anyone know what the current "science" vessel is? First it was the Oberth, then the Nebula...but now with the new gen starships out anyone know what it is?

Now now as any Trek watcher knows, despite that the Borg have hundreds (if not thousands) of cubes in their collective...when they want to conquer a technologically advanced society they only send ONE cube each time.

I thought Intrepid class was more like a battleship. Ens Paris referred to it as such in an episode.

I always thought of the Akira class as a "redesign" of the old NX Class starship from "Enterprise". People keep complaining that the NX01 looks so much like the new Akira. But I think its easily explained if they had the old design and just updated it for the 24th century.

I like that idea Jacob. Maybe we could use a special message board to let people post their sim ideas, and GMs can use that as a resource if they're ever at a loss.

I've always loved the Olympic Class medical ship seen in All Good Things (TNG) Its the one with the sphere hull, the updated version of the old Essex Class.

Hmm good point Fred. I agree. But once STSF grows larger and it has many mainstream sims...wouldnt experienced officers want to do something a little different? I think it would be unpopular with most graduates...but it might be a "transfer" hot spot. What do you think?

What kind of resources do you all use when you have to come up with something that sounds scientific? Or do you just make it up as you go?

Yes I used spybot and deleted all my cookies and started out fresh. All the ads "seem" to be gone so I really do think it was something on my computer. The internet is so complex these days :D

Yeah its weird. I tried deleting my cookies too and re-logging into the site but it doesnt work. Guess its a mystery that I'll have to just live with. Every other site doesnt do it, just this one. Ah well. :D

I just tried that spybot thing. I'm still getting a popup when I come to STSF.com. BUT, it only happens when I come here...everywhere else I go on the net the popup never appears. And its always the same for some online casino gambling thing.
