  1. Okay, I was supposed to have sent this out a few weeks ago, but real life has been real hectic for me. 1940, 8th June Earth, Germany Juhdia brought his bi-wing in for landing, the landing was sluggish to say the least. This is why he came to see his friends, Walter and Reimar Horten. These two Luftwaffe officers and brothers were the best Germany had to offer. Juhdia, now known as General Reihard Heydrich, had been an avid flyer since his days with his friends, another set of brothers, who brought the world the airplane. As Juhdia walked from his plane to find either Walter or Reimar, he noticed an easel by the hanger. Juhdia looked it over, on the easel were diagrams for a new type of plane, something he had never seen before. It had large wings and no propellers. Yes the Reich was busy working on new fighter crafts, as were the Allied forces, but this was far beyond and thing he had seen from stolen plans. Juhdia mused at the designation of this plane, HO I. Soon, Reimar came to notice Juhdia. "Reihard, good to see you." Reimar walked to Juhdia and clasped his hand, "I see you noticed our latest work." Juhdia looked over the diagrams again, "Impressive, but I do not see the propellers. How does the propulsion system work?" Juhdia listened as Reimar talked. Juhdia rubbed his chin as Reimar spoke and when Reimar finished. "Tell me Reimar, how soon can you and Walter can start production?" "Not anytime soon, but we should have a finished model with in the next three years." Juhdia would never get to see the finished product first hand. But he would see the B1 Stealth bomber that was inspired by the HO IX. 7 months ago USS Morningstar, Gamma Quadrant Juhdia woke up in his quarters, as he looked at his bed there was something missing. Angus his pet Denubian Ferret was no longer with him. The poor creature was now locked away on Camelot in the stations zoo. Not so much as an animal kept as an exhibit much like zoos some 400 years ago on earth, but for safe keeping as the Morningstar was not meant to house pets. Juhdia got up, showered and dressed for duty. While he ate breakfast he worked on his little project, his little secret errand. It was a project Juhdia, now known as Lt Crispin Warren Xavier, had been mulling over for some time. The Morningstar carried a compliment of fighter crafts, but they lacked something in his opinion. As did the Morningstar itself. The Excalibur came equipped with a Cloaking Device, and it served the Excalibur well, till the stunt pulled by Commander Corizon. Causing the Excalibur to be damaged to what seemed like beyond repair. But the Excalibur was one of the few exceptions to the Treaty of Algeron. No, for what Juhdia had planned it would have to be different. Then he remembered the HO IX, and the Philadelphia Experiment from the 1940's. Stealth was not against the treaty. But how to update Stealth technology to current technological standards? "Multi-Phasic technology. That is it!" 5 months ago Camelot station, Gamma Quadrant Juhdia entered the Holodeck and entered a special program he had been diligently writing for the past few months. The silver walls changed to that of an old German airplane hanger. There before him was the skeleton of a HO IX. Then he said an access code and the plane before him changed to the shell of a Type 10 Shuttle craft with a narrower front. And the parts for the HO IX changed to parts of a fighter craft. Then with another access code, wings materialized next to the shuttle frame and the propulsion pods disappeared. This was his secret little errand. A new fighter craft, one that featured a Multi-Phasic Stealth field emitter. Present day Avalon Alpha Site, Gamma Quadrant After the final modular section of the Pit had been placed, Juhdia said a few words to the departing Lieutenant Cougar, who was leaving the Engineering department. Then he made his way to a shuttle to take him to Camelot. Once there he made his way to the Holodeck on deck thirty-six. As Juhdia entered he secured the Holodeck with his command code, then he went to the Computer access panel, removed the panel face and took out an isolinear rod and placed it in the coprocessor and closed the panel. "Computer activate program Nehsi H O, alpha nine. Authorization code, epsilon, gamma, one-three-six-zero-five-zero-zero-two, theta omega." "Access granted." The Holodeck changed to the German hanger again. Before Juhdia was a completed HO IX. Then he recited the second access code and the plane changed to the nearly completed fighter craft. The newly designed wings held a micro version of the Defiant Class Armored Pod Warp Nacelles as well as a micro version of the Defiant Class stationary rapid fire Phaser Pulse Cannons, four per wing with two facing forward and two facing aft. So far the wings have been the only true portion of the fighter craft to be completed. Juhdia had more planned, but taking this venture upon himself alone had made things was hard. Juhdia stepped back from the fighter craft. He referred to the fighter craft as 'Her', but he knew it needed a name. "What to name you? What to name you?"
  2. Current repairs to the Excalibur are on the way. We have repaired the hull breech and are seeing to ships systems. A full repair will take place at Camelot. I am commending Ensign Ramson for her performance during the attack. Once Lt Admiran is back, I will have him oversee the final repairs at Camelot.
  3. ((This log actually starts a few weeks ago)) I have long to accomplish a great and noble task, but it is my chief duty to accomplish humble tasks as though they were great and noble. - Helen Keller Juhdia watched as the final placement of the Geothermal power plant was lowered into the large hole, he had dubbed, the Pit. The actual escape tunnels would have to be drilled as each level was constructed. He watched as the geo-stabilizers were placed to help protect against earthquakes. Juhdia mused about if they had this technology back in the 1940's Earth, how they could have made the planned underground facilities that this one was based on. Word had spread that the Romulans were too constructing underground facilities, but that was their concern and not Juhdia's. The Pit was Juhdia's only concern now, or was it. In the back of his mind, there was something else. It had been days since Juhdia had off, working double shifts to make sure everything was going according to plan. They had come across their first problem when the power plant was lowered into the Pit. Sure it fit, but they drilled the housing of the plant to wide, so earth would have to be moved and placed, then set, this would add a day and a half to the scheduled timeframe. "Ah, the wonders of building." Juhdia had expected such delays, he even factored such things into the timeframe, not to make himself look like a miracle worker as was known of many Starfleet Engineers. But to have a real sense of how long this project would take. And now a month and a half was extended by two days. And he knew more days would have to be added, but that's what happens when you build something like this. The other structures were completed and serving their tasks well, but once completed, the Pit would surpass all the current structures built. Or at least Juhdia hoped so. Two weeks have passed and construction was going along, not as well as Juhdia had hoped, but he expected as much. There had been a few problems with the power plant, but that happens when you try to harness the raw forces of nature. "Excuse me, Commander Xavier." Juhdia turned to see Chief DeSoto standing by him, "Yes DeSoto?" "Commander, I have an idea to help reduce time of construction." "Well, let's have it man, you are wasting time just standing there." DeSoto showed Juhdia a PADD, with his idea. "Modular construction? This could reduce construction time by…" DeSoto looked up at Juhdia, "By a week sir. Off my estimates." Juhdia was pleased he had someone like DeSoto on his team, thinking outside the box. With DeSoto's plan of constructing portions of the Pit on the ground, then lowering the modules down by Shuttles and Runabouts, time could be saved and they were one step closer to finishing on time. Maybe even earlier then planned. Juhdia saw to it that DeSoto's plan was put into effect. But Something else weighed deeply on Juhdia's mind. So after 3 long weeks of working double shifts, seven days a week. Juhdia did the unthinkable. He took a break and headed back to Camelot. To work on his other project, his little secret errand. Two weeks later. The Pit has been laid in place and finalization was taking place, with DeSoto's modular plan, a full 10 days had been shaved off the project. Of course materials had added another two days, but no expense was spared and the mass Replicators were working over time. It would take an estimated three weeks before it was complete, but that would be adding the final touches of getting the computer core functioning, as well as the Replicator systems. But the turbolifts were working just fine. Now it was just a matter of time before the Pit was ready. But did they have the time?
  4. Construction of the temporary Alpha Site base had been completed. Headquarters, medical facilities, even defense arrays were in place, and drilling of a permanent base was complete. Now it was just down to actually building the bloody thing. There were enough materials on Camelot to build a few of the levels, but not all nine planned levels the base was to have. With the given time, Juhdia and the others were barely able to construct what was now there. Even if they worked nonstop on the real base it would take a month. Maybe an underground facility was not the best, but it would offer them greater security, as the ground could be laced with material to prevent beaming, and with escape tunnels that could be secured by armed Security, it was the best. For now. The construction was based on old US Military Nuclear Fallout shelter, that were based on underground safe havens that were planned by the Germans during WWII. Juhdia remembered touring one such planned facility back then, but it was never completed. Juhdia looked over the PADD that contained the plans. It was simple enough, not unlike a starship, but it was to be stationary underground and not in the stars. There was an above ground level that would control the planetary-based defenses, with a turbolift that would connect to the underground portion, but would not reach the last two sub levels. That would be reached by a second turbolift shaft that ran the entire sublevels. The first two sub levels would act as civilian housing, offering five hundred living quarters and four galleys. The next sub levels, level three and four would offer five hundred living quarters and four galleys for Starfleet personnel. Sub level 5 would be dedicated to labs and work areas for Science, Medical and Engineering Departments, as well as recreational Holodecks. The sixth sub level would hold the command staff, with housing, offices and a war room. The seventh sub level would be dedicated to supply storage and offer self-contained botanical farming gardens, for a supply of fruits, vegetables, animals and fish. To have the base be self-sufficient should re-supplying not be an option. The eighth and final sub level would house the geothermal power plant. This level will be recessed thirty meters beneath the seventh level, should the power plant be damaged by attack. Base Structure: Ground level One will be three meters high, at twenty meters by thirty meters. This level will also have the main controls for the Phaser arrays and the shuttle landing field. It will also have access to the sub levels one through six by a turbolift. This level will also house the main Security offices and brig. Sub level One will be recessed ten meters below the ground level and will have the ground above it laced with materials that will prevent beaming into the sub levels. This will prevent beaming out, but will contain a series of escape tunnels that will be guarded. The escape tunnels will also contain a series of shielding and automatic Phaser arrays to aid in defense. This sub level will serve as housing for civilians. It is set to house two thousand, with five hundred rooms, eight civilians to a room. In addition to the housing, Sub Level One will hold four galleys, for dinning. These galleys, will offer both a functional kitchen as well as replicators. This sub level will have access to the ground level by a turbolift and will have a second turbolift shaft which offers access to the full underground facility. As well as a series of Jeffries Tubes that connects the entire facility. This level will also house an adjunct Sick Bay. Sub Level Two will be constructed as Sub Level One, but will be recessed one meter below Sub Level One. Sub level Three will be recessed one meter below Sub Level Two and will have the ground around it laced with materials that will prevent beaming into the sub levels. This will prevent beaming out, but will contain a series of escape tunnels that will be guarded. The escape tunnels will also contain a series of shielding and automatic Phaser arrays to aid in defense. This sub level will serve as housing for Starfleet Personnel. It is set to house two thousand, with five hundred rooms, eight Starfleet Personnel to a room. In addition to the housing, Sub Level Three will hold four galleys, for dinning. Sub Level Four will be constructed as Sub Level Three, but will be recessed one meter below Sub Level Three Sub Level Five will be recessed one meter below Sub Level Four. This sub level will house the Medical Labs and Sick Bay. This Sick Bay will be a full compliment Sick Bay, as opposed to the adjunct Sick Bays on Sub Levels One through Four, and Sub Levels Six and Seven. The Science Labs will also be housed on this sub level. In addition to Medical and Science labs, this sub level will offer full Engineering Labs and workshops. Sub Level Six will be recessed one meter below Sub Level Five. This sub level will house the Command structure of the facility. With an active War Room, meeting and briefing rooms. This sub level will also house the command living quarters, one person to a room. Sub Level Seven will be recessed two meters below Sub Level Six. This sub level will house Supply Rooms and Horticulture/Farming Labs. This is the last level accessible by the first turbolift. Sub Level Eight will be recessed thirty meters below Sub Level Seven. This sub level will house the Geothermal Power Plant and Main Engineering. It is accessible by the secondary turbolift and Jeffries Tubes only. This sub level is to be heavily shielded and secured, to prevent sabotage and accidents. Unlike other sub levels, Sub Level Eight will not have escape tunnels, but a series of venting tunnels should the Geothermal Power Plant erupt. Ground Level 1: Defenses (3m 20m x 30m) Sub Level 1-2 : Civilian housing (2.5m 100m x 100m) Sub Level 3-4 : Starfleet housing (2.5m 100m x 100m) Sub Level 5: Science/Medical/Engineering labs/Holodecks (4m 150m x 150m) Sub Level 6: Command (2.5m 40m x 40m) Sub Level 7: Supply/farming (10m 150m x 150m) Sub Level 8: Geothermal power station (8m 50m x 50m)
  5. Use of the new Cloaking Device is proving unique as apposed to the last unit that was aboard the Excalibur. This unit does not require as much power as the last unit as well as it's cloaking capability is superior. However for the time being until it has proven itself in extended use, I will continue to advise that non-essential decks be powered down. I will see what the Science Department can suggest to improving sensors while the Cloaking Device is in use. I have not seen degradation in sensor read out, however the power drain used by the Cloaking Device may interfere with the sensors. As well as the Cloak itself will prove taxing to Federation Sensors, while it is in use.
  6. Re-supply of the Excalibur has begun to commence. I have placed Lt Admiran in charge of seeing to the Excalibur's re-supply. The Romulans have delivered the new Cloaking Device. While the original Cloaking Device is still in storage aboard Camelot, it is of the decision of the Command staff to have a new one placed in the refit of the Excalibur. The over all design of this new Cloaking Device is similar to the unit that was installed in the Excalibur when it arrived in the Gamma Quadrant. So installment was as easy. Thankfully the refit allowed for the installment of a Cloaking Device. Time of installation of the Cloaking Device would have been less should I have used others, but I doubt any other member of the Engineering crew has the familiarity with the Cloaking Device and the Excalibur as I do. I will make it an important factor in the continuing education of both Lt Admiran and Lt Cougar that they understand the Cloaking Device as well as its function aboard the Excalibur. It is nice to have the Excalibur back, even though it has been transformed to more of a warship than the exploration vessel it was meant to be. However desperate times call for desperate measures. After conversations with both Lt Admiran and Lt Cougar, I have come to the conclusion that while both men can make the needed life or death decisions that come with command; however they still need to experience Command. I will spend the next few months seeing to the training of these two men, should the need arrive that one of them to take command of Excalibur's Engineering Department.
  7. Reports have been made and logged. As of now Weapons, Shields, Sensors and Propulsion systems are operating at 100%. Lieutenant Admiran has been placed in charge of all communications to and from the Bridge. During the upcoming battle, he will act as eyes and ears for Main Engineering. Lieutenant Cougar and Lieutenant Kaufman have been placed in charge of Damage Control Teams. It is their duty to coordinate where repair teams are to be assigned. Ensign Escher has been placed in command of Weapons, Shields and Non-Essential systems, seeing to were power is to be diverted for use to Weapons and Shields. Lieutenant Commander Chen and Lieutenant Teykier, of the Science Department, are assisting in Engineering. I am having them work with Propulsion systems. I have reported to the Bridge, current battle ready status of Engineering. As with my standing melee weapons only policy while in Main Engineering, all personnel have been armed and are ready for any attacks to Main Engineering.
  8. Well, she was gone. It's not like this had never happened to Juhdia before. He had lost so many women over the past few thousands of years, he had even lost count. To many lives, to many names. Soon even her name would be a faded memory, not locked away, but forgotten. It was time for his shift to be over, so Juhdia logged out and went to his quarters, he was going to make a stop at Sick Bay, but then he remembered. She was no longer there. Juhdia could have felt remorse, sorrow, even anger. She had not told him she was leaving, no good-bye speech, no recorded message, not even a letter. But then he would have been a hypocrite. How many times had he left without notice, he had even lost count. When someone had lived as long as he has, time starts to flow together or pieces just seem to vanish with time. No he would not hold anything against her, that was not his way. And her choice to leave was hers. Juhdia sat alone in his quarters, a bottle of two hundred year old Scotch sat on the table in front of him. Next to the bottle was a glass. He mused as he looked at the bottle. It was the same bottle as their first dinner together. Albeit it was not a date, their first date was some time later. But it was their first time together. Funny thing about memories, they fade just like flowers. Juhdia mused about the white lilies he gave her that first time. Did she save them, did she dispose of them as they wilted? Of his few times in the Sick Bay of the USS Morningstar, he had noticed it was bereft of life. Cold, sterile. It was not like the USS Excalibur. Briana had kept the Sick Bay alive with plants. But this was a Warship and the Sick Bay was not a nursery. Juhdia looked arcoss his room and saw the project he was working on. Something to liven up Sick Bay. It was a holographic emitter programmed with over sixteen million species of flowers, he even worked in a scent emitter that would mimic the scent of the flower it was displaying. Now it would just sit there. Soon even it's purpose would be a faded memory, not locked away, but forgotten. Yes there were many things around to keep her memory fresh, but soon those memories would fade. Soon even Elaine Delgado would be a faded memory, not locked away, but forgotten.
  9. I have assigned Ensign Escher to assist Lt. Cougar and the Security Department with the Weapons and Shields. I have also assigned Lt. Kaufman to assist Lt. Admiran and the Science Department with the Sensors. Lt. Admiran is working on a series of Probes to boost Sensor range. And this endeavor is coming along nicely. Later Ensign Escher was assigned to assist in Sensor readings on the Bridge. I am working with Helm to keep Impulse and Thruster systems operating at optimal efficiency. With constant monitoring and regular reports from Helm, this endeavor should keep the USS Morningstar operating at optimal levels. Hopefully. In my off time I am working on an Electro-Magnetic Pulse array that can substitute for Sensors. I have three mock-up models that have so far proven useless. However with more Sensor scans I will have an EMP frequency that does not already exist with in this expanse.
  10. All system were set for launch. System repairs for the USS Morningstar have gone accordingly and we should not have any system failures. I will keep a team lead by myself, on the USS Morningstar's Warp Core. I have assigned Lt. Kaufman to work with the Science Department to deal with any disruptions that may be encountered for sensors while the Morningstar is in the Onnaris expanse. I have assigned Lt. Admiran to work with the Security Department to deal with any disruptions to Weapons and Shields that may be encountered while the USS Morningstar is in the Onnaris expanse. I have received the report from the Medical Department on the Microbes that caused illness to the crew of the USS Morningstar and Station Camelot. I will be working on upgrading the bio-filters on the USS Morningstar to filter out any such Microbes and Microbes of a similar nature, should they be encountered again. However this project will be listed as secondary to the Warp Core. When the USS Morningstar returns to Station Camelot, I will speak with the stations Engineering Department to see how they have progressed on this endeavor, as all data was sent to the Command Staff and should have been relayed to Station Camelot.
  11. Currently Engineering is working with Security to improve shields should we encounter the unknown vessel that attacked the USS Morningstar when we were returning from Surmac. Once I have a finished report from Lieutenants Admiran and Cougar. I will work with them on upgrading the shield systems. And as well once I have received a finished report from Medical and Science I will begin work on the ships bio-filtration systems. Once we have completed with the Morningstar I will pass on the data to Camelot and they can begin work on the stations bio-filtration systems.
  12. It is my belief that the Alien vessel that attacked us, was also the same that planted the Alien containment unit on the Morningstar. It is my belief that the attack was to disable our Shields so as to plant this containment unit with the Alien aboard the Morningstar. If the Alien was placed on the Morningstar as a threat or as a refugee seeking asylum, is yet to be seen. I support the use of Security Personnel to watch this Alien. But we should also keep an open mind to his/her reason for coming to us. This is also our main mission, exploration and diplomacy. I recommend that the Alien be placed in a closed off section of Camelot and try to be revived by Medical means. If we can replicate the microbes that were in the containment unit the Alien was in, then we could possibly recreate his own atmosphere. This will be needed to be performed by the Medical and Science Departments. Any assistance will be offered by the Engineering Department.
  13. Since the infection that spread throughout the Morningstar and Camelot. The Engineering Department will work with the Medical Department to see a way to make the bio-filters work against this infection. In addition to this I am planning an overhaul on the Morningstar taking into account the recent attacks. I will go over reports from the Security Department and work with them to upgrade Shields and Weapons to meet this new threat of the Alien vessel that attacked us. Also I will need a containment field to be set up on Camelot and in the Sick Bays of both Morningstar and Camelot. This is for the containment unit the Alien arrived in as well as in the Sick Bay the Alien is occupying.
  14. Well, he said it. Now what? Whatever Elaine's answer would be would affect the outcome of their relationship. However maybe now was not the most opportune time for asking her. Juhdia could see the others, thriving in pain. He too was slowing succumbing to his own pain, but there is one thing he had over the others. Several thousands of years of pain, this was old hat for him. He had encountered pain like this before. It started to feel like a bad hangover, so he decided to cure it the only way he knew how too. Drink some more. But that did not go over well. So he bite the bullet of his pride and went to see the Doctor. From seeing the others suffering as he was, Juhdia thought it best to close down the Morningstar incase this was some kind of infection, brought aboard by the mysterious Alien. Good thing Elaine and Brian agreed with him. However, should Cmdr Corizon have not interfered with Juhdia's lockdown order, then this 'infection' may have not have spread. Who had gotten off Morningstar before Elaine's order was sent. Now they could spread this 'infection'. The pain reminded Juhdia of the 'bends'. He had only experienced it twice, but this was not unlike it. But it was more. This was like an infection. He was experiencing an intense feeling of cold, not unlike when he traveled with Admiral Bird to the Artic. He shivered. No this was like something else he had felt before. "Bloody Hell, it's the Black Plague all over again." Juhdia remembered his time as a Doctor during the plague and when he too had succumbed to the plague. The pain, the fever, feeling cold. These were all signs of an illness. But it had effected so many different species the same way, so this was unlike any 'infection' he had encountered before. A Trill, an Andorian, a genetically engineered hybrid Human Cougar and him. So this was unlike anything he had seen before. Had it been brought aboard by their mysterious visitor. That would be left to be seen. But for now that was the only possible cause. Juhdia was sure this visitor had come aboard when the Morningstar was attacked. He was unlike the Al-Ucard, or Surmac. So that could be the only way he came aboard. But for now this was not his concern. Getting better was what mattered to him. But before he could get better he would see to it the pain and suffering of the others would be seen to first.
  15. Juhdia looked over Main Engineering. It was a disgrace, yes they had been attacked, yes there was the emergency landing and yes there was the explosion. And now it was his responsibility to clean it up. But the good thing, it was not his alone. Over the next twenty days it was the responsibility of the entire Engineering staff to get the Morningstar back it tip top shape. Yes they would soon be in the welcoming arms of Camelot allowing them needed repairs, but for how long, a day if at best. It would take days, maybe a week in spacedock to fully repair the Morningstar. But would they have that time? In one word, no. So it was now up to the Engineering staff to make the needed repairs with what they had. Even if they had to patch the hull with duct tape and bubble gum, they would. After a few days of repair, Juhdia made sure to get some sleep, no more passing out from sleep deprivation. And he made sure to clear some of his schedule to give time to thank Elaine for helping him out. Some extra special alone time for the two. And then he would have a chance to ask her a very special question.

But Juhdia tells Ramirez that if it comes down to just the two of them in the end, he will not hesitate to take Ramirez’s head. “Remember Ramirez, there can be only one.” 112 to 452 A.D; Juhdia travels the Earth, looking for new Immortals, training them, then taking their heads once they have finished his training. Juhdia kills over one hundred and fifty Immortals during this time. 454 A.D.; Juhdia, now known as Galahad, joins the court of King Riothamus, who is later known in history as King Arthur. With his tales, Galahad inspires the court of Camelot to search for the Holy Grail. Even though centuries ago Juhdia hid the Grail, in Asia Minor, but told them to search in the Middle East. Thus causing the future Crusades, among other battles of Northern Europe and the Middle East. 537 A.D.; Juhdia follows Riothamus and retrieves Riothamus’s sword from the lake he casts it into. Giving Juhdia two of the greatest and most famous weapons in history, ‘The Spear of Destiny’ and ‘Excalibur.’ 1097 to 1099 A.D.; Juhdia, now known as Godfrey of Bouillon, leads the march of the Crusades to Jerusalem, defeating the Turks as he goes. He finally captures the Holy Land in the name of Pope Urban the II, but before he can be rewarded, Juhdia slips away. 1128 A.D.; Juhdia makes a pact with the Vatican, that recognizes ‘The Knights of Templar’ as the defenders of the faith, giving great power to Juhdia, now known as Richard Martel. Juhdia hides the Spear of Destiny, Excalibur, the Arc of the Covent and the Holy Grail in the catacombs of Vatican City, each artifact hidden in the tomb of one of his former identities. Wanting more power, Juhdia begins his plot to become Pope. 1483 A.D.; Juhdia, now known as Tomas de Torquemada, is appointed as Grand Inquisitor of the Spanish Inquisition. Juhdia finds a personal joy in killing Jews as they were his own people who turned their backs on him in his time of need. This is the first time Juhdia used his power to make the Jews suffer. But during this time Juhdia became dishearten over the power of the Catholic Church and began plans to destroy the church. 1517 A.D.; Juhdia, now known as Martin Luther, posts his 95 theses on the door of the Palast Church in Wittenberg, beginning the Protestant reform. This was Juhdia’s greatest act against the Holy Roman Catholic Church. 1526 A.D.; Juhdia hangs himself in his cell, allowing him to escape imprisonment. He travels to Japan and hides from the Roman Catholic Church there. 1685 A.D.; Juhdia meets and trains with Miyamoto Musashi, inspiring the Sword Saint to write down his teachings for future generations, Musashi does so, but does so in letters to a monk he knew. Later with the help of Juhdia these letters are joined together to make the book, ‘Book of Five Rings.’ 1762 A.D.; At this time Juhdia lead two lives at once, one was Comte de Saint Germain and Donatien Alphonse Francois Sade. This allowed him to challenge the Catholic Church in his writings as de Sade and to keep the political environment of Europe in upheaval. As Saint Germain, Juhdia formed the Freemasons and brought back the Knights Templar. Juhdia leaves a double to be executed as de Sade. It was at this point Juhdia met the mortal Kristopher Thomas J’cin and came across the Immortal Marie Du' J’cin. Though the two did not fight, Marie had given up on the Gathering. She separated from Juhdia when she was publicly executed. 1775 A.D.; Juhdia now known as Richard Augustus, leads Manchurian forces against the White Lotus Society, Augustus kills over eight thousand suspected conspirators and under his orders twelve thousand more are killed. It was during this time Juhdia first met Conner McLeod. The two Immortals fought on different sides. They met after Juhdia had just taken the head of another Immortal and was recovering from the Quickening. Conner on a sense of honor let Juhdia live, but vowed to take his head one day. 1793 A.D.; Juhdia returns to France and aids the French government, until the Holy Roman Empire declares war on France. Then Juhdia switches sides and aids the rebellion, leading to mass executions under his command in France a year later. During this time Juhdia came across the now Immortal Kristopher Thomas J’cin. 1809 A.D.; Juhdia now known as Commander Louis Dumont of Napoleon’s Army, leads a regiment into Rome and takes Pope Pius VII prisoner. Juhdia later fakes his death as Dumont before Napoleon orders him to take Prussia. 1812 to 1925 A.D.; During this time Juhdia travels the world, in 1836 Juhdia, now know as Timothy Rusit, joins Sam Huston, Daniel Boone and Jim Bowie at a fort in the newly formed state of Texas. Later he leaves for India and meets up with a young writer. There Juhdia, now known as Fenton Martel, meets and lives with Rudyard Kipling. Martel adopted a mongoose that had saved the two from a cobra. Martel named the mongoose ‘Rin-tin-tikki.” A few years later Juhdia buys a copy of one of Kipling’s books and is enraged that his good friend is making money off of his pet. “The bastard never liked Rin. Expletive, expletive, expletive.” Later Juhdia travels to America where he joins the US Calvary as James Richards. Richards is promoted to the rank of Captain and placed as secondary commander in charge of ‘C’ troop of the Seventh Calvary, under Captain Benson. In 1876 ‘C’ troop provides cover for the other five troops of the Seventh Calvary at the Battle of Little Big Horn. There were no survivors of ‘C’ troop. Juhdia spends the next few days hiding from Sioux and the US Calvary, where he makes his way to Europe and hides. In 1889 he lived with a Freemason ally in the White chapel distract of London. 1925 to 1942 A.D.; Juhdia now known as Reihard Heydrich. Moves to Germany and meets up with the leader of a rising political party, Adolph Hitler of the National Socialist Party. The two men became fast friends as there both shared a vision for Jews. Later Heydrich was promoted to SS Lieutenant General, head of the Reich Security, which included the Gestapo. He organized the Einsatzgruppen and led the Wannsee Conference of January 1942, where the coordination of the "final solution" was discussed. Fearing that the Reich would lose the war once England and America persuaded Stalin to join the Allied Forces. So he gathered his fellow Immortals and they all planned their own deaths. Juhdia was the first to go. Members of the Czech resistance shot him on May 27, 1942, near Prague. He later came back and took the heads of his fellow Nazi Immortals, ten in all. 1942 to 1949 A.D.; Juhdia hides out with the Knights Templar, but comes out of hiding using the name Hiram Juhdia, Nazi Hunter for the Nuremberg Courts. Using his knowledge of the Nazi Forces, he captures thirty of his fellow Nazis. 1981 A.D.; Now known as Richard Reihard a geneticist student at MIT, he works with a group of programmers under the lead of William Gates. The group design an Apple based program, which runs on IBM clones, they call it Windows 1. Gates buys Reihard’s rights to the program, Reihard accepts stock, 200,000 shares, in exchange for Reihard’s rights to the program. 1987 A.D.; Graduates from MIT with a PhD. in Physiology and Diseases and a Masters Degree in Computer Programming. 1991 A.D.; begins working for the World Health Organization, WHO. 1998 A.D.; propositions the UN to act on the ‘Eugenics Question’, after much debate Reihard is appointed as leader of the WHO and plans out the solution to the ‘Eugenics Question.’ He uses his notes and plans from the Wannsee Conference. With in months every nation except for Israeli, is mass producing cyanide gas, with in days death camps are erected all over the world. Reihard has the UN make it illegal for anyone to hide Eugenics as Treason to the world. Soon it is law that even those suspected of helping Eugenics be executed. While in Lebanon, Juhdia comes across Marie again, but she started using the Briana, Juhdia makes it clear that he cannot save her if she tries to rescue any of the Eugenics as he did during WWII when she would save people from the concentration camps. It is during this time he meets an Immortal named Zanna. He watched her go to the gas chamber and die. When her body was carried out, Juhdia took it to his private cabin in Washington. He watched and waited for her to come back to life. Once she did, he found out about her, how she came from a rich but sickly family, everyone in her family suffers from Diabetes and Cancer. Her parents wanted her to be better and had her placed in an Eugenics program. Zanna was born healthy, but a few years later the Eugenics War started and her family turned their backs on her. Juhdia saw her as the most perfect Immortal ever, He wanted to keep her, to train her and to love her. But Zanna only wanted to die. Juhdia did as Zanna wished, but only because he loved her. 2017 A.D.; Juhdia now known as Eli Juhdia, leader of the ‘Savior is Risen Church.’ Dies after he is crucified. Then three days later Juhdia leaves his tomb and proclaims himself the new messiah. And on his command his followers kill themselves, over 600,000 in all. It is after this that Juhdia goes through a time of self-renewal and with the help of Duncan McLeod, changes his ways. It is at this time Juhdia turns his back on the Gathering and refuses to fight any more. 2063 A.D.; Juhdia now known as Russell Gibson of Australia, works with Zefram Cochrane and John Eaves on the first Earth made Warp capable ship, the Phoenix. 2096 A.D.; leaves Earth on the first Warp 2 capable ship, looking for parts unknown. 2162 A.D.; returns to Earth to fight in the Romulan War. 2180 A.D.; now known as Captain Arcamedis Dumont, fights in the battle of Cheron, his vessel, the USS New York, scores seventy kills under his command. Further use of the ‘Dumont Maneuver’ forbidden by Earth Command as it damages the ship more than it out maneuvers the enemy. 2187 A.D; Again Juhdia travel the galaxy, this time using a five-man crew ship that is Warp 3.4 capable. 2189 A.D.; Crash lands on the Breen home world after and attack by Nausican pirates. All of his crew dies and he is left stranded on the Breen Home world. The Breen find Juhdia and kill him, but he comes back to like, the Breen try five more times, but they cannot kill Juhdia. The Breen Northern Prefect declares Juhdia a God and under Juhdia’s rule the Breen Home world learns to live in peace. 2198 A.D.; Juhdia fixes his ship and leaves the Breen Home world. Over the next seventy years Juhdia’s Dogma is perverted and the Breen become a warrior race again and once they discover Warp technology, the begin to conquer neighboring Star Systems. 2199 to 2261 A.D.; Juhdia returns to Earth and changes the Watchers to an elite Intelligence organization known as Section 31. 2264 A.D.; travels with a group of colonist to a planet just past the rim of the Beta Quadrant, called Ariel IV. 2265 to 2368 A.D.; Lives in exile of his own choosing, until civil war begins on Ariel IV. With the aid of a few Starfleet Officers Juhdia overthrows the current Colony President and travels back to Earth, using the name Crispin Xavier. 2371 A.D; enters Starfleet Academy’s six year program under a double major, double minor program. During this time Cadet Xavier works with Starfleet Intelligence deciphering Breen messages during the Dominion War. While in the Academy Juhdia comes across Briana yet again, the two were on friendly terms then from their last encounter. 2377 A.D; Graduates Starfleet academy, promoted to rank of Lieutenant Junior Grade and assigned to the USS Lincoln, as secondary Chief of Security. 2379 A.D.; During a Search and Rescue mission on Delovia VII, to rescue Federation Ambassador Hart, all but Xavier, the Ambassador, and three of the Security Officers were killed. The Lincoln’s Chief of Security was killed by the Breen attackers. Xavier used his knowledge of the Breen language and his ranking of a God to make the Breen surrender. He was given a field promotion to Lieutenant Senior Grade and appointed Chief of Security of the Lincoln. Five months later Starfleet Command officially recognizes promotion of Mr. Xavier. 2380; Reassigned to Defiant class vessel USS Dumont, named after the hero of the Romulan War, Captain Arcamedis Dumont, as Chief of Security and promoted to rank of Lieutenant Commander. Juhdia finds it funny that he now serves on a ship dedicated to him. While serving on the USS Dumont he lead a team of Security officers on an attack on a research facility on Denubian IV. There he rescues a Ferret which was used for drug testing and acquires his Denubian Neuralizor, which becomes Juhdia’s favorite weapon, but to conform with Starfleet regulations, it is set for stun only. 2381; Demoted to rank of Lieutenant Senior Grade after the death of an ambassador, under his watch. It turned out that the two Ambassadors were Immortals, one was Duncan McLeod and the other was a former student of Juhdia. When Clovis challenged Duncan to a duel, Xavier could not interfere. He ordered his men out of the main hall and closed the doors, so Clovis and Duncan could fight. Xavier was later brought up on charges and demoted. Eight months later Starfleet Intelligence transfers Mr. Xavier to Command HQ, Mr. Xavier placed under inactive status. 2383 A.D.; Status reactivated and Mr. Xavier assigned to the USS Excalibur, Engineering department. Mr. Xavier is demoted to rank of Ensign according to Starfleet regulation 49-A section 12, paragraph C. Which states, ‘that any Officer transferring department and ship will be demoted in rank, to appropriate rank of a new Officer of the
  17. Juhdia freshly revived from his accident quickly back to work, well, not that quickly. He waited till Elaine had left. And anyone who pointed out that the Doctor had said he was to get rest was answered with a sharp glare. No one life was more important than that of the entire crew, so if he wound up stuck in Sick Bay for the next week, it didn't matter. But then he would have to hear Elaine crewing him out every single day. So Juhdia went about his duties, most of the time propping himself up against a wall or console. Once he was sure that everything was back up and running, or at least they were working on the Warp Matrix, Juhdia went to his quarters for a shower and a change of uniform. Word had trickled down that there was to be a senior staff meeting, so Juhdia wanted to look at least presentable. Last thing he wanted to hear was the Admiral or Commander Corizon going, 'Lieutenant Xavier, this not acceptable. Your appearance is a disgrace.' So Juhdia finished with his sonic shower and got dressed. Then after checking in with Main Engineering one last time, he headed to the meeting.
  18. Juhdia looked around Main Engineering. It was a buzz with activity, everyone was running around like ants after the entrance to their habitat had been knocked over. It seemed that the Morningstar had just been attacked. But by whom and more to the fact… Why? But this was not Juhdia's concern. What was his concern was getting the Morningstar back into to Warp. But he needed to assess the situation. "Okay, Bad day. Let me see, the Warp field collapsed. It will take us hours to get the Warp Matrix active and stable again. If I can get Zack's people to help, that may cut it down to about an hour and a half. But we will still have to cold reboot the entire Warp Core system." Juhdia turned to Admiran. He was talking to Commander Kennin. "Sorry to interrupt, but Mr. Admiran, if you can get a cold boot started on the Warp Core, that would help." But he got no response. "Fine, ignore me." Juhdia then turned his attention to the ships weapon systems and shields. "Ensign Cul-vah, I want the weapons and defense systems back on line in the next twenty minutes." Cul-vah moved on and started working on the Shields. "Good at least someone is listening to me." "Now Cul-vah, I want you to…" Cul-vah walked past Juhdia paying him no mind. "Great, just great. Bad day, bad day. First we are attacked, then the Warp Core Matrix crashes. Now, no one is even listening to me. Bad day, bad day, bad day." "Now, where the hell is Cougar. I called him like ten minutes ago." Juhdia scanned Main Engineering, then he saw Cougar bent over a body on the floor, Juhdia could see the blood coming from the head of the man on floor, but could not see his face. "Come on Cougar, leave him for the Med-Techs, no one man is more important than the ship." Cougar did not respond. "Cougar. Cougar are you even listening to me?" Juhdia watched as Cougar turned over the body of the unconscious man. "Oh bloody Hell" He looked at the man's face. It was his own." "Bad day, bad day, bad day…" To Be Continued…
  19. Juhdia worked with a team to get the Cloaking Device off the Excalibur, when word came down that he had under an hour to get the Cloak out and aboard the Morningstar. Then to gather his belongings and get aboard the Morningstar. "Okay, Mr. Cougar, Mr. Kaufman, start the Camelot crew on getting a computer dump, Mr. Admiran, Mr. Keegar you two are with me on getting the Cloaking Device out of the husk that is now Main Engineering here on the Excalibur. Give it half an hour everyone, then get your belongings over to the Morningstar. That is all, let's get moving." Juhdia worked with his team on removing the Cloaking Device. They took care to disconnect the power coupling and computer control paneling. Juhdia was surprised that the Cloaking Device was still operational. Testing after the power umbilical was attached to the Excalibur, had showed that the system was still working. Plus the power had made it easier to test other systems as well as start removing other parts and equipment from the old girl. But what made it nice for Juhdia was that they were able to close off Main Engineering and get the shielding running to close off the hull breaches. It took more then half an hour to remove the Cloaking Device. But the system was completely removed from the inner hull of the Excalibur and awaited transport to Morningstar. Juhdia looked around, then at his chronometer. "Okay, everyone being transferred over to the Morningstar, go to your quarters and get your gear, she will be ready to leave in the next twenty minute." With that Juhdia went to get his own belongings and went to the Morningstar.
  20. Juhdia charged the Romulan then it was fade to black. Juhdia stood in a spotlight. "Are you looking for top of the line, state of the art Starfleet technology. Well, you came to the right place. Because we here on the USS Excalibur have priced everything to go." "Here we have a Starfleet designed Cloaking Device. How much would you expect to pay for something like this? Two hundred thousand, three hundred thousand bars of Latinum. Well, here at the Excalibur Fire sale, " Juhdia slapped a gawdy price sticker on the cloaking device, "Now it can be yours for just two hundred ninety-nine bars and ninety-nine strips" Juhdia walked over to the edge of the Warp Drive Nacelle embed in Main Engineering, "Used Warp Nacelles, real cheap. Only slightly damaged. Six hundred bars of Latinum. Impulse Drive, thirty six bars and ninety-nine slips." "Everything is priced so low, at these prices I must be insane…" Juhdia awoke to find his people standing over him. He stood up, "Next time I say hold me back, somebody had better well do it, damn it." Well, we have work to do and little time to get it done, the first thing I want taken out is the Cloaking Device. We may need it on the Morningstar." Juhdia looked at the men with dumb founded look on their faces. "Get moving.
  21. Juhdia beamed back over to the Excalibur, his quarters were still there, or at least the door. He thought what he would find behind the door, he breathed in deeply then exhaled. Juhdia placed the magnetic locking handle on door and forced it open. What he saw when he opened the door was nothing, his quarters were gone. The last things he thought of as he was pulled into the vacuum of space was the painful death his beloved pet Denubian Ferret Angus had suffered, then he thought of how his mementoes were gone. Thousands of years of priceless artifacts gone. And how he would never see Brian or Elaine ever again. Then he felt the pain as every oxygen particle left his body, ripping it apart. Then nothing. "Okay Juhdia just open the door." Juhdia forced the door open, preparing himself for the worst. "Always expect the worst, if it doesn't happen then you are pleasantly surprised. But if it does, then you are prepared." And Juhdia was surprised that otherwise his quarters had survived the recent fiasco. Sure things were a little shaken up, but that happens when a Romulan Warbird hits you then the Warp Nacelle crashes into your ship. Juhdia was slightly amused by the fact that the Spear of Longinus was still in place, but even more so to the fact that the Sword Excalibur had fallen into the deck plating. He gazed at the ancient sword, then at the floor that it was imbedded into. "Great, now I'll need Riothamus to pull it out." Juhdia allowed himself a chuckle. Then he heard an odd sound coming from what was once his bedroom, not so much odd as different. "ANGUS!!" Juhdia ran to the bedroom and found his pet Ferret Angus lying on the floor, barely able to chirp. He placed Angus into his travel cage and gathered his belongings, ordering a crewmember to carry the rest of his belongings. Juhdia returned to the Morningstar with Angus and his belongings in tow, after storing them, he took Angus to the animal Doctor and once Angus was cleared, he then went to the general messhall and had a light lunch. He watched as the Morningstar slowed to Impulse then to thrusters as it docked with Camelot. While the past few hours had been pleasant, Juhdia would rather get back to his quarters on Camelot and settle down with a nice hot shower and a nap. After Juhdia had rested he got up and dressed in one of his custom made uniforms and made his way to one of the finer bars on Camelot. The bar was filled with Excalibur crewmembers getting their drink on, all were a chatter with news of the future and what would happen next. Rumors were going around that the crew was going to be reassigned, that Commander Corizon was going to be demoted, that the crew who were left on the planet were already dead, that the Excalibur was to be scraped and the Morningstar was to be redesignated as Excalibur-C. Juhdia laughed and decided to get in on the fun. "Yeah, well I heard that Commander Corizon is going to be demoted to a Warrant Officer, then transferred to a penal colony. And that Admiral Day is being forced to resign his post. And the Excal, well she is going to become a museum in orbit around Mars. It's all true, I am after all the Chief Engineer, or was." Juhdia turned from the group that had gathered to listen to his tall tale and smiled into his drink, trying hard not to laugh out loud. He had seen it so many times before, people making up facts to fill the need when there were none. After Juhdia finished a few rounds, mostly toasting his missing friends Brian and Elaine, he was on his way to his quarters for the night, when he was called away to a meeting of the Senior Staff by Commander Corizon. "What Senior Staff? It is just me."
  22. Part of this log takes place before the beam off to the Morningstar. It was a simple plan, just blow up the ship. "Just blow up the ship, right." All Juhdia had to do was get everything in place to start an Impulse Drive overload. "Easier said than done." Juhdia started the overload procedure, easy enough. Then he tapped away signaling Kaufman to start his role in the twisted game of 'LET'S BLOW UP THE SHIP'. Yes, that was a fun game back at the Academy, but this was the real world and once the ship blew up, the silver walls would not appear, well if Heaven was anything like what they said it was, then he would be seeing silver walls and pearly gates. But with the life Juhdia lived, he would not be going to Heaven. Then Juhdia tapped away for Admiran to start his link in the chain of destruction. "Well old boy that's it and I'm dead. Never thought I would say that, I never really thought of my own mortality, it's hard to when you are like me. Mortality, I'll leave that for the weak at heart. But it will be hard to survive an explosion like this." Juhdia weighed the thought of what was to happen next. There would be no way he could make it to an escape pod in time, that and why would he. Yes Excalibur the sword would survive and the Spear of Longinus, which would finally be the end of that. But most of all it would be the end of Juhdia. "4,721 years old and this is how I die. Just great Juhdia, just great." Juhdia noticed the tube he was communicating with the others start to shake, he grabbed the tube trying to make out what was being said, but with the gloves he was wearing it would be hard to make out the vibration of the Morse Code. "Start the overload procedure, I already did that, what an ego the Commander has." The next thing Juhdia saw was the emergency signal that the overload was shutdown, then what happened next was a surprise even to Juhdia. As his body start to disassemble the last thing Juhdia said on the Excalibur was, "What next?" What next was not what he expected. ~~~~~~~~~~~ Juhdia was now aboard the Morningstar with the others from the Excalibur, the announcement from Commander Corizon that the Excalibur would be taken for repairs was beyond Juhdia's rational. "It's a hunk of junk, just scrape it for salvage." Juhdia was the Excalibur's Chief Engineer, so if anyone would feel true ownership to her was him. But how could he put so much emotion to a thing, it had not been that long. Now if he had spent a hundred or so years with her than he would have felt sad. But, but wait he was thinking of the Excalibur as a 'Her', not an it. So maybe, just maybe he would miss her. But no, there was another 'Her' that concerned Juhdia. And her fate weighed heavy on his mind and his heart. "Elaine" "I'm sorry Lieutenant Xavier?" Juhdia turned to see a crewman from the Morningstar. "Sir, you can transport over to the Excalibur now, to get your personal belongings." "Thank you." One of the things Juhdia would have to get would be a new uniform, he had showered and got a new uniform from the replicator, but Juhdia was always a man of means and taste, so he was more of a custom suit man than someone who wore off the rack. Even in his days back in the United States Cavalry, his uniforms were custom made. Then he would have to get the sword Excalibur and the Spear of Longinus. But even more important than those things, would be Angus. That was if Angus was still alive. (Is Angus still alive? Are Crispin's quarters still intact? Will Crispin and Elaine ever go out on a second not-a-date-date? For answers to these questions and more, stay tuned ::Soap theme plays::P
  23. What splinters lay so deep in one's mind as within the heart Visions of children at play filled Juhdia's sleeping mind. Children that he called his own, but they were not his. Then his dreams turned dark, he now stood over the bodies of children, dead. He recognized the clothes they wore, the numbers tattooed on their arms. He did not know the numbers or the names they hide. Juhdia awoke screaming. But why did he scream? Over the centuries he had learned to live with his crimes, even to secretly revel in them. But what was different now? Juhdia got out of bed and poured himself three fingers of Romulan Ale. He downed it in less than a second, it went down smooth. He placed the glass on the table, "I must remember to get some more before there is another embargo against the Romulans," he mused to himself. He laid down again and tried to drift off to sleep. Again Juhdia's dreams were filled with vivid images of his past, this time the fifty years he spent terrorizing Samaria, Babylon and Israel. Then as Juhdia the Great Destroyer. With his small band of soldiers Juhdia swept the land with blood. No one was safe from his rage, man woman or child. To him they were just part of his on going body count, but it just got to the point were he stopped counting and killed nothing more than for killing's sake. Again he awoke, but this time in a cold sweat. Why? Juhdia showered and made his way to the officer's lounge. It was nearly deserted, surprising for this hour he thought to himself. He ate quietly in a secluded corner, choosing solitude, to the company of his peers. But when you got down to it, how many of them were his peers? Even if they were to live as long as he, he still had millenniums over them. There was only one who was truly Juhdia's equal, but he knew that 'She' was out of his league. He could not even say 'Her' name, not in a whisper or thought. For if he did then 'She' would show up. Once his meal was finished Juhdia stood with his arms folded resting against the viewport. How long had it been since he last looked up and saw stars, not worlds to conquer in time. Earth, Germany 1940 Juhdia, now Reihard Heydrich, spent a day with his family, before he would lead a march into Poland. The sun was beginning to set, so he gathered up the picnic setting and loaded the car. "Malcolm, come it is time to go." Malcolm Reihard, the son of the woman Juhdia had married was playing in the field. "Look father, there are stars in the tall grass." Juhdia smiled, "No Malcolm, I will show you." He broke off a small branch from a nearby tree and waved the branch through the grass. Then the grass was light by the light of tens of Fireflies. "You see, they are bugs, Fireflies." The child danced amongst the Fireflies, then Reihard's wife joined him then the family danced in the flurry of Fireflies. "I wasn't all bad. Even I had my moments." Juhdia sighed. How could he explain to his subordinates, his superiors of his muddied past. "Well, you see, I was under the service of several Caesars, King Arthur, Hitler. I leaded a small army of two hundred and ninety-nine Spartans to their deaths, as well as C-Company of the 7th Calvary. I ordered the deaths of millions of Genetically Engineered Humans. Captain Arcamedis Dumont, hero of the first Federation War with the Romulans, that was me too. And Crispin Warren Xavier, you see he actually died trying to free his Homeworld from a dictator I helped put in charge" "I'd like to see if even Brian and Elaine would ever speak to me again, if… If they knew the truth." "Truth sir?" Juhdia turned to an Ensign holding a PADD. "Yes Ensign Casper, truth. Is there something I can help you with?" Casper handed Juhdia the PADD, "The review of the ship's last diagnostic, I was just finishing it and I would have left it on your desk, but since I saw you here…" Juhdia looked over the PADD, "Good, but leave it on my desk, right now I am… I am off duty and will remain so, till zero eight hundred." He handed over the PADD and made his way to an empty Holodeck. "Computer, activate Xavier two-three-seven." The Computer chirped back, "Program initiated." The doors opened and Juhdia was a top a hill, looking down at the on coming legions of Persian soldiers. He and his men were out numbered seven to one, but those odds were doable. He put on his armor, readied his sword, then looked at his men. "Today we die. But we die in the name of Sparta. For centuries to come they will remember us. Not our names, but of our glory. Tales will be told of the three hundred." He turned to face the Persians, he raised his sword, "FOR SPARTA!" These are the memories that kept him going, these are the memories that made living without 'Her' worth while. But he still wished he had 'Her' with him. His one true love.
  24. Juhdia readied dinner, anticipating Elaine's arrival. “Quarters cleaned, Angus in his cage. And the duck is cooking.” He clapped his hands. “Well, I'm ready. Oh flowers, where did I put the flowers.” Juhdia found the flowers with time to spare. Elaine, feeling a little uncomfortable about going to Crispin's quarters, walked slowly to her destination. When she finally arrived she felt a bit silly for going so slow, and quickly tapped the button beside the door. Juhdia held the flowers behind his back, adjusted his shirt. “Come in.” Elaine walked in and nodded at Crispin. “Hello Mr. Xavier.” “Please, this is informal: Crispin or Juhdia. It doesn't matter which.” He pulled the flowers out. “I hope you are not allergic to Irises.” Taking the flowers and smiling at them, she said, “Thank you... Crispin. But I was under the impression that you wished to discuss Mr. Baund with me over dinner.” “Please, that is work. I'm off duty, you are off duty, let's leave work for the time we are on duty. And might I add, this is one of the few times I am not working off duty.” He smiled, hoping to ease Elaine. “Even I need to relax. And you have been looking so tense lately, I thought why not relax together.” Looking a bit flustered, Elaine sat down. “Alright.” She sat her flowers down on the table and looked up at him. “Have I really been looking so tense lately?” “Yes, you have. Can I get you something to drink? Coffee, tea, water, or brandy?” “Coffee please,” Elaine requested with a smile. Juhdia walked over to the table and poured her a cup of coffee. “Fresh from my own farm on Ariel IV. I just crushed the beans. Nothing tonight has been replicated, all real. How do you take it?” Elaine looked pleased about getting to drink fresh ground coffee for the first time in so long. “Mmm, black please.” Juhdia nodded, then handed her the cup and poured himself one as well, “It will be another ten minutes before the duck is ready. Shall I give you a tour of my quarters?” She shrugged. “I suppose so, if you'd like to.” Elaine blew on her cup of coffee and took a sip. Smiling, she commented quietly to herself, “Perfect temperature, lovely flavor...” “I have had several hundreds of years to get making coffee right.” Juhdia smiled, “Well, first off this spear.” He drew back colorful velvet drapery, revealing a worn and battered spear. The shaft obviously was not the original and the steel tip showed its age. Elaine looked it over the spear, eyes wide, amazed at seeing something so old on this ship. Stepping back towards him, she said, “That's a gorgeous spear. I must admit I have an aunt who would be extremely jealous. She collects things like this.” “Well, she would love this. When I was a Roman Centurion in 30 AD, I used it to piece the side of a Jewish criminal.” She felt a bit chilled at the mention of his past, his past being something she was still trying to come to terms with. “Right, well, shall we continue the tour?” “Yes.” Juhdia lead Elaine to another draped case and pulled the drapery open. “This, this is my prized possession. It belonged to the once and future king himself: King Authro Riothamus. The legendary Excalibur. I find it funny, the sword being... on the ship named after it.” Pursing her lips, she did not comment on this piece, only nodding and saying, “Hmm.” To herself she wondered, King Authro Riothamus? Surely he doesn’t mean… Juhdia smiled, "I have quit a history. I have been a leader of men and a servant of kings.” He turned his head to the kitchen as the timer went off, “The duck is ready, you may have a seat.” Juhdia pulled out Elaine's chair. She sat down and began to play with one of the irises. “I... I have a bit of a hard time trying to wrap my brain around the whole immortal thing. I must admit, it seems terribly strange.” Elaine cringed, realizing that did not come out as well as it could have. The smile disappeared from Juhdia's face, “Yes, it can be.” But the smile reappeared soon after when he came out with the appetizers. He quickly changed the subject, “For starters we have baby carrots and fresh cut green beans.” Tucking a bit of hair behind her ear, she looked over the tray. “Sounds good. I believe you mentioned duck earlier... what other delicious items do you have in store for dinner?” Juhdia sat down and filled his bowl with the fresh greens, he placed his napkin on his slacks, “Well, for the main course, we have roast duck, with honey glazed yams and steamed spinach. Dessert is a surprise.” “How absolutely wonderful sounding.” Elaine said, before she started munching on a carrot or two. As they sat there eating veggies she began thinking about the possible painful silence that could follow for the rest of the evening. Once the two were finished with the appetizers, Juhdia brought in the main course, opening the bin, to let the scent of the meal fill the room. “I have learned how to cook from the best chefs of Earth's history, so this should be good.” Elaine closed her eyes, breathing in the aroma. “Mmm... I've never been much of a cook.” “Well, there is always the replicator, or you could have someone else do the cooking.” Juhdia carved Elaine some breast meat, and then scooped the yams onto her plate, bathing them in the sauce. “Now, be careful, the sauce is a little bit sweet. Ah heck, I used about two cups of brown sugar to make it,” he told her, smiling his best devilish grin. Elaine smirked at his confession. “Alright,” she said again, feeling a bit embarrassed at her lack of vocabulary this evening. She waited politely for him to sit down and serve himself before she started on her own plate. “The replicator is my usual choice, but on occasion I can mess even it up,” she told him. Juhdia laughed, “Well, eat up before it gets cold, but save room for dessert.” He ate his meal in silence and when he was finished, he patted his lips with the napkin, thinking to himself, I hope she likes it. “Ready for dessert?” “Yes,” she smiled, a bit curious what dessert could be. “Well, I do not know if you have ever had Delribian chocolate before, if not, then you are in for a treat. Excuse me.” Juhdia rose and went back into the kitchen and came out with a Delribian Chocolate Cream Pie. “I've never had any, no, but anything chocolate is worth a shot,” she admitted, grinning now at the thought of chocolate. Juhdia cut Elaine a slice as well as a slice for himself. “Now, the reason the slices are so thin is if you have to much you could go into sugar shock.” He smiled coyly. Laughing, she picked up her fork and took a bite. “Mmm... I'm at a loss for words.” Looking up and across the table at Crispin, she thought to herself, Indeed, I am at a loss for words. “Don't worry, I let you take the left over pie home. I can only take so much chocolate.” Juhdia looked up and noticed that Elaine was looking at him; he could see that she was no longer the tense Doctor Delgado, but a more relaxed Elaine. “There, I knew you could lighten up. All you needed was just the right situation.” Her face flushed again, caught off guard for the moment by his comment. “Mr. Xavier... Crispin... there's something I have been meaning to talk to you about.” Elaine thought over all that had been on her mind lately: her mother’s suggestion to be more assertive; Brian coming into her office to talk to her at Crispin’s request; the careful speech she had planned out to give to Crispin about… “Well... a while ago you offered yourself as someone if I ever needed to talk. Is... is that offer still open?” She inwardly cringed. That was not part of the speech, she reminded herself. “Go ahead, what is on your mind?” “Nothing in particular, only... it would be nice to know that there was someone I could talk to, if I needed to.” She smiled softly. “I'm not very good at making friends you see. Most people find me too quiet.” Elaine wondered at herself. That’s similar to the ‘lets just be friends speech’, but not the same. What on earth are you doing? “No problem, People find me to be to forceful. But to get to be as old as I am, you have to be forceful.” Elaine sat finishing her piece of pie up, wondering if she should thank him for the wonderful meal and leave, or sit there for a while and actually talk. “Let me take that for you, I'll just be a second.” Juhdia gathered the plates placing them in the replicator and cleaned them, then walked back in with a bottle of brandy. “Would you like another coffee?” She shook her head no. “No thank you, I've had plenty of caffeine for today, I'm sure.” “Brandy then? Two hundred and sixty years old. I was there when it was bottled.” Raising an eyebrow for a moment, but then smiling and deciding for the moment to be more… relaxed, Elaine answered, “I don't usually drink, but... alright, a small glass please.” Juhdia poured her a snort and a rocks glass for himself, he swished the brandy in the glass and smelled it, “Nice bouquet,” he then handed Elaine her glass. Holding the cup gently in her hands and taking a small sip, Elaine decided to ask a question that had been bothering her for some time. “If you do not wish just anyone to know that you are an... immortal... then why do you throw such information as ‘I was there when it was bottled’ around? What if someone overhears you saying such things?” “I only say such things when I am in the company of those who know. But some times I slip up. I wanted to tell you and Brian only because, I thought you were all about to die and I felt I owed you that much.” She took another sip. “Really Crispin, I…” she paused to sigh, “I'm sorry, I suppose I'm just a little skeptical of it all.” Elaine cringed at her choice of words, for how could she be skeptical of “it all” when she had seen him stab himself in the chest and live? “Try living with it. I have been alive for over four thousand three hundred and sixty years. I have done wondrous things, as well as monstrous things. Some atrocities I can never live down. But now all I can do is just live each day as it comes.” Elaine stood, looking a bit bewildered at his outburst. She sat her cup down. “I'm sorry I've upset you. Perhaps it's time I was leaving.” She picked up her flowers and made a point of looking at them to avoid looking at Crispin. “No need, I am...” Juhdia stood and placed his hand on her shoulder, “No need to go, unless you want to. But remember, you have a friend here.” “I think I should,” she told him. Elaine leaned forward and gave him a small peck on the cheek. “Thank you for a wonderful dinner.” “Thank you for the company and for letting yourself go, relaxing. Good night. Oh wait, the pie.” Juhdia wrapped up the pie and handed it to her. “Oh the pie!” Taking it, Elaine smiled at Crispin and gazed at him for a moment, then headed for the door, taking more to think about with her than just the pie and flowers. Juhdia, hoping he made a good impression, thought it best to leave it as is and let her go.
  25. To: Admiral Day, Lieutenant Graham From: Lieutenant Xavier Re: Proposed Security Protocols for Listening Post Alpha-J Status: Classified This is a list of proposed security protocols for Starfleet Listening Post, designated Alpha-J. First and foremost, it has come to my attention that there are to many people that have knowledge of Alpha-J. To keep it's status secured, knowledge of Alpha-J should be limited to select Security, Engineering and Science personnel. Secondly, all data about Alpha-J should be deleted from Camelot and USS Excalibur's computer systems, leaving data receiving equipment as the only on ship proof of Alpha-J's existence. Third, for communication language, I programmed Alpha-J to use an ancient Earth language known as Manx. Being a language known to date by only a few people and a mere 100,000 linguists. How ever High Manx, a dialect known to even fewer was the one I used. Finally, the Away Team that was sent to construct Alpha-J, knows only a few details of the make up of Alpha-J. This again was my choice. It was made to conserve on the amount of personnel who could be interrogated and give information on Alpha-J. The measures I am proposing are to secure Alpha-J from the current threat of the renegade Dominion, known as 'The One-Hundred'.
