  1. Computer, access personal log. Begin recording. One word could sum up today's events, confusion. I could remember nothing between my posting aboard the Challenger and my regaining of consciousness in engineering. I felt like I had been plunged into a barrel full of knives, and I was not far from the truth. When I rose in Main engineering, I was only semiconscious, and I had only one thought in my mind, reaching sick bay, for I knew that I was in dire straights. Unfortunately, they did not answer my requests for assistance, but through some turn of events, I arrived in sick bay only to find myself in greater danger than before. A fight had broken out between the doctors and the patients in sick bay, and I, still reeling from my experience in engineering was in the crossfire. Then on my head began to swim and I have no recollections of this period of time. I found myself then in engineering, trying to keep doors in sick bay from being sealed by a so-called enemy on board the ship, one that looks like my comrades, talked like them, but was subtly different from the comrades and crew members that I once knew. It was immediately clear how different these people were, for one that I had trusted and respected was at my throat, threatening my life saying that I somehow damaged his engines, his engines, not the engines, a great departure from the man that I had met and read about prior to joining the crew. Something was different, something was out of place, and I was very, very sure that it was not the engines. A fight ensued, in which I, to my great disgust, was forced to incapacitate the man who was and was not one of my fellow crew members and my direct superior with a Vulcan nerve Pinch. Although his fall was painless, my mind was filled with self disgust and questions, questions to which I had no answer, was I on the right side? Did I just make a terrible mistake? It was just then that's a pair of my fellow crew members opened fire upon me with phase pistols on a setting that I can only hope was stun. I tried to run but was hit by an errant volley. I collapsed almost immediately. I woke up briefly and was stunned again. When next I woke I had the good sense to stay completely still which was unnecessary as they were distracted by a transformation overcoming a fellow crew member, it was a transformation visible not to the naked eye but to the soul, a glimmer of someone from my USS Challenger, I could already see the hostility in their faces, those still of this strange, twisted excuse for a starship,I knew then that his fate, and mine were intertwined. It was at that moment that I finally understood: It was not about me, it was not about the ship, these things had no bearing on the situation. It was that man. The pain cleared, my purpose, set. Computer, end personal log.
  2. It was ok... the planetary reentry was kind of interesting, but in this book they really go into many mind-numbingly complex descriptions and instructions.
  3. Computer, access personal log. Begin recording. It wasn't a tumultuous first day, I got onto the surface of Cait after the attack and assisted Ensign Conner in his efforts to retrieve technology and prisoners from the surface. Although we did not manage to find much technology, we managed to... liberate a very large gun as well as two prisoners, Caitians from the planet surface, who we then escorted back to the Challenger. They say a man with a big gun is insecure, and Ensign Conner was holding quite a large gun, 75 lbs. of metal. Of course that is just a saying, the reality of the matter is that I wanted that gun and had I gotten it instead of him... I can just imagine the damage that such weapons could cause to the enemies of the empire when in the right hands. So soon after we arrived on board the Challenger, Ensign Conner began acting very strangely, almost as if he was not himself. I'm beginning too suspect, that Conner's hands may not be the right hands... And that I will take steps to ensure the continuation of the empire. Computer, end personal log.

  5. I only travel on business, except when it's for pleasure.
  6. I hear he's charging for that now. :P
  7. Nerd is such a broad term, I'd prefer to think of myself as... Well, okay I am a nerd, and I could not be more happy!
  8. The reason why they were wearing those uniforms was not explain to us, but it is obvious that they wanted to underscore the degradation of different species and genders by the empire. They like their women hot and human. LOL. The concept of an alternate universes always fascinated me and the way that this particular series explores it is much better then that of DS9. And my opinion this episode may well be the best of all the enterprise series.
  9. Fresca, that will be the sod and a of the future! But no, I have been drinking Mercator for years now, and haven't looked back.
