  3. "Marish the Thought" Log entry 02: SD 10505.31 ^ Sheng-ji... Bare necessities! "Eh? What the deuce?" Pierre muttered. Tapping a button on his console, a weird picture of a dog-man, named Sheng-ji just coming out of the shower appeared on his screen. Pierre assumed this was just some kind of joke on the poor bloke (who Pierre later found out worked as an Engineer here on the Raeant) by the Engineering crew, and continued on with his research in Engineering. Out of the corner of his eye, Pierre could see Lt. Mclean hard at work on whatever it was he was doing at the moment. Pierre kind of scratched his head and stretched for a bit, before replicating some coffee and resuming his thorough examination of the piece of melted debris he was looking at. He was hoping to ascertain what caused the explosion in the Tholian ship that unfortunately killed the Ambassador of that race to the Federation. Judging by the force of the explosion. Pierre could already tell that the explosion was indeed from inside, and not by external forces as he originally thought. His first assumption was possibly a warpcore breach or by sabotage. His gut feeling pulling towards the later. Especially since the explosion didn't seem to be consistant with that of a warp core breach. Working at it for the better part of a few hours, Pierre still only had assumptions and not much in the line of hard-core evidence to support his claim. So, he sat back down at the terminal station and decided to get help from higher up. Tapping his comm-badge, Pierre tried the bridge. "This is Ensign Pierre La Toque to the Tactical Officer. I wonder if you can do me a favour and scan the debris perhaps for a log recorder of the Tholian ship's last minutes? Or, anything else for that matter that may help in finding what caused the explosion. Get back to be and thanks in advanced. La Touque out" Pierre then cut the comm and let the Tac officer to do his work whilst Pierre did his. Hoping that they could come up with some kind of solution.
  4. "Bidding Adeiu" Log entry 01: SD 10504.23 Murray finished his meal and got up. He looked at Pierre. “Well, it’s been great chatting with you. I’ve got to go and start packing for my trip.” Pierre got up from his table. "Well then goodbye and goodluck Monsoir Murray" Pierre replied in his heavily accented English. He waved goodbye to the Lieutant as he headed out of the door. Pierre finished the last of his Chicken Kiev and sipped the remaining wine in his glass. After placing the diner leftovers in the processing bin, Pierre decided to head to his quarters to rest for the day. For the most part, Pierre was glad that he and Scherer got so far on the probe, proving that whomever tampered with it definately was not Klingon, but rather a cheap facsimile. Pierre descended to his quarters from the messhalll on the turbolift. He got off and entered his small but modest room, plopping down on a standard issue chair. Pierre looked out of a enarby window at the stars streaking by. having just arrived to the Reant from the smaller Steamrunner class USS Des Moines. And as such, Pierre was still trying to adjust to his new life on the bigger Reant. Not only dealing with a new ship, but also with a new crew. As proved evident by Murray and Scherer, the crew of the Reant seemed to have been a friendly amicable bunch. Pierre undid the top buttons of his uniform and sat back in his chair, looking around at his meager personal possessions in his quarters. His cooking tools, (pots pans and whatnot), a French flag, a small collection of French wine and a framed picture of Napoleon, in addition to his clothings and other necesary items. Not much, but.. oh well. Pierre thought to himself. Last he heard, missionwise though, was that the Reant was headed to rendezvous with the USS Grissholm to pick up some Ambassador for their next mission. Of which, Pierre had no idea or was privvy about. Pierre reclined in his chair and turned on his holo-viewer and decided to watch some tube.
