Kor'both is the son of a strong Klingon Defense Force tactician Kre'thor, son of Mek'bor, who served multiple times with the late Chancellor Martok during the Dominion War. Unfortunately Kor'both's father died in a Klingon military strike on Merkrith. In addition, the Empire forced Kor'both to move to Earth having no living relatives except for his cousin For'keth, a starfleet Science officer, who took him in at the age of 5. All his youth Kor'both wanted desperately to rejoin his people and serve the glorious Klingon Empire following up on his fathers legacy. At the age of 16 Kor'both tried to join the Defense Force but was denied into their military academies.

Kor'both joined the USS Retempken a starfleet ship as an enlisted officer in the Science department. Kor'both became interested in engineering after a few months and transferred to engineering . He quickly learned and severed as a AENG for two years. His cousin For'keth sent him word that SF Academy had an opening in their program and Kor'both applied and was accepted. After his four year in the Academy with a major in security and a minor in engineering Kor'both graduated 3rd in his class. Kor'both was offered a position aboard the new ship Agincourt a few months after it was launched.
