Background/Service Infromation

Simeon Davies joined Starfleet in the midst of the Dominion War (2371). He joined after learning of one of his close friend’s deaths (Samuel Jenkins) at Outpost 37 in 2370. Since then, his service record with Starfleet has remained relatively unblemished and he has distinguished himself amongst his peers as a capable officer and a strong, yet empathetic leader. Davies can be best described as principled, loyal and strong willed; three characteristics that have helped catapult him into command level positions. These characteristics were instilled within him by his parents, who chose to homeschool him rather than send him to a public institution.

Davies’s number one priority has been and continues to be centered around Starfleet and advancing the goals and initiatives of the Federation. Davies was awarded the “Quinn Foster Memorial Award” for outstanding dedication to the advancement of the Federation in 2374. His hard work on restoring Outpost 37 had earned him the nomination of several of his peers.

After graduating from Starfleet Academy, Davies was assigned to the USS Lewis under the command of Commander GromVik. There he spent one year as an Assistant Security Officer. In 2376 he was assigned to the USS Cameroon as an Assistant Security Officer. During that time he was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant JG. Commander Maxwell Hawkins commented that Davies, “possessed both the energy and understanding of what it takes not only to be a leader, but a good one.”

After receiving such a sparkling review from Commander Hawkins, Davies was transferred to Starbase 217 as Assistant Flight Operations Manager in 2377. There he excelled and was promoted to the rank of Lieutenant, Lieutenant SG, Lieutenant Commander and the positions of Senior Flight Operations Manager and Chief Security Officer. Davies helped revamp the Operations protocols while there and also helped secure the Eagle fighter squadron as the official support ships for Starbase 217. Davies did receive one major reprimand while here. While on shore leave, he decided to leave Federation territory as a civilian to explore some of the colonies just beyond the borders. The civilian vessel that he was traveling on was caught illegally in Ferengi space and was promptly deported. Somehow, the brass caught wind of Davies’s travel and as a result, Davies’s next Shore Leave was spent covering assignments for other officers who were granted leave.

Despite one blemish on his record, Starfleet continued to notice the leadership potential of Davies. Therefore, in 2390 he was assigned to the USS Sentinel as the Executive Officer and promoted to the rank of Commander. Once there, Davies quickly helped bring stability and order to a crew that was consistently rated one of the least efficient in the Fleet. He was a part of a massive humanitarian operation to some Klingon outposts suffering from a rare disease.

Finally, Davies was given his own command in 2395 aboard the USS Jerusalem-C. A sovereign class vessel, Davies was involved in the restoration of the Romulan Empire following its civil war by helping several ravaged colonies. His crew was also present at the ceremony when the Romulan Neutral Zone was opened up for the first time in many years.

In 2397, Davies received word that he would be transferred once again. He was reassigned to the USS Agincourt, a newly built vessel, and was her first Commanding Officer. Its primary mission is to see that the 2395 Treaty of Versailles continues to be respected and honored. The USS Agincourt was launched on March 16, 2397.

Hobbies/Interests
Davies most enjoys hiking as well as generic interstellar tourism when he goes on leave. He has been to many of the farthermost Federation outposts and planets as well as making several questionable trips into non-allied territories. Davies is an avid reader of classical literature and enjoys the occasional philosophical conversation regarding subjects such as the natural law, ethics and culture’s affect on the assimilation of the Federation’s principle’s.
