His Father, his Uncle, Admiral Barry Kroells both worked at the Starfleet Anti Piracy agency on Earth. Tyler was often on Earth, with his grandfather, who owned a small farm in what was formerly Minnesota. After Travis’s mother died, he stayed at Charles farm full time, and he and Tyler would often spend the summers together, playing various games. However, while Travis was the intellectual of the two, Tyler was the type of guy that used his fists, and not his mind to solve problems. The two year age difference didn’t help much when the boys got in their teens either. Tyler, two years older, was often forced to leave Travis behind, who wasn’t very popular with Tyler’s friends. At the age of 18, Tyler immediately entered Starfleet academy, something he had been planning on doing for some time. He immediately begins to excel in all of the Tactical, and Security classes that he took. He quickly took to the nickname “Revolver” for his love, and skill of old Earth double action revolvers, used in the 1800’s. He graduated at the age of 24, two years later then most, due to the fact that he took extra classes, in Tactical scenarios, and to become certified in the newest equipment and technology issued by Starfleet. He served a two year stint onboard the USS Maybourne but after being injured severely during an away mission, he was put on leave, and given time to recuperate on Mars. One of the things he had wished to do back then was to apologize to Travis for the way he had been back when they were teenagers, however, by then Travis had graduated from the academy, and was posted on the USS Reaent, which was posted at the Federation, Romulan border. So, with out being able to say his dues to Travis, Tyler was reassigned once his medical leave was up. He transferred to the Qob Lakota, which had recently returned from the depths of the alpha quadrant, after being lost for some time. However, for reasons less then known to him, the Qob once again was sucked into the fringes of the alpha quadrant, 30,000 light years from home. After nearly three years on the Lakota, Tyler was finally able to transfer to the alpha shift, where he was more likely to get notice from the higher ups, and hopefully finally be promoted. Note: Tyler was certified in all Starfleet weapons and military technology at the time of his transfer, and after spending three years with a bunch of Klingons, he is also rather skilled with a number of Klingon weapons as well.
