  1. Personal Log Mitar Precip Tactical Officer USS Manticore Mitar watched the Breen battlecruiser meet its end with a less than impressive implosion. He could only pound his fist and shake his head at the sight. That wasn't supposed to happen...Precip thought. The whole engagement with the Breen Ship made little sense. It's arrival; a political blunder by the Breen even if it was an intelligence gathering mission. And the Battle; The Breen vessel took far more punishment than any Breen vessel the Bolian had heard of or seen. She withstood dozens of phaser volleys at close range despite Manticore's improved phaser arrays. The Bolian could only conclude for the moment it was a Breen Special Operations Vessel given it's hidden torpedo launchers, other unconventional abiltites..and the utter gall of its commander to attack a Federation Starbase. The Bolian then realized that Breen Commander probably had no gall to begin with. Right? End Log
  2. This epsiode was passable in my opinion. The lack of presence of the Prime Directive was interesting..especially that last scene with schoolteacher using the PADD (at least that's what it appeared she had from my view). I agree with the prior posters, It would be nice to revisit this world after their "enlightenment". Precip
  3. Ahh Blurox! Me thinks my first Academy was under her tutorialship. Also she introduced me to that strange untensil used to enjoy the taste of crab. She assured me it was not for cleaning a ferengi's ear. What a teacher! Precip
  4. Huff is a blast to serve with on advanced boats....Klingon or Human. Precip
  5. Many Thanks A9. <---she looks just out of the yard! Precip
  6. Can you please add more Trek Avatars? The ones you have come up with are amazing! I realize you have many already available. But...oooh..waiting for a Nebula Class ship to pop up  Precip
  7. By far one of the best Enterprise Episodes I have been able to watch. Alternate reality temporal epi's tend to fascinate me and can, when properly deliver produce quatility episodes . This episode was heavily EFX driven as well making it cool to watch too. Appreciated more attention given to other Earth Vessels we saw briefly in earlier episodes. From an engineering standpoint..I found it fascinating that the NX-01 was able to maintain warp (well 1.7 I think ) with one nacelle severely damaged. Will keep that in mind for sims. Precip
  8. ::notes another leak of something to come sundays by A9:: And Vex...Classic post. I think My father tried to teach me that axiom. Hmmm..I don't know. Perhaps I do know...but..I might really.... Precip "The Quiet One"
  9. Remember that this is a private site, not a public one. The person who pays for it is the one who gets to choose what they do with it. If they want it to be censored, so be it. If they want it to be pink with the Starfleet emblem morphing into a purple bunny rabbit, thats their decision. Getting Back on Track, What Vex Said here absolutely correct. Whether its a private message board (as is this one) or a private business, the owners make the decisions on what is permitted and what isn't. That said, I must also add I am against Government censorship. But obviously...this isn't a .gov site. Therefore their (and Fred is right...A9 is not the only one who can close topics) right to close topics I respect. Precip "The quiet one"
  10. Since the topic has gone to lavatories..I find myself humorously quoting Atragon's first post. This is a classic LEAK. And Fred's post in response to it is a classic administrative response to one. Precip ( one who watches the news too much )
  11. Welcome! I hope you enjoy simming in STSF. Precip
  12. I wish to vouch for the Sunday Night sims.. Dac, Kbear, Moose and Ziggy! What fun! Last year about this time I posted regarding people to rally to the cause of the Sunday sims..I find myself doing it again. I encourage any grads who can attend to do so. Yes some of you have gone back to school....and of course that comes first. But to those who have the time, Stop on by! Let's keep these academies booked! Precip
  13. Personal Log Lt Mitar Precip "Reality Check" Lt Precip was just about to respond to Lt Betty's hail when he heard the scream...a scream he thought he would never hear ..That of Lt Cmdr Margaux Roget his security chief. The Bolian turned quickly around to his superior..whom Ensign Tovan was trying to assist...and was enraged at the site. Her uniform above the waist was non-existent...and wounds from what appeared to be a whip criss-crossed her back.... How was she awake still...didn't the anthezine gas work?...Precip turned and several other crew members beamed aboard out cold. The pain must of kept her awake...the Bolian thought horrifically. Ens Tovan appeared to be cradling her head...an attempt to comfort her. Lt NPC Raddar..quickly grabbed a medical kit to administer what aide he could . As he did so Precip knew he had to leave...and get to the bridge..yet somethings held him in place a few seconds....the desire to help his fellow crewmember... the thought of how many other crewman had been maltreated by the Romulans...the burning anger... Duty took charge however...and with an exhale Precip acknowledged Lt Betty over the COM. Precip informed the ablebodied crewmen in engineering to do the best they could, exiting Engineering for the Bridge. The fight was not over..
  14. Only for one academy sim. And I ain't saying who gave him that promotion.. Ah yes I recall that sim!!! Hmm..as to who did it...::looks around:: Dead men tell no tales...hmmm.. Funny I remember simming the academies with the Admiral..his typing speed was unbelievable....I have never and still to this day have not seen anyone use put out action statements so fast. ::wink:: Precip
  15. In my opinion I'd rather see the post count depart and displayed on the profile section, I believe in quality over quantity. However, I am not a webmaster so I don't know how complicated this would be, and one has the option of always skipping over posts they know will not concern them. Precip
  16. Fred writes: As for the Borg, I think they should just leave that alone. They've done enough damage in destroying the credibility of the race. After all, a fleet of 40 Federation starship's couldn't destroy a single cube...but the small Intrepid Class Voyager could do it numerous times. --- I cant agree more. Voyager probably was literally disected after all the future technology was discovered on board from the Future Janeway. After this gruesome process..she probably was returned to her orginal from and placed in some sort of Starfleet Naval museum. The one ship that did what 40 others could not..rather unbelievably. Character blends for a future movie are probably the best bet. I certainly hope Paramount schedules the film better as well...(one week from LOTR????) In anycase...time to give the franchise a rest. I know that isnt a popular opinion, but I am a firm believer in it. Precip
  17. Happy Birthday Startrekker! See you in sim Precip
  18. Fantastic Image A9....::wonders if Manticore took the picture on a temporal mission while trying stop the evil forces of Melville from blacking out the entire world:: Precip
  19. Although I am not very good at Trivia. I think it is a great Idea for the Redstar. Having one question every ten minutes is a good idea as well, for it allows the normal socializing to occur too. Precip
  20. Welcome to STSF and the world of RPGs. You've done the first thing right..and that is ask for help. On the top of the page you'll notice a bar with a link titled "about us". You'll notice some events are listed as "Starfleet Academy" These are the events would you begin your game experience with STSF. Again feel free to ask your game hosts any questions. Have fun. Precip
  21. My favorite things this summer were being in Pandarian sims..and SLW. The sim in which the Pandarians met there doom..was ...a memorable moment. Precip
  22. Travis, You have read Bloom County before right? And Vanroy...all I can say about your avatar....is Classic. Precip "You will Respect my authoritah!!"
  23. My gosh. a year later....and ..what has she helped unleash?? Precip
  24. Personal Log LtMitarPrecip Tactical Officer USS Manticore "Moving" Stardate 50308.17 Lt Precip stood besides LtBetty in the Astrometrics lab surveying certain rooms via LtCmdrRoget's covert surveillance network. It was clear that the Romulans were paying the most attention to the Bridge, Engineering and Computer Core. The Romulans even appeared to show signs of frustration at one another. That could only mean that whatever Chief Garnoopy did on the bridge in the before the Romulans took over the ship, but a significant wrench in their plans. Precip noted to himself, however...That from what they were able to gather from Lt. Dal's recon mission. They were all on that ship, being subjected to who knows what..to get their plans back on track. Mitar concluded that they had done a reasonable job getting a picture of things onboard Manticore..and needed to move to the next objective. The Bolian adjusted the viewer to the Engineering Room which revealed 4 Romulans inside Engineering. One appeared to be keeping an eye out for the other three...who were walking from console to console taking scans and occasionally tapping away at the LCARS panels..only to appear shortly afterwards frustrated. Mitar wished he could get a full view of the Room, he gathered he could only see about 70% of it; therefore more Romulans could be present. Regardless he was grateful for that bit of intel the extremely hidden Surveillance cameras provided. Four Romulans...which needed to be taken out. Mitar didn't want to alert the allow the Romulans the chance to call for help. It would take a well executed assault using the PCDs to their maximum benefit. To that he would turn to his security team members to lead the takedown of the Romulans. The Engineers would follow to begin the much needed action that would follow later. End Log.
  25. FROM UFP NEWSWIRE- SAN FRANCSICO, EARTH SECTOR 001 Upon hearing reports of the demise of the Pandarian Terrorists Starfleet Cadets studying at Starfleet Academy took a break from studies and celebrated. Many cadets were seen reveling in the streets of Golden Gate Park. "It's great knowing I won't have to worry about being a meal" -Zintahr Moblis...an cadet freshman commented. The Pandarian terrorists who met their end in an encounter with the USS Yorktown had been known capture or destroy Federation vessels for the sole purpose of eating their crew. "We used to be a bit concerned about our first academy mission.." John Do Hahn,Academy Senior commented..."now we are more at ease." Starfleet Academy at San Francisco was not the only location of joyous celebration of the Pandarian's demise. On Risa..where a Pandarian attempt to abduct a Risian diplomat was foiled...fireworks lit up the sky. "they are dead! yippee!" Bernie Mak a Risian tourist celebrated. The Risian government proclaimed a day of celebration. Citizens on Bolarus, Betazed and Rigel also celebrated the news. No statement was made by the Pandarian Government regarding the terrrorists demise. Back in San Francisco on Cadet offered her thoughts on the matter which best fit the general reaction to the news. "The Galaxy is a better place without those monsters now...good Riddance."
