  1. 1. Jeez, that's a hard one. Probably the Buffy the Vampire Slayer Musical Soundtrack. I LOVE that thing. 2. It's always different. Right now it's "Every Little Thing" by Dishwalla.
  2. How about Orlando? Major tourist type place.. major airport. And not too far from me. :P Just a suggestion.
  3. "As They Lay Dying" by Midshipman Mithraia Coeur Stardate 0606.22 She could see it in their eyes. Despite the strong faces of the Klingons as they lay dying; she could see the fear. Perhaps not the fear of death. Perhaps not the fear of being weak. Maybe it was just the fear of the unknown. Mithraia Coeur, with a doctor's hands, could only ease their pain on the surface. A painkiller here, a sedative there. However, Mia was sure, flashing eidetic images of their families and comrades falling ill was fresh and piercing in their minds. Witnessing death, destruction, pain.. it wasn't something someone forgot easily. Even more, it was harder to forget when you felt the effects yourself. As another Klingon drifted into the oblivion of sedation.. Mia moved away to the small control center and took a seat. She leaned over in the chair and rested her face in her hands and exhaled a breath. The time they had been there wasn't long, but the task was already wearing on the crew. The esteemed medical-science team from the USS Agincourt was at a loss. The virus had left them puzzled. Though, at the moment, none of them could even be truly convinced that it was even THAT anymore. More questions than answers seemed to be coming up in their investigations. It was discouraging and while everyone tried to keep a face of confidence.. it was obvious everyone was feeling the same way. Watching people die was never easy. No matter how professional one could be. With her eyes closed, Mia's own mind revisited a place far away from there where death's hand held her world in it's hand.. ------------ The lights flickered and the building rumbled like a brilliant thunderstorm. The children were huddled in the corner, baracaded behind overturned beds and dressers. The province had been in civil war for only two months .. but the devastation was widespread. All attempts to make peace were overwhelmed by the neverending fighting on the countryside. It seemed only death, of one side or another, would end it all. There was another explosion and the building rocked again and children, ranging from age 2-15, screamed in terror. Most of their caretakers had already been killed. In a moment, the place would be crawling with soldiers. There was another explosion and the roof caved in on the group. The place echoed with their screaming and then was silenced. "I think they are all dead in here .." a scratchy voice blurted. The soldier had a frown on his face. Children. The dead were all children. He glanced to his fellow officer and shook his head, ".. I think intelligence is slipping. There was supposed to be weapons here. Ammuniton. But these are just kids. What a waste.." He felt a bit sad at the sight. The other soldier shrugged, "They were children of the enemy. It doesn't really matter. Let's go." The two turned to make their way out of the rubble, when a small whimper escaped the pile of ruin. "..wait. Did you hear that?" The soldier turned around and hastily moved back to the pile. He began to pull off rock, brick .. moving bodies around until he found her. A small girl. No more than 5 years old. Her vibrant red hair was dirty with dust and somewhat injured. He lifted her up gently in his arms, "She's alive! Go get a medic! She's alive.. just her.." He knew there would be casualties of this war.. but maybe he could save just one child from that fate. The fate of death at their hands. As he carried her out .. she cried softly. Her young mind trying to comprehend the sight of her friends, her 'family'... dead. ------------ Mia shook her head, sitting up straight and tried to get the memory to leave her mind. She had work to do. They all had work to do. The time to remember was not now. It was time to make sure that the dark cloud of death did not consume this people. To bring hope to the Klingons, as they lay dying.
  4. Amen to that! Honestly, I am so tired of Katie Holmes right now with that whole Tom Cruise fiasco.. that just the idea of her being in that movie; blech. Overkill. Though I definitely think Christian Bale is uber hot. (Not as much as Anakin though. Mwah.)
  5. I don't watch much TV anymore; but there are a few shows I try not to miss if I can. CSI, Law and Order: SVU, Numb3rs, Without a Trace, Forensic Files and I admit I am a sucker for MTV reality shows when I can. It's funny to watch people fight each other over stupid things. (Oh, and I do love The Grim Adventures of Billy and Mandy when I can catch it. Mwah.)
  6. Heh, well .. I like those too. But I remember really enjoying the metaphysical poets in school. It was my favorite subject to study. Which made me want to read more. I just basically appreciate anything that happens to touch me. :P
  7. Lots and loves of wub! :P "The Sun Rising" is definitely awesome. One of my faves. I also really adore "Love's Alchemy", "Farewell to Love" & "To His Mistress Going to Bed".. though I really admire all his work. Ah.. you rock. ;)
  8. I like both pretty equally.. well, Star Wars maybe just a point over Trek. Or half a point. But it's very close.
  9. John Donne is AWESOME. .. I wub you for knowing his work. ;)
  10. Welcome! Hope to see you around the sims.. ;)
  11. Frustrating moments? Life. Work. Love. ;P
  12. Perks of Being A Wallflower is one of my favorite books! Awesome! I love poetry, it's hard for me to try and pick a few I really love. There are too many. I love Sonnet 116 by Shakespeare. Mad Girl's Love Song by Plath...And a ton more I couldn't even begin to list.
  13. Purple is associated with wisdom, dignity, independence, creativity, mystery, and magic. Purple denotes high spirituality and religious aspiration. Purple also represents Peacefulness and Purification. It also has a sense of intuitive understanding and a feeling of intimacy with the world. ---- Yep, that's me. ;)
  14. Looks very interesting! I'll definitely look into it. We Doctors are w00t! ;)
  15. Sounds like everyone had a good time. I'll definitely have to go next year. I love Vegas! And I haven't been there since before I could actually GAMBLE. ;)
  16. Welcome! You've already gotten some great information..so I'll just say hi! HI! And if you need anything, don't hesitate to PM me. ;)
  17. Hey eyes are kind of haunting.. and the way she moved.. well, the girl could definitely work it. ;P Hey, to each their own.
  18. I think I'd be Bajoran. They rock. They have a great history, a great spirituality .. and those nose ridges are cute. ;)
  19. Highly shy? I somehow doubt that. ;) Anyways, welcome to the boards and to the group! Have you tried any of the Academies yet? If you need any help.. feel free to ask. We have plenty of awesome people here to lend assistance!
  20. Any of those men in uniform is a hottie... mmmm. ;)
  21. I play D&D, Star Trek and Star Wars. Though D&D is the one I do the most. I also play Magic the Gathering. ;) While not an RPG.. definitely table-top!
  22. I've always loved sci-fi, it was one thing my mother and I could bond on. ;P Let's see, sci-fi shows I've watched and watch today: Star Trek (all series) - Of course! Star Wars (ALL) - Mwah.. I love it. Stargate SG-1 - When I can actually catch episodes. It's not a consistant watching, but I try to. Farscape - Again, like SG-1, when I can catch it. Buffy the Vampire Slayer - I consider it partly sci-fi. I don't know what else to really label it under. The Dead Zone - Awesome show, with my favorite geek! ;) Babylon 5 - Pretty old school for me. I got into it when Sheridan became in charge. That's all I can think of for the moment.
  23. I lovelovelove TNG. DS9 is a close second. ;)
  24. If I were to have my choice..I'd want to just be my own Jedi character. But if I had to choose from something canon.. I'd be Aayla Secura. She's blue. She's hot. She's an awesome Jedi. And if I had been her.. I would have gone out with more of a fight when Order 66 went into motion. She went out just WAY too easily. ;P
  25. I'll have to check it out. I used to play Diablo II online a lot back when I still knew where the disc was. ::sniff:: I wish I could find it. I miss shooting things with my bow.
