  1. Lt. Erias Personal Back Log Entry Home, now, was just a few hundred light years away. Anari took the transport back towards Earth; her parents may be waiting for her, and no doubt the science directory, wondering what took her so long. Back in that time, Arcadia wasn’t too far away either. She wandered around the transport to a window, sat down and gazed upon the warping stars. How long could she hide it? How long could she hold back the thought? She didn’t intend to leave her post for long, but she didn’t know the extend of her mentor’s ailment. The old teacher, also a retired ambassador, was old. How old exactly she didn’t know, Vulcans have the habit of not telling you their age. She the transport near her destination, she continued to wonder. She only had been assigned to Arcadia for less than a year; maybe her friends are still in training, more extensive. Maybe some were still here. Her hopes brightened. Only a year and something was able to drag her from deep space all the way back to Earth. What in her mind did “Assignment” mean? “We’re arriving at Sky Harbour Aegis, passengers designated for this destination please proceed to the air lock, we’ll be refuelling and will resume our journey to Earth in one hour. Guests are permitted to leave the ship but must return by the deadline or you will be staying.” The intra-ship communications said. Staying or take a walk around the promenade. I’ll stay. She decided. The stars are prettier from the view she was sitting at.
  2. Lt. Erias Personal Back Log Entry A Trill freighter landed on the platform and a Starfleet uniformed person stepped out. The aft door to the freighter closed with a hiss. The freshly on-leaved Anari Erias made her way back to her home. The door was open, she wondered why but entered it nevertheless. She thought about the possibilities of what her homecoming greeting would be like, warm with hugs and kisses? Or with harsh criticism from her mother while her father tried helpless to defend her. Or would there be bad news that they both have been killed in a traffic accident… She sighed deeply, wondering of all the places she could have visited, before heading to Earth for official business matters, and she decided to go home. “Hello? Anyone home?” She called out, fearing what might come next. But no answer came, but a small rustling that came with the wind. The window was open. “Hello? Mom? Dad? Uncle?” She again called out. This time, a response. “Yes, yes I’m coming …” It was an elderly voice that she did not remember, or haven’t heard in ages. But it was familiar and had a familiar tonation to it. It couldn’t be, she thought. “Grandpa?” She impulsively blurted out. “ ‘Grandpa’?” The elderly man squinted at Anari’s face. “ Ari?” He said in the traditional Trill. She recognized this name, it was her nickname, and she smiled and held up her grandfather’s hands. “Yes, I’m here. Where are mom and dad?” Grandpa Erias coughed and went into the kitchen to get two cups. Although he was of 78 years of age, he moved quickly freely with out trouble. If you ignored his coughing, you might have mistaken him for her uncle. “Come, Ari, parents went to see you, they went to Earth.” He placed the cups with warm tea in it on the table. “I wonder, why are you here?” “Oh, I was heading to Earth after I disembarked from Arcadia but I decided I wanted to see family. Oh, they must …” She trailed off. “They are, they miss you, and so do I. Lucky me, you thought of home.” Grandpa Erias smiled slowly. The two of them had tea and talked. Soon she felt right where she left off, home. Just the way she left it. “You are tired, Ari. I see days have been long.” He raised his finger as if to point but stopped and stood up. “You know where your room is.” She smiled. Home was just the way she left it.

  4. Joint Log Entry Planet Side Risa Power Plant Alpha-5 By Kestra And Anari SD 0505.14 Anari and Kestra made their way through the streets of Risa towards the nearest power plant station. As they moved away from the resort areas, they found themselves alone. Anari looked at Kestra. "Reminds me of ghost towns." Kestra shook her head in disbelief. "Just a couple of days ago people were everywhere. Everything was perfect." Anari looked around and nodded. "I'll take your word for it, I never visited here in my life time. How long have you been transported here?" "I arrived here about a week ago. It’s my first time being here, but I was so anxious about being posted to the Arcadia that I didn’t really enjoy Risa." She stopped and leaned down to clear some debris blocking their path. Anari stooped down to help. "Ah, well, let me the first to say 'welcome aboard' as soon as we find a ship for ya." Anari tried to make light of everything in spite of what had transpired. Of course it wasn't working. "Bad joke." Kestra didn’t know how to respond. "So how long have you been on board the Arcadia?” She moved to the left. “We need to head this way," she added, glancing at her open tricorder. Anari followed. The power plant building was just ahead a few meters, its surface battered and dusty with age. She felt strange also, remembering suddenly and vividly her long leave of absence, her former mentor being ill and of Starfleet’s science section's messy investigations. "I've been aboard the ship for around 8 months; I took a leave of absence after that and returned a few months ago. Then she was destroyed ..." Kestra couldn't imagine what Anari was feeling right now. The Arcadia had never been “her ship.” The uncomfortable silence was broken when they arrived at the entrance of the building and walked inside. The building had been humming with activity when Kestra had seen it just two days ago. Now as they entered, she saw lights flickering on control panels in an attempt to get the attention of people who weren't around. Anari and Kestra made their way to the equipments locker. "Looks like people left in a hurry. I wouldn't be surprised." Anari picked up a sealed power cell and examined it while Kestra scanned it with her tricorder. She nodded to Anari. "This one's still good. We're going to need more than that though. If we don't find what we need in the lockers, we may have to start stripping panels." Anari had no choice but to agree. "I think we will probably have to reverse engineer this entire section." They set to work searching for more power cells, plasma relays, transmitters and frequency modulators. Kestra winced with every component she pulled out. Some other engineer had logged hours on the careful maintenance of these systems. And here she was, destroying their work. After awhile, she looked over at the supplies they had gathered and ran through the components in her mind. "I think we've gotten pretty much what we can from this power station," she called out to Anari. Anari bagged the components into a duffle bag that she had found in the supply closet and went back to the console where Kestra was working. "I think so. Now we wait for the guys to get transportation and we'll be on our way to a communications relay. I hope you're feeling better; its not a nice feeling to know that the ship you applied for just blew up and you have no idea what is going on .... " She sighs. "The universe is not a safe place." Anari sat down and placed her head into he lap. Kestra tried to lighten the mood. "They left this out at the Academy," she joked. Then she sighed and sat down next to Anari. "I've seen wounded people before. Practically everyone in my family is in the medical field; I've grown up around it. But everything here on Risa … nothing felt real. When it all started happening I felt like I was in one of the simulations at the Academy." She got quiet. "I didn't know it would be like this." "In real life, every one is required to face all possibilities. In the academy it always had been simulations. This is real." Anari coughed. "This is really real." She raised her head. "I hear movement; I think the guys are back." She stood up and held her hand to Kestra. "Welcome aboard, nice to meet you." Kestra rose and returned the handshake. This was only her first day with the Arcadia. She couldn't even imagine what the rest of her assignment would be like.
  5. Anari Erias Assistant Science Officer USS Arcadia Clouds Of Memories Part I I had taken time off that fall; there was something I needed to get off my chest. I left the Arcadia last fall; I took a ride by a Vulcan freighter that was heading to Earth. Right, it was only fall on Earth. It might have been eternal summer on Vulcan or harsh winter in another obscured planet in the galaxy … universe. I had remembered why I suddenly ran off to pursue a quest on my own, without the help from any one, not my commanding officers or my department chief. There were the people that I missed on Earth, my old academy instructors, my old science lecturers in the science academy and of course, my old Vulcan mentor. Past four years of training and studying with those people had burned into my memory that I could not forget. And I couldn’t just lie there and do nothing while my old mentor, the person I’ve known since seven, became ill. There was of course my mother and father who I haven’t talked for some time now. I left Arcadia because memories deep within my mind now surfaced. I stepped off the freighter at Star Base 001 and transported to the old science academy. After bringing my resignation paper work to the personnel office I checked in and was assigned to be an instructor technician in the science academy. It was a sad feeling that I had, leaving Arcadia. It was even harder to not be depressed about leaving my only home in the stars, leaving all the people that I knew so well and the people that I worked with every day. I stepped out and looked at the sky that day. It was clear, though with some cloud covering, but it was blue and clear. The air smelled good, the scenery looked good. I was glad to be … no, it was not my true home, my parents did not live here, it couldn’t be my home. But it still had a nice aura about it. ------- It was getting dark on the plague planet, but the clouds were still visible. I walked with Dr. Sasbas towards the compound that held the entire medical staff and a few engineers. We slipped into the compound and every thing was in mere madness, the clouds above took me away to the memories that I had, but this was the present, time was short I had snap out of it. Back to reality …
  6. By: Erias and Sas Jointlog SD 10503.23 Anari sat by a tree, looking at the samples she and Sas had already collected. The wilderness looked green, which was about it. Everything was very uneventful, the surroundings were very quiet, and the noise present was the squawking that birds made as they flew overhead. Sas loved being outdoors. She looked at the scenery then at the weird collection of the red plant they collected. “Can’t wait to get readings on it. Anari what do you think of that red plant, sure is different, isn't it?” "Yes, it's ... red." Anari studied the plant, prodding its leaves with a toothpick, which she had in her science kit. “Don't prod it too much we don't know what it is. Maybe it is responsible for the plague.” Anari stopped prodding the plant at once and placed it back into its container. Replacing the toothpick with a scanner in her hand, she scanned the plant to see what it actually was. Sas watched Anari scanned plant while she took readings on Anari. “How do you feel Anari?” Sas asked while continuing the scans. "I feel fine." Anari looked back at Sas, who was taking a reading of her. "Um ... how about you?" "I feel great even though I was close to it I think." Sas looked back at Anari "Why are you looking at me like that?" "What do you mean?" Anari looked back to the scan results of the plant. "That's how I look at every one else, if I don't look at you how would I know you're there?" "True but you had me going there. Thought maybe I was growing an extra ear or something since I was concerned about you poking the plant when I was the one who climbed and got it." Sas puts tricorder down "Well you check out fine." Anari looked back at Sas, still a little bit confused. "Oh ... well you don't have an extra ear growing ... I was just asking if you felt anything abnormal. Do you?" "No I am fine for now anyways. Do you feel like continuing our expedition now?" Sas looked at Anari, she wanted to see more of the outdoors. Anari closed her tricorder and nodded. "Sure, this plant checks out fine, its harmless for now. Lets keep going." Anari placed the plant container into her science kit and stood up. "Which way?" Sasbas looked to the right and points that way. "How about we head to the right there seems to be a hill there lets see what's up and over shall we??" "Okay right it is." Anari nodded and began walking. Sas followed Anari, smiling to herself. "Well lets go to the top of the hill and see what is up and over it" Sas Said. Anari nodded and began to climb the hill. "Hope there's something over there." As Sas climbed up the hill she looked over at Anari "There has to be, I just have a gut feeling that we will find something. Besides nothing ventured, nothing gained" Sas laughed lightly. As they headed up the hill Anari smiled and nodded. "Right!" The science and medical officers continued their expedition up the hill to see what wild and exotic plant and animal life grew there and hopefully to uncover a source leading to a cure of the plague.

She enjoys biology and chemistry branches of science mainly but also have a keen understanding of physics on the quantum level. With fondness towards solving problems, Anari is usually distracted by problems easily and she would have to solve the problem she is working on currently inorder to move on to the next. Even though she is a fully compatible trill for a symbiont, she refuses to test for self for one, particularly because she dislikes the idea of blending emotions and knowledge together that would in turn make herself indistinguishable from the other personalities. After her Leave of Absence was resolved, due to some matters that were fairly important to her, she returned to Arcadia to continue her duties as Science officer. End of File

  9. Lt. (Jg) Erias Assistant Science Log Entry Sat at the back scanner's console on the thought-sensitive vessel, Anari Erias concentrated her thoughts on Lo'Ami and the rest of the team in the power plant, she opened her eyes and saw the team and the enemy, in a form of red dots and green ones. Red for enemy, green for friendy, she gathered. The small but powerful ship slide with little sound through the air as it made its way towards the powerplant, Jaruq, Jacob, Fitz and herself were aboard to the rescue of another away team. On Anari's boards there were 6 humanoids with 6 arms each as dots. She thought hard to get a accurate sensor reading and scanned again, yes there were 6 of them alien guards. She made another pass of busy fingers through the board. Lo'Ami, Dana Quest, David Quest, Holden, Peyton and others. (I say others cause i forget who the others were heh heh sorry ...) they were in danger, three of them were separated from the main group and red dots all around them, there were weapon discharges and debris flying around. The ship noticed the Trill's troubled thoughts but it was helpless to help her to do what she wanted to do. Which was impossible anyways. The ship maintained its course for the powerplant, with Jaruq at the helm and Jacob at the weapons station, Fitz at a Engineering console and her self at the sensors they were going to rescue them. Anari shifted in her seat and tapped upon the blinking board again, although she was skeptical about their chances and about the ship's offensive capabilities she knew the other team will be rescued. The ship seem to notice these thoughts as well, as she felt assurance for some unknown reason. Perhaps she was really connected with the small ship in a unknown way but she was sure and on target. To the rescue! She thought as the tiny ship shrieked towards the powerplant.
  10. Lt. (jg) Nemesis and Lt. (jg) Erias Science officers A joint log Anari sighed at her thoughts and looked around, the science staff were silent and the other officers were murmuring among themselves, the room looked grim. Nemesis still stood there his anger was slowly going away but was still evident in his stature. Anari finially saw the black smoldering soot lying there with many pairs of eyes staring at it, hers included. She wiped her forehead and adressed Nemesis. "Did he ... " She said adressing the black remains as well. "Did he what!" Nemesis snapped at Anari, and then he realized who it was "Yes, he did ... die" He answered. Anari blinked at Nemesis, what she thought was right he was angry, very angry. "I'm sorry ... I ... " Her voice wandered, could she blame him? His friend sacrificed himself for the others, yet he's angry. "Do you require something Lt?" Nemesis said to her in a very rude tone. "He was your friend ... I'm sorry ... " She trailed off again and looked back at the pile of black soot" The smoke was dissipating but the vivid emotions hung thick in the air around the room, the tone of Nemesis' voice was hinting all of it. "He was, but now he is no more." Nemesis said glaring with hateful eyes towards the soot that was once Seiben. Anari glanced at the Monkien, who evidently looked as if he was going to explode soon. "Are ... Are you ok?" "That is not your concern Lt." Nemesis snapped at her "Again is there something you want?" Anari nodded her condolences and looked away. "No there isn't ... Thank you any ways ..." She had the answers now, about what had happened, the protomatter and Seiben's death it wasn't hard to connect those two things together, especially when that black smoldering pile was there for all too see. "Then do not waste my time" Nemesis told her as he looked away from her and went back to staring at the soot. "ok ... " She replied silently, she wasn't going to disturb him now, she walked away hoping to let Nemesis' emotion calm and hopefully he would come to terms with his friend's death.
  11. Lt. (Jg) Erias Assistant Science Log Entry Anari stood on the surface of Axaia, only moments after she had came to, what had happened? She didn't know but it seems that the other officers were grimly faced, especially the science department. Loami was standing there, staring at something, Nemesis was nearly red faced. Anger? She thought but she couldn't put a finger on it. She rubbed her head and shook the dizziness off, the other officers were whispering to eachother. She over heard a couple of conversations, the most commonly mentioned name was "Seiben" or "Hansel". She wrinkled her nose and overheard something else. "Why did he sacrifice himself." She felt confused, but she resisted against raising an eyebrow. She looked at LoAmi again, the beard was still but his humor from his face was drained away, or washed away by something else. What could that be? Sorrow? Anger? She didn't know but she was going to get some answers soon. Or she hoped so ...

  14. Lt.(Jg) Erias Assistant Science Log Entry Anari stood by the window with her chief, Cmdr. Lo'Ami and Ens. Lukeini behind them who seemed worried. She watched the wavey splash of colors fade and disappear as the ship came out of fold-space. This, of course, gave new insights of what this ship was capable of travelling through folded space from point A to point B within minutes. And it was only a matter of minutes but those minutes were well spent, secrets of the drive somewhat revealled. But she didn't care for this feat of engineering stature it was pretty. Well at least it was pretty for a few minutes there. The blue had now faded back to a grey black now empty space with few stars shinning in the distance. The clear window now reflected Chief Lo'Ami's face Anari caught sight of it and tried not to laugh or giggle or anything that a Vulcan, in her childhood, had claimed to be emotional. But she couldn't help it, it was a funny sight she never imagined the chief of science to have a beard ... fur ... like this ... well it was just too funny. She lost the control and snickered and looked away. One more like that out of her could mean a talk with the captain later. She shook the image of Lo'Ami out of her head and stopped giggling. She sighed and moved to the bunk beds and sat down relieved that she couldn't see Lo'Ami's face any more, she turned her head else where in search for something to look at while the ship moved to Axaia. She found Ens. Lukeini in her gaze, he had a worried look on his face. What was he thinking. Ahh well it didn't matter I'm a strange person. She thought and glanced at Lo'Ami before she laid down on the bed. A strange thought hit her. He was kind of cute ... she shook her head and forced her eyes shut and repressed any image of Cmdr. Lo'Ami and that beard of his or fur or whatever you call it but the image slipped by with no trouble her quiet composure lost its intergerty and she bursted into laughter ... boy, is she going to get it if she didn't stop. Oh well. She thought. At least he was ... cute.
  15. Lt.(jg) Erias Log Entry SD 10609.17 Anari sat on the bridge science stations though she wasn't paying much attention to the data she saw on the screen. She sat her head on her hand and glanced at the screen and scrolling down, trying to find some data that was going tell them what happened to the Borg, a lone cube stuck in an area of .. no where. She was thinking about them, the Borg, with a set of programs to find and assimilate technology, their sole purpose. She continued to stare at the screen, but after reading these logs for so long, she couldn't feel her arms. She stood up and shook her arm reactivating the bloodflow to her arms and brain then she sat down. She was tired of looking at one boring section of the Borg data, then she delete the data currently placed on the screen and loaded a different padd full of data in to her console. She sighed and scrolled the data yet again. But this section of data was more interesting, it was more detailed it contained encryption data, and encryption protocols. She read every line and learned more about the Borg. Even though the Borg drone was still in the brig it seemed its consciousness was guiding Anari through the Borg data soup. She was being taught by the Borg, she learned more about their assimilation process and drone management. As she read through the data storing whatever she could in her head but it took most of her concentration and energy, she read till the 87th page but that was the end of her effort, it took a long time but she read them. She stood up and wearly carried her collection of padds to the TL and ordered the mess hall, for that moment she cared about nothing else but a bite to eat and relax. The sensors were being repaired, everything was being repaired, those Coalition engineers were repairing the ship. Then the thought occured to her - why? Why? can't our own engineers repair the ship, it is our home! She remembered roughly a week ago she helped Commander LoAmi with the sensor systems and she enjoyed it getting in to engineering messes in fact it was fun. She noted no one was in the TL with her. "It was fun ..." And it was, it felt great to see something that wasn't functioning then you touched it then it functions again, it was great to know that it was you who repaired your home not a bunch of people you just met. It was true, it felt safer, for her, to know that she helped repairs albiet not professionally but it was her own hands, she saw it. She mumbled, trying to grab hold of what she was thinking at the moment, due to exhaustion she still couldn't straight. The TL doors opened and she walked out and proceed to the mess hall. She walked into the mess hall and blinked. It was nearly deserted, perhaps two or three officers were eating. She didn't care how many people were there. She grabed her package of rations and glass of water and sat in a seat close to the windows. Though the thought of coalition engineers taking over their home but the thought of being safe was good to have. For the first time after being assigned to this ship she could finally relax. She watched the strange looking coaltion repair pods darting around from the window and sighed. Yes. She thought. She could finally relax but how long would this peace last? According the lessons she'd learned in the past, not long. There will always be dangerous times ahead, the cost of being on a starship, the danger of being lost so easily. She turned her attention to the rations and began to eat her "Dinner", she didn't care if it was rations and bread and water, it was peaceful and that thought was enough. She ate her food in peace.
  16. Lt(jg) Erias Science officer SD 10406.12 It has been a confusing and stressful week. Anari thought. She thought getting that tranceiver data would be a easy task and quick. But it turned out to be other wise. Anari stood looking at her quarters. Everything was not where they were suppose to be, the picture frame, the desk and the closet. She took a seat at her bed and sighed. She looked down at the padd with the needed data, remembering what it took to get it. She remembered the look on Dr. Telano's face, no, the feature of the face was enough. That face, pale and grey, just like the drone's face. He was no doubt being assimilated. She remembered the Drone, the security officers were doing their best to disable it, and eventually knocked it down. She wondered, at that time what was going through the Borg's head as it saw beams of phaser fire hit its Exoarmour or when a security officer tackled it. The Borg had done almost nothing to stop the officers only tried to assimilate Mr. Anderson. John, it almost got him. She thought remembering the assimilation tubes ready to puncture Mr. Anderson's neck. She felt her own neck, afriad that a few stray nanoprobes might be digging into her skin and turning her into one of them. But she was too tired, forgetting things and her head hurt, she placed the padd down and let her self fell into the softness of her bed. She needed rest, albeit only a little, but it would be enough. She fell asleep, forgetting the Borg, the ship, only thought on her healing.
  17. Lt(jg) Erias and Lt(jg) Nemesis a joint log SD 10406.12 Nemesis finally made it to his quarters, he had hardly been there in the past few days, due to the troubles the Arcadia had been in lately. He fed Mini-Me who was showing signs of stress due to the tossing about he had been through, in the Arcadias many rough periods. His health was still good, even though the quarters he was staying in were little more then a tattered mess. Anari steps off the TL and walked towards Nemesis' quarters, She was stressed she had, in a week dealt with a transwarp conduit, a Borg drone and Borg logs and a near brush with assimilation. She walked to Nemesis' quarter's door and pressed the chime. Nemesis noted the door chiming. He opened the door noticing it was Anari. "Some I can do for you Lt.?" "Um… Are you busy? Sir?" she asked quivering. "No, not at the moment." Nemesis replied back as Mini-Me hopped on his shoulder. "Well, you're the closest one that i consider a friend, we could maybe just talk about things?" She asked "Most certainly" Nemesis stepped back to allow Anari to enter the room. Anari enters the room and looked around, indeed it was messy. "That Borg is still in the brig..." "Oh yes the Borg" Nemesis pulls over a chair for her to sit in. "Is that why you wanted to talk? Nervous over the Borg?" Anari sits down. "Thank you. Yes that Borg ... after seeing Doctor Telano, I couldn't help imaging if it was me instead" She paused then went on. "Or any one officers aboard" "Yes, could very well have been. That’s one of the troubles with life, could be over at anytime." "It almost got John..."" "Yes, but it didn't. Don't worry about John he is a strong willed person." She lets the current events sink into her memory then nods. "Yes he is. That's about all the things that bothers me right now, its not every day you have a Borg running around in sickbay while security officers trying to tackle it" "That’s a good thing." Nemesis give pets Mini-Me "It's a rare occurrence, we may handle a lot of dangerous things in our work but it usually works out with us. Anari nods and stands up. "Well, its good talking to you again I better start analyzing this Borg stuff." She looks around. "Your quarters looks just like mine." She smiled "You must have great decorating skills then" Nem replies with a smile "Nice seeing you again Lt. goodluck" Anari nods and steps out of Nemesis' quarter and walks towards her own messy quarters End log
  18. Lt (Jg) Anari Erias "One Day in a drone's Life" Anari looked over the various sequences and codes in the log in the padd, she was tried, and also tired of all that code in the log. The log looked like chucks of detailed codes which she understood vaguely but yes she understood it, but there is so many of it. It made her Head spin. Fortunately for her, She had an Ally to battle this padd of logs, Lt. Lucy Lang. "Does the borg had to be this detailed?" she asked no one in particular, hoping no one would have heard her. But she knew the borg are this detailed, down to the last nanosecond, the queen wanted all the details. Which species to assimilate, their technological time period, the type of technology that is worthy of assimilation, catagory of assimilation, directory for assimilation, method of assimilation and time of assimilation ... the list went on, seemly non-stop, this was Borg life, albeit a Boring one. Perhaps that is why they were named .. the Borg cause they're Boring. She giggled at her own joke. She flipped through the imaginary pages on the padd, more codes begun to show themselves, and this time they were more informative. This cube was strucked and surrounded by an Ion storm, something the Borg had not fully adapted to, when they engaged Transwarp coil, the equation misfired and they were thrown here. She was shocked at finding this information. Were we thrown here by accident or did the Borg want us to be here? She thought, her mind shivverd. If this was the case then the Borg may try to ... Take over the ship. But when she talk about it more, the more she calmed. The Borg cube was far away now. And the ship is being towed towards Paktar, she felt safe thinking about Paktar, though she knew so little about this place, it was a warm thought that it was still safer than a Borg cube. She turned her attention to that Borg complexity Subspace tranceiver, she and Lt. Lang needed the model to perform simulated Ion storm upon it, to solve if they Borg cube was really dead .... She stood up and nodded to the bridge officers and entered the TL. "Computer, sickbay" The Lift closed and went down. To where? To sickbay, to examine ... the Borg, and hopefully, gather some answers on their whereabouts for the Chief ...
  19. Ens. Erias Science officer's log "Deep in the subconscious" SD 10405.37 Anari stood in the turbolift after taking Lt. Nemesis' order to go to sick bay. She stood there, at a lost for words and a way to come to terms with the current events. She reflected back to what was happening; they went through a Borg Transwarp Conduit, and thrown to an area of space, an abandoned cube on their door step, away teams were sent to gather material to repair the ship. And communication contact between the away teams were not avaliable at the moment. The turbolift opened and Anari stepped out, and walked towards sickbay. Months ago, Arcadia was a magnificent starship, now, a bucket of bolts with wiring sticking out of the place. She eventually found what was left of sickbay and entered it. Doctors were busy, with their nurses at their sides, healing the wounded, the sick. Still lost, she stood aside and waited for her turn. She thought hard, but somehow, it was exhausting to think, and soon her brain no longer tolerated the thinking. However, she did caught a glimce of her thinking. Deep down in her subconscious she discovered something about herself. She saw the Borg cube, in her head, and many images of past academy seminars about the Borg, cybernetic devices planted throughout the biological host. I'm afraid .... She thought. I was afraid, i am still afraid. She was afraid, but of what? and who? Was it the Borg? Or the Romulans? She laughed, people in sickbay glanced at the young ensign with disbelief. Why was she laughing? And why was she so afraid? She laughed again and shook her head. There it was again, that image of a fireball, but this time she did not catch herself running. No, No, I'm not afraid, ha ha, I'm NOT afraid. She retorted to herself. Romulans, the Borg, you can both take my life away from me but you won't have my piece of mind, my thinking, my ... soul. Was that the true voice courage that she heard herself say? She didn't know, whatever it was, it was exhausting. Punctual as always, the headache resettled and Anari stared blindly at a plaque on the sickbay wall, awaiting her checkup.
  20. Ensign Erias "Stretching in to the Unknown" SD 10405.23 Anari tapped her console twice and brought up a crude image of the surroundings fed by the main deflector. She looked to the main screen, noting it was staring deep in to space, the deep unknown. She felt uneasy, the ship had crude sensor for now but they were still blind and dead in space. The Great unknown, The Borg. She thought, knowing the away teams that have had been heading towards the cube and even aboard the cube. She took mind off of the Sensors for a moment and reflected on a report in the academies. The Borg, Cybernetic creatures, made up of different species, they live for one reason, to assimilate other cultures. The voice of the report boomed in her head. She looked around the bridge, Captain Moose rigid, Dr. Telano standing there, and other various officers doing their duty. She noted that Commander Jaruq and Commander Dacotah were not present. She knew they were on the Borg cube. She suddently remembered the recent turn of events more clearly now. The ship was traveling through a Borg conduit, The ship has been shot at by the Romulans and away teams were "Salvaging" the Borg technologies. Her head blistered internally with pain but she didn't care. All She wanted to do was perform her duty well. She looked back at the deflector grid and the crude sensors and saw something Peculiar. The Main computer core is flood with information. She looked up at Lt. Garnoopy, who tapped rapidly, no doubt discovered the same strange occurance. She looked up at the big screen. What's happening now ... She thought and waited for the Great Unknown to show it self ... and waited ...
  21. Ens Anari Erias SD 10405.08 "Taking one step back into Reality" Chaos. What is chaos? By definition, Chaos means the condition or state or being or place of disorder and confusion. Disorder and Confusion. That was the terms experienced in her mind. Voices buzzing like insects beating their wings together. Images of different colors and textures blurred whenever she opened her eyes. Was this by definition chaos? The last memory Anari had was that blurred image of a flicker when her console overloaded and coughed then died. Before that last image, was there another chaos? Of course. The ship, Arcadia, was in chaos. Between this moment and when she heard swarming voices and saw the images of blurred yellow, red, green starfleet uniforms, she had no memory of whats being passed. Was Arcadia still a ship? Or was she resting in pieces. She didn't know. All she saw on the screen was the streaks of blue flashes inside the subspace passage. She heard a familiar voice, Lo'Ami's and attempted to locate the source, but the noise of insects in the background prevented her from that. Her head swung to the side, only catching a blur of Lo'Ami's face before collapsing on to her console. She sat there, like a inert piece of rock. She saw her self, aboard another ship, a small one. She saw her self laugh with two other officers, she remembered them, childhood friends, in a flicker, those images were gone and she saw herself running away, away from what? Chaos. She saw the brilliant ball of fire overtook the girl and she never seen again. Another flash of light and she saw her self on board the Arcadia, standing in a dark corridor, the alarms were blaring, red lights flashing. She saw herself standing there, inert, cold. Engineers ran past her, shouting to her, but still, she stood there. Meanwhile in the present, she's been taken into sickbay, blurred images continued to project it self as the insect buzzing patterns played in the background. The Engineers and security officers shouted again. Anari stood, dumbfound. The officers gave up and ran to tend to their duties. The surroundings shook, she fell to her kneels and that bright ball of fire shreaked through the corridor, past the engineers, vaporizing them, then it came after Anari. She saw self standing up and ran, she saw clearly the passing deck and location labels. Then she felt her had turn. There it was, as real as life, the fire overtook her again. She felt something, something warm, real, alive, and tried desperately to grab hold of it, but all her hand did was nudged it. The hand, Doctor Bj's hand, he knew Anari was still there, under all that burning rubble and chaos, she was still alive. She found herself again, in her subconscious creation of a canyon, the fire ball of chaos screaming behind her, getting close. She knew what she had to do and step to the edge and waited. She felt her eye lids opening, she couldn't control, she didn't need to control it. Her subconscious was fighting the chaos, and winning. Anari's eye lids opened fully now but she only saw a vague impression of the surroundings and standing in front of her was Doctor Honeycutt, someone familiar, someone real, someone that is in the reality. She saw herself, in the subconscious again staring down at the steep canyon, she smiled and jumped. She took her first step back into reality.
  22. ::shurgs:: maybe i wanna take nap now ..
  23. Ens Anari Erias SD 10405.04 "A flicker" Anari sat at her science station on the bridge, chaos was forming as a Romulan Warbird decloaked and fired. A flicker, Arcadia groaned as Romulan weapons smashed into her shields and hull. The bridge shook with the ship. Anari sent the 17 tachyon sequences to Garnoopy's console, hoping they'd find the correct one before there isn't a ship left to take through. Minutes seemed like seconds. A flicker, a spark, Arcadia fired the first tachyon sequence. The conduit registered as "idle" on Anari's Console. Attempted failed. Displayed the computer and Anari shook her head. Arcadia shook lightly as a plasma bolt smashed into her shields. A flicker, a loud bang, a flash of light, Arcadia viberated violently, another tachyon sequence was fired at the borg conduit. The Conduit registered as "idle" on Anari's console. Attempted failed. Displayed the computer and again She shook her head. Romulan ship was now on top of Arcadia, slowly dishing out damage to the federation vessel. A flicker, a gasp, a loud bang, a crash. Arcadia's super structure shook under the stress, another pulse was discharged from the main deflector. The Transwarp Conduit refused to open. Attempt Failed. The computer said with out emotion. Anari felt her heart sank deep. What if we will never open this thing. She thought. A flicker, an explosion, a scream, a louder bang. Arcadia gave all she's got drifting ever slowly away from the Romulan warbird, her warp core faking a breach. Romulan's sensors detected that and thought with precision. A flicker, a sigh of relief, consoles overload, a shout of orders. The Romulan warbird disengaged her attack upon the helpless Federation ship. Arcadia's warp core shouting warnings of its destruction. The Warbird turned and ran the other way. Another pulse was fired. One, two, three, four. A flicker, an implosion, the computer beeped. The Borg conduit sprang to life. Computer registered the conduit as active, all of its internal processing systems was triggered, residual tachyon emission frequencies recorded. Attempt succeeded, borg transwarp conduit active. The computer's monotoned voice came through her console. The conduit opening flashed. A flicker, decks decompress, a flash of bright light Arcadia Hastily flew into the opening of the conduit. Anari's console registered sensor failures on the port side of the ship. She felt something dripped past her eyes and on to her console, she looked down. It was red. She glanced around the bridge, people on the ground, people staring at the screen. Time seemed slowing to her. A flicker, a lightshow, the ship sailed violently through the transwarp conduit, the superstructure creaked and groaned under the gravitational sheering force. Time seemed an eternity, 1 second, 2 seconds, 3 seconds seemed to be hours, even days. Anari stared at the screen along with every one else, the patterns of streaks passing seemed mesmerizing, Anari felt its hypotic powers. A flicker, a creak, a groan the ship passed more streaking patterns, sparks and explosions seemed never ending. Anari clasped her head in the confusion of her senses. She couldn't think, she didn't know what was happening, time stood still. She sat there, consciousness wavering. A flicker, a shout, Arcadia groaned. Time seemed at a stop now. Anari's vision seemed to be collapsing, edges of her vision converging towards the center, slowly. An hour? A day? A week? She thought to her self, what seemed to be a hour's journey seemed like decades. A console sparked beside her, she turned her head. The spark flew almost at nonexistant speed. Then it all seemed to stand still ... A flicker, a loud shouting came towards her, hands still held her head, her vision completely collasped and she felt into the blackness of space as Arcadia flew through the conduit at warping speeds. Her head laid at her station unconsiously. A flicker. A flicker. A flicker. A flick was all she remembered.
  24. happy birthday again :)
  25. BAH!!! ... that means, we don't recruit around here.
