  1. Oh...and I just have to point out Grommy: 49'ers: 28 St. Louis: 25 KARMA!
  2. What technology allows, and we as forum moderators allow are different :)
  3. ::pleeding the fifth::
  4. ::notes Hood crew:: Or perferably both, right? ;)
  5. Meh, I stopped watching this season after Pocono. Besides, football started
  6. ::thwaps Images into next week:: I actually watch English League. My friends and I have all picked a team and get togather and watch games during the week wearing our jerseys. I took Sunderland this year, Meh.
  7. Poor Auburn, they really didn't look good tonight. ::ducks:: I like all football, but I am diehard college (again from growing up in the semi-south). In my state there are two 'major' college teams, but only one matters...and that's the one I attended The West Virginia University. We open tomorrow on ABC against Syracuse, should be fun. Let's Go Mountaineers! :P As for the NFL, there is only one team: The Steelers! ::waves terrible towel::
  8. And now for a moment of seriousness. I was watching Hurricane Coverage this evening, and I was completely in awe. I found myself wanting to cry at the sheer devistation and loss of life. They are "offically" unable to estimate the loss of life...just in New Orleans...but experts predict the number to be above 4000, and that's not even counting how many more people will and could die in the coming days in the wake of Katrina. To put that number in perspective, 3100 people died in the September 11 attacks. In the spirit of good will and humanity, let's keep posting postive about the situation. There will be plenty of time to second guess what has occured, but for now those involved need a positive message of hope from those of us fortunate enough to not have lived through this horrible ordeal. Normally, I don't post things like this, but I feel compelled. Please, do what ever you can to aid the families and victims of this crisis. During the tsunmai, America showed incredible fortitude and leadership in helping, now it's our turn to take that same fortitude and leadership helping in our country. I looked at the pictures of New Orleans and Mississippi, and I swear, you wouldn't know it was America. It honestly looked like a third world country. Once again, I ask you to remain postive with your messages. Please remember those from our own community that were involved in the crisis in your thoughts and prayers. And if your able, give a little to the charity orginizations now involved in the recovery operations. Thanks, N'Dak's Player
  9. Congrats Mike Fannon!!! The Lebowski and N'Dak Show would like to wish him many more exciting adventures in STSF!! Good Luck in the fleet! -Lebow and N'Dak
  10. cob-webs
  11. Gar...so is Day! (Can't believe I left out my own co-host...twice!)
  12. Ummm we've had this conversation about "unofficial" academy sims (I just tried digging it up, but couldn't find it). Just ask Tovan sometime about the AA :D
  13. ::snickers:: For a small explination, your gas price is relative to, among other things, the ease to which transportation to the area is from the major refineries. :) Also remember that some states have higher or lower or none at all in the gas tax department. My state, WV has a 9/10 cent gas tax. And I just looked today, gas went up over night to 2.59. :P
  14. :) It wasn't me...actually we wouldn't even have to trace the IP...all we'd have to do is look at your posts because it displays the poster's IP ;)
  15. We know all :) ;) (and it wasn't me!)
  16. ::looking at the close topic button:: Let's all simmer down. I think it's a cute and cheesy way to announce a 'milestone.'
  17. ::smirks:: I stand corrected, I figured it absorbed energy in some way, that would make sense for calling it ablative..just wasn't sure of the proccess ;)
  18. If you mean ablative armorer from DS9, it works just like any other armor works  If you mean from Voyager...it works the same way only that was some weird generated crap. :D
  19. Lo'Ami is correct. ... Another way to detect a cloaked vessel is by homing in on Neutron Surges. But you have to be almost right on top of said cloaked vessel to detect it...unless your randomly firing phasers  Ablative Armor is exactly that...it protects vessels when their sheilds fail.
  20. Romulan TAC: Commander...I am detecting a large wire being strung accross the Neutral Zone: Romulan Commander: Au have to be kidding me....silly lloann'na....
  21. Tachyon Net. It doesn't really need a lot of ships, just alot of emitters as they have a Tachyon Net along the entire Neutral Zone. And for the record, phasers and exploding comm badges and tricorders would all work for the last question.
  22. You all take this too serious
  23. Not to mention if you replaced TL's with sight to sight transports, you would: a) need a good deal more of computer space for all the work it would require  and nearlly a whole deck dedicated to pattern buffers to store everyone's patterns
  24. Happy Birthday
  25. I couldn't have said it any better myself. Remember it is always best if your unsure to PM the GM. ;)
