. Unfortunately, there would be little time to rest. Work on getting the Excalibur the rest of the Federation fleet ready for the battle he knew was coming would be exhausting and they’d need every last man they could get working on the project. 0400 and he was already at work. He had a busy day: meetings with all the dept heads, another with Sorehl, a subspace conference with the Romulan Admiral, and another with Semil. At least by the time the day was done they’d be back in the safety of the Avalon system.

  8. With thanks to my Co-Author, the Lovely Colonel Harper "Fellow Vorta we have returned with the word of the Founders," Taenix said, her amethyst eyes devoid of emotion. "They have spoken, and we shall do as they command." Gathered around the table, the entirety of the Vorta Council looked towards their leaders. Keevan, few of them trusted, and Taenix even fewer. But both demanded respect, and Taenix spoke with the voice of the gods. "And what," drawled one Vorta further down the table, "do they say?" The moment of truth, could she pull of this masquerade? Taenix acknowledged the speaker before opening her mouth with a nod. "For too long we have fought this war defensively," she said confidently. "We cannot hope to win if we are always running from our opponent." Keevan nodded from the corner, careful to hide his concern beneath a stoic facade. "We go on the offensive?" There was hesitance in the voice. "But where?" "Everywhere," her voice rose in strength. "Anywhere the Scorpiads and their ilk press upon our space we will fight them. We must be resolute, it is the will of the Founders that no inch of their space be forefit."" Several of the Vorta exchanged glances at this remark. Finally a timid voice arose, "How do you plan to do this?" Another lifted his head to speak, "How exactly do you plan on launching an offesnive when we've barely been able to contain them with in the containment zones? Do we have have the strength to launch such an attack?" "Odo has commissioned the activation of the as yet untested Alpha Strain of the Jem'Hadar," Keevan finally said after a long pause. "Odo himself?" The Vorta blinked, somewhat startled. Taenix and Keevan nodded. "The suvival of his children is of great concern to Odo." "The Alpha strain remains untested," Taenix quickly continued. "What better way for them prove themselves than by bringing the victory they so rightly deserve to the Gods?" "The Alpha strain is untested," another of the council repeated, but in a different tone. "Can we trust our very survival to them?" "You have a better plan?"

  14. The Dominion attack cruiser two Vorta stood aboard the command nexus impatiently wearing the eyepieces that gave them sight beyond the hull of the ship. “You will be the one to tell Odo of your defiance Taenix…” “And you will be the one to tell him of your failure.” The two meet eyes long enough to show their mutual dislike for the other. The stardown was broken by the voice of the Jem’Hadar first. “We are entering sensor range now…” -- “This can not be,” Keevan exclaimed, his voice weak as his knees. “They…” “They’re gone.” Taenix’s voice remained neutral though it was clear she was not expecting what had come to pass. “But how could the Scorpiads have found this location?” “There’s no sign that it was the Scorpiads who did this…” “You think they abandoned us?” “It would seem so…” “What do we tell the others?” -- “Fellow Vorta we have returned with the word of the Founders…”
  15. Not that Apple hasn't had its own fair share of problems, iPodNano anyone. Honestly from what I, and my several friends who are developers have seen, Vista is a very nice system that just needs a few kinks worked out as far as compatibility goes. A side note, I've heard very good things about IE7 and haven't had any trouble using the chatrooms with said IE7. Don't know any reason why to suggest not using it. ;)
  16. Everything had happened so fast. A chain of events set in motion, like dominos falling upon one after another. A damaged ship and an injured Captain, Corizon sighed to himself as he made his way to turbo lift. The doctors had told him to rest, but that wasn’t happening. He had to be on his guard, as did the entire ship. In a period of less than twenty-four hours they’d been attacked—in some form—by both a Al-Ucardian hunting party and a Scorpiad warship. Whatever these Ghosts were, the Scorpiads were interested in them. As the doors opened on the turbo lift, Corizon was more than a little surprised to see Zie standing, waiting for him to enter. Quirking both ears, Corizon entered looking directly at his fellow passenger. “Do I want to know how you’re here, instead of under guard?” “What makes you think I was ever here,” her voice creepily synthetic, “Captain?” Holograms. Lovely. “I take it you want to talk to me in private?” “You’re perceptive,” she said with a smile. Corizon entered and allowed the lift doors to close. “Bridge.” “This may take longer than that Captain.” “Halt lift.” Corizon’s voice was tinged with annoyance. If they were trying to win him over, they were failing miserably. “Make it quick.” Zie lifted a brow. “I do not understand why you are perturbed. We have offered nothing but an open hand.” “And captured my away team, bypassed our security network…and for all I know, called those eight-legged idiots here.” “And why would we do that?” “Hell if I know,” Corizon said rakingly. “Perhaps this is all a carefully set trap to infiltrate the Alpha Quadrant allies.” That’s the Corizon I remember. A hand touched his neck. It was cold and scaly. You know you can’t trust them. You should go down there and destroy that case or whatever it was they were hiding in. Corizon blinked. The voice was all too familiar and it visibly shook him. Sensing the mild confusion, Zie lowered her voice. “Is everything all right Captain?” Ignoring the soft caress at his neck, “Yes…” “As I was saying Captain,” Zie continued, unsure to the state of Corizon’s mind, “we’ve given you no reason not trust us.” They haven’t given you any reason to trust them either. “You haven’t given us any reason to trust you either.” Exactly. “How may we earn your trust then?” That’s a good question. The hand upon the nape of his neck lifted. Standing to left of Zie Corizon saw the face he’d prayed not to see. A show of good faith perhaps? But we all know what faith is worth these days. Don’t we Captain? “That’s a good question,” he said trying to avoid acknowledging the other person in the lift. “Tell me what your intentions are.” -- Sometime later Corizon exited the lift, alone, onto the bridge. Standing near the center seat, his eyes made contact with Zie again. Smiling slightly, she looked to the Captain. “We’ll set course for Camelot as soon as possible.”

  18. Mission Brief: The captured away team met with their "hosts" the 'Ghosts' who identified themselves as the Shallia, a race of cybernetic augments created by the Scorpiads to fight the Borg and help develop new technologies. They have offered to help fight the Scorpiads. The AT told them they'd need to speak with their superiors before accepting. The apparent leader of the Shallia offered to go with the AT back to the Excalibur to personally speak with Captain Corizon. Meanwhile, the Excalibur crew dealt with the increasing problems being created by the Scorpiad fighter in the cargo bay, culminating with said fighter's escape from captivity. Current popular conjecture has it returning to the Scorpiad warship which appeared on sensors. Elsewhere, the Reliant engaged an Eritan ship in hopes of finding the lost ambassadors. 012107.txt 012107.pdf

  20. Did it ever end? Corizon took a deep breath, mentally compartmentalizing everything happening on the bridge of the Excalibur. An away team had been lost on the planet, and from the conversation he heard Betty having a few meters away from him, found. The power network on Excalibur had completely failed then miraculously went back to normal, just as the Scorpiad fighter being stored in the cargo hold broke free of the ship again, though this time sans hostages. Oh, and there was a Scorpiad ship en route with no doubt malevolent intent. When this was all over, Corizon was taking one very long vacation. He didn't care who he had to bribe, black mail or out-right extort he was going on vacation; but for now that would have to wait. In order he tried to assess the situation. The away team clearly had some explaining to do, and if they knew what was good for their careers, they'd have some information about the "Ghosts." The Scorpiad fighter, he imagined, had gone to rejoin its bigger brother, or was it cousin? Now there was an exercise in genealogy that might make someone's head hurt, the relationships between the various Scorpiad vessels. He made a mental note and filed it away. Maybe, just maybe, the Clickity-Clicks would want to talk instead of shooting at everything that moved. A little voice inside his head suddenly wondered when Corizon became an optimist.
  21. MISSION BRIEF: Since I was having connectivity issues, I am venturing a guess that we killed time. So we pick up where we left off. Corizon is planning a "rescue" operation, while the Ghosties are upto something. And Sorehl and co are rather...busy as it were. 011407.txt 011407.pdf
  22. Mission Brief: Aboard the Excalibur, the bridge crew continues to try and give aide to the out numbered and and aforementioned away teams, however communication is being blocked, as are transporters. And then there is the problem with the Scorpiad fighter that Tandaris and tr'Lorin continue to try and solve. Elsewhere, the Reliant continues to search for our missing Ambassadors. 010707.txt 010707.pdf

  24. If I go (which is looking better all the time) I am not sure if I am going to stay at the Hilton or not. I am venturing a guess I can find cheaper accommodations elsewhere on the strip (as long as it's on the tram thingy you're in good shape). :D
  25. The Away team lead by Lt.Cdr Teykier has been taken "prisoner" what appears to be the Ghosts, on Excalibur, aware only that his AT is missing, Corizon prepares to launch a rescue effort. Elsewhere, the Reliant continues to search for our missing Ambassadors, while Avalon deals with a fast becoming epdidmic.
