  1. Personnel Record 1247–J3QR-7996 NAME: Qa’vIn Daughter of Gor’magH House of Qir’aQ POB: Qo’noS SEX: Female RACE: Klingon AGE: 27 HEIGHT: 5’11” WEIGHT: 175 lbs HAIR COLOR: Black, shoulder-length, wavy EYE COLOR: Brown RANK: Lagh FATHER: Gor’magH MOTHER: Mir’aa SIBLINGS: 3 brothers- Ma’atob, Boret’ah, and L’rwaH MARITAL STATUS: Unbonded CHILDREN: None SKILLS: Extremely skilled with traditional Klingon weaponry such as the bat’leth, mak’leth, and d’ktahg. Possesses amazing aim and accuracy with directed-energy weapons like the disruptor pistol and the larger, more powerful, disruptor rifle. More than capable of defensive and offensive hand-to-hand combat. MEDICAL HISTORY: During her last physical, Qa’vIn proved to be in excellent health. At age 7 she was infected with an unknown and foreign virus that threatened to take her sight and hearing, but miraculously pulled through. Though her immune system was weakened at the time (and the Klingon brak’lul seemingly ceased to function), it has fully regenerated. She suffered a shattered clavicle two years ago, but has since regained her original strength (despite her refusal to see a doctor). There is a 6” scar running across her lower back from the bat’leth tournament she participated in on the year of her first ascension, and a 2” scar across her neck from an attempted assassination 3 years ago. STARFLEET SERVICE RECORD: Qa’vIn graduated from Starfleet at the top of her class, despite the fact that she graduated much earlier than her fellow classmates. With a double major in Security and Engineering (and the completion of the Starfleet Emergency Medical Course), she interned under Admirals Jonathan McClain and Vivian Mayada at the Starfleet Corps of Engineers for a year before settling into job there where she assisted in the theoretical and physical aspects of designing a new and advanced type of starship. The project was, and remains, classified, but records are available to confirm her time spent working there. Though she enjoyed the work and found it pleasingly challenging, she chose to take a post aboard the USS Paramount as an assistant security guard, after agreeing to continue working with the Corps as a consultant. She stayed on the Paramount only a year before transferring to the Qob. Though she is young, she is by no means inexperienced. She has a knack for both engineering and security, and has the ability to learn new skills quickly. She will do whatever is asked of her, and is by all means an exceptionally loyal crewmember. FAMILY/PERSONAL HISTORY: Qa’vIn grew up on Qo’noS under the care of her mother and three older brothers. Her father was killed shortly after she completed her first ascension--he was killed by a rivaling house. One of Qa’vIn’s older brothers was to complete the R’uustai and bond their house with another. Somewhere (no one really ever found out where, or why, for that matter) something went terribly wrong, and the two houses have been at arms ever since. After his murder, her brothers and mother could think of nothing but revenge. Though a hot-tempered Klingon herself, Qa’vIn has a low tolerance for violence. She stayed on Qo’noS only as long as necessary. When she was old enough, she took the Starfleet entrance exam and was immediately accepted. With her Klingon strength and natural thirst for knowledge, she studied both security and engineering. When word came of her mother’s death, she took it upon herself to complete extra courses-- she graduated early, and immediately returned home. Her brothers, traditionalists through and through, considered her a traitor for having joined Starfleet and sent her straight back to Earth with hardly a glance back. It was then that she joined the Starfleet Corps of Engineering. After a few years there she joined the USS Paramount where she remained until orders to transfer to the Qob reached her. During this time she also remained in contact with the Corps and has served as an outside consultant on many separate projects.
