  1. Sadly, I was a bad Star Wars fan. This Tuesday we recieved in the Trade paperback of Star Wars: Episode III, even though it's not due out for sale until April 2nd. But to put it in a nutshell... I pretty much ruined the movie for myself.

john you know how it end!!!!!!!!!! I am the type of person who reads the last page of a book first and wants to know how the movie ends before I go see it. So spill it buddy. I wanna know what happens

  2. Things as usual were starting to get bad. It seemed as if the cmo was infected and Miranda was about to say something when she had been called away. She had gone to help and engineer she had come to know as Fitzgerald Brighton. She didn't know him well but had seen him a few times in sickbay. He was in the early stages she thought but didn't want to alarm anyone. Vectra had helper her get him back to the medical center, but not before the two had showed her the sewage facilities. At the time she didn't think anything of it. Vectra seemed fine but she could not be sure how long he would stay that way, or herself for that matter. As she helped Fitz sit down she felt a light bulb go on. "That's it!" she thought. She had to find Dr Knlwtchr. She asked Vectra to watch Fitz till she got back and hurried off. Her mind was racing "the plague on earth....mutate.....insects...."She was trying to put it all together. "No... but yes...dirty water..it spread.." She entered the room and looked for the Dr. hoping to find her still well.

  3. Log, #2

Desdemona had come into sickbay that day and realized she was the only doctor due in. It seemed like a normal day. She had checked up on a experiment she had been working on wrote a few logs, nothing of great importance. Or so she thought. The captain had called a yellow alert and asked all the department heads to report to his ready room. Desdemona thought nothing of it till the captain had call her and asked her to join them, apparently the cmo had other matter keeping him busy. She felt a little awkward and she headed off to the ready room. She walked on to the bridge (which was her first time) and noticed how lovely it was. When she entered the ready room she could feel everyone's confusion and curiosity. She stood towards the back of the room and listened waiting for what was to come.

  4. Lets see.... I started taking a carpool home from school in 1st grade (so like 89/90) my parents didn't get home till later. So I was left to my own devices, meaning one of the few things that was on was star trek. I would catch reruns of TOS and the few TNG that were playing. Then later on at night after dinner there was a new episode of TNG. I kinda fell in love with that cast cause I grew up watching them. So thats my story.

  5. I was at Disneyland the other day and I sat down on a ride behind a girl. I noticed a tattoo on the back of her neck of a TNG communicator. I thought it was a really interesting tattoo. So I wanted to know if you (meaning anyone who reads this) were going to get a star trek inspired tatto, what would it be and where would you get it?

I think I would get the communicator on my neck.

  6. Desdemona picked up the picture of her family and looked at it. She carefully placed it in the suit case. Then she picked up the last thing. a picture of her friends Meghan and Jonas, an interesting pair she thought. The two had become her family over the last few years. She would miss them on the new ship. Lovingly she placed the picture with the rest. Picking up her suit case and her last plant she exited the room. As she walked down the hall she dropped her mental wall to feel the crew one last time. Although she was only partially empathic she still had to keep up mental walls. She closed her mind once again and continued down the hall. She started to think of the future and wondered what life would be like on the new ship, the Agincourt. She gripped her plant a little tighter and entered the transporter room. She nodded at the women in the room. "Are you ready?"the women asked. "Yes...and Meghan don't forget.." Meghan rolled her eyes "I know, water my plant. Always with the plants" Desdemona stepped on the padd. "Well Meg it's been fun, but if I don't go now I will never want to." "Have fun" was the last thing she could make out before she reappeared on the transport ship.

    Personal History

Although born on Betazed Desdemona was only partially telepathic and spent part of her childhood on Earth. Being the lone girl among 4 children she was exposed to sports and rough games at an early age. She excelled in everything she tried but soon found that she was more concerned with the injured players on the team. After being sidelined by a serious injury she moved to Betazed to live with her grandmother Minerva. During this period Minerva took it upon herself not only to help Desdemona mentally but also to diversify her education. There she studied languages, psychology and architecture and botony. During this period she spent much of her time in and out of hospitals trying to recover memories of her past. As a result she developed many telepathic abilities she never thought possible. At 18 she decided she wanted to join Starfleet as a doctor and was accepted a year later. There she studied medicine and a handful of other subjects. She graduated four years later at the top of her class and was assigned to shore duty on various planets before being stationed to the medical supply ship the U.S.S Quiroz. She stayed there for five years till she was reassigned to the Agincourt.

    Hobbies/Interests

Desdemona enjoys many kinds of sports. But true to her heritage she also very much enjoys art, music and philosophy. In her spare time she is somewhat of an amateur botanist. She is fluent in 6 languages and also enjoys painting.

Distinguishing Marks: A small scar along the base of her neck

Psi Rating: 10, Full Telepath/Empath due to medical enhancement

Addt’l Comments: While trying to recover from a serious injury as a child doctors on Betazed implanted a small chip into her paracortex to enhance her chances of recover. During the initial tests the chip overloaded and proceeded to incorporate itself in her brain. Fearing risk of doing any more damage the doctors decided not to try and remove the chip. As a side affect she went from minimal empathic abilities to full telepath status.

    Psychological Profile

Mona as most people call her sustained a heavy injury as a child that left her not only physically but also emotionally scared. Because of this trauma a rift between her and her brother Benedick occurred. She has not forgiven him for his involvement and as a result the two rarely speak. Although she lost most of her memory after the accident she still retained her caring and motherly attitude towards others. She views the crew she serves with as her family and is willing to help them in anyway possible. - Dr. Melpomene, Starfleet Psychologist

  8. I think that the smokers and non-smokers of the world could live in peace. I smoke, but I make it a point not to smoke around children (like my nephews) and somtimes old people (mostly because my grandma starts to say thing under her breath in spanish, which she knows I understand). Most smokers try not to upset others who don't smoke. all my friends will make sure its ok if they lite up around others. What I dislike is when the non-smokes will walk by me and start to do the fake (are you trying to kill me) hacking noise. Most of the time I will be standing in the corner behind a building blowing my smoke at the wall and they still walk by me and give those looks like "you are killing yourself". I don't get, will someone please explain it to me.

  9. Anyway any smokers here? Or anyone got something to say about smoking and Trek? I don't think anyone ever did in Star Trek though I do recall Worf doing so in a white suit in DS9 (is that right?).

I'm a smoker Images. In TNG didn't someone smoke in one of the Dixon Hill scenes. One of the crew that is. Anyway I think we will still have smoking rights in the future. Trek teaches the idea of tolerance and isn't letting me slowly kill my lungs my choice and shouldn't others respect my rights. Just a thought.

  10. Medical Officer Miranda Porter

    stardate 0502.13

Miranda watched everyone in sickbay as she quietly stood up and slipped into one of the back labs. She needed a moment. As she sat down on the floor by herself she thought this was suppose to be an easy day. It wasn't going that way so far. There was an upsetting letter from her mother, once she got to sickbay she had to things weren't looking up. She had tried to calm down the blind helmsmen who had knocked over half of sickbay, then there was the engineer yelling about the voices in his head, not to mention the medical emergency. And if that wasn't enough she had talked back to Dr Knlwtchr, she felt so stupid. Something was going on, people seemed to be loosing their minds and the sickbay crew couldn't figure out why. In fact she felt as if she were loosing it. As she sat looking at the floor she started to tell herself "keep it together....why can't I do this, I was an actress I know my emotions, heck I trained as a counselor. This is not you, get it together" she kept repeating it to herself as she started to cry. It frustrated her she yelled in her head "stop it stop it now, you need to get back to work. Control yourself and help people. That's your job" She forced herself to stop crying as she stood up. Suddenly she felt dizzy. She braced herself on the nearest table as she waited for it to pass.

  11. Miranda sat in the lab staring at Ranko's blood sample. It would take her a few hours to find out the results of the test. As she watched the computer screen her mind started to wander. She thought about Ranko's offer about the meditation and debated if she should take her up on it. After all it couldn't hurt to make a new friend. She missed her family and other then Aaron and the dishy engineer Vectra she hardly knew anyone. She made up her mind she would try and meet some people on the ship and make friends. That shouldn't be hard she thought as she pulled out a piece of paper and a pen from her lab coat. She carefully unfolded it and quickly glanced over all the noted on it till she found an empty space. She thought for a second and wrote "Friends. Tell me what company you keep and I'll tell you what you are." Satisfied she put the paper away and looked around. Noticing she was still the only one in the room she turned her thoughts back to her work. "don't think, just work" she told herself with a sigh.

  13. I love earthquakes. Not that they are good or anything I just think they are fun. I was in LA when the Northridge one hit so I was pretty close. I was on the top bunk in my cousins room. I jumped off or well fell off is more like it and got under a desk. it was interesting to say the least. Anyway I feel your pain or should I say shaking. I just thought I'd give my two cents on earthquakes.

  14. I'm sorry. No wait i'm not. I had a question and I thought this was what the board was for. Does it really matter that you know I live on the west coast. I was confused and needed an answer. Thank you for everyone who helped me.
