The Manticore is following an impulse trail that is mixed with pre-warp plasma. This trail makes us think that a ship limped away from here at impulse speed and we can only hope that it is the Babylon. In analyzing the trail, we found an old analog radio signal from someone on the Babylon, telling us that their ship has been taken over by the Maquis.

Cause I just attached it :). Takes 24 hours for the log to be available so we have a log of all the stuff that went on during that 24 hours. Yeah, we log everything.

The Manticore has tractored what was left of the Pensacola to the Carthage, found nearby. While attempting to repair the Carthage, the sensor analysis from that ship's logs along with Manticore's have shown us an impulse trail that is mixed with pre-warp plasma. This trail, leading away from the area, makes us think that a ship limped away from here at impulse speed and we can only hope that it is the Babylon. We are transporting the Carthage crew onboard and preparing to follow the "bread crumbs" to whatever ship still left from these battles.

All good points, Rex. I noticed that the pendulum seems to be swinging toward fantasy more than science fiction. One of our problems could be that many of the good science fiction screen writers are retired, another may be that the FX have taken over. I, for one, don't enjoy watching computer-generated FX that approach animation rather than RL. When I see a movie, be it science fiction or fantasy, if it degenerates into obvious animation rather than realistic special effects (for the attacking animals, for instance), I stop watching. Good use of FX, imho: Avatar. Bad use of FX: Saturday afternoon SyFi movies (always a joke around our house - we watch 'em for a good laugh).

We try and fix up the Carthage, but they need a spacedock for this battle damage, so we start bringing their crew over to the Manticore.
We discover an impulse trail leaving the area that is mixed with pre-warp plasma and other particulates, as if a ship left on impulse power due to a badly damaged (and leaking) warp drive.
TBS is one hour, we will just have brought the last of the Carthage crew aboard.

The Manticore was to rendezvous with the Special Operations Wing near DS-9. The Pensacola, Carthage and Babylon have all gone missing, in succession. Manticore headed to their last locations and found the Pensacola, floating with no atmo, little power and no crew left alive. There is evidence of Federation weapons fire against the Pensacola and the away team has just finished transporting back with their ships logs.

We arrive at the Pensacola, no atmo, almost no power and no one left alive (but not all the bodies are onboard). To top it off it looks like it was shot at by a Federation attacker!

Babylon goes in search of Carthage, but finds the Pensacola, floating dead and looking like it has been in a battle. They go in for a closer look, but then someone or something accesses their internal secure systems and then we lose contact with them. We are in pursuit using both warp cores and emergency speed.

USS Serenity (post-Voy Danube-class runabout) is currently enroute to the planet Harlanwolf to conduct a post launch safety inspection of Cunard Lines newest passenger liner, Titantic. The Serenity is 15 minutes out from the orbital docks over Sauhamton, and has already made contact with the harbormaster. Strangely enough, we find that the number of shuttles is far fewer than the number needed to evacuate passengers.
