11.08.10 - New Mission Start

The honorary escort mission definitely went off with a bang.

The crew of the 'Creek deals with the aftermath of the M5 explosion: we have injuries and several compromised systems. Meanwhile, the USS Enterprise is in bad shape, though Lt. Uhuru reported to our main bridge that the M5 computer system has been taken off line and they are beginning repairs over on the Federations flag ship. The USS James Walking Bear and the SS Hard Six assist with tractoring the listing Enterprise.

Time Between Sims: Eight Hours. We begin system repairs and tending to our injured.

The New Topeka sector continues to recover from the M5 dust up; repairs -- both mechanical and personnel -- continue on the USS Enterprise as well as the USS Comanche Creek. While these day to day operations are squared away, the Starfleet Board of Inquiry investigation into what went wrong with the M5 computer is to be continued.

Promotion: Ensign Sakura Haruno to Lieutenant, junior grade.

The New Topeka sector continues to settle down, though our intrepid crew still deals with repairs and assisting with the cleanup. In addition, pesky news crews and companies continue to hound personnel to get any more leads on the possible Dead Lands pirate involvement with Doctor Daystrom and the M5 computer software issues. Rumors are also flying that the USS Comanche Creek will be deployed to the Dead Land sectors in order to investigate the pirate involvement.

Time Between Sims: Three Days, and we will be underway towards the Dead Lands at the start of next Sim.

11.29.10

The USS Comanche Creek travels to the Nimbus sectors along the Outer Rim in order to start searching for the Were-Wire pirates; after arriving at the coordinates, we launch a standard search and patrol pattern. The SS Hard Six under the command of Captain Reed Mitros has accompanied us, though the smaller Corsair Oberth-class vessel begins to shadow the larger Kelvin-class frigate.

CAG Mrkath launches Air Wing squads for recon, while CSCI Belo and ASCI Akade are ordered to assist the pilots further using our remote sensors and scanners.

RAdm Coyote passes the time with XO Wesley and Comm Officer Kvar on the bridge, while ASEC Haruno may have gotten word about an illegal squirrel fighting ring (Twenty credits on Rocky Squirrel please...) going on in CENG Tauraiki's department. Meanwhile, CMO TAral deals with some newly assigned junior pilots reporting to the medical bay for physical checks.

Time Between Sims: Two Weeks, we patrol and prepare.

Next Sim 12.06.10: Advance Recon/Away teams will be launching out on the SS Hard Six to start blanketing the colony planets in the Nimbus sectors. This is purely a volunteer mission, a choice of the Player if they would like their Character to remain on the 'Creek and provide background patrol support, the 'Six as front lines support, or as undercover operatives deployed to the colonies.

12.06.10

The crews of the USS Comanche Creek and the SS Hard Six continue to search for the Were-Wire pirate clan responsible in part for the M5 computer disaster. The Creek remains on patrol along the outskirts of the Nimbus sectors. Translation: The Large Fleeter Diversion. The Six (Corsair-Oberth civilian class) has launched further in system, and will be dropping off our undercover away team officers to fan out on the colony planets known as Nimbus 1, 2 and 3, respectively. Meanwhile, additional officers from the 'Creek will be maintaining remote support positions on the Hard Six for our recon teams.

Promotion: Assistant Security Officer Haruno to Chief of Security

We begin to close in on our targets - supposedly, the Shadow tribe of the Were-Wire clan. Sakura Haruno spoke with J'onn, the proprietor of a bar located on Nimbus Three in Paradise City and received information regarding the general location of this specific tribe. The undercover away teams are recalled, and the Hard Six and the 'Creek head off towards the Bad Land sectors of the Neutral Zone, per the coordinates given by Jonn.

Meanwhile, the main Bridge crew conducts business as usual, while our Air Wing Fighters and SCI Department continue to monitor the local civilian traffic.

Are we finally onto a lead? Will the crew locate the pirate tribe? Tune in next week to continue following the adventure as it unfolds.

The 'Creek has encountered a barrier at the coordinates given for the Were-Wire pirates; the obstacle contains an asteroid field interwoven with scrap yard junk and mines.

The SS Hard Six will continue to shadow the larger frigate while Calestorm and her crew employ a tactic from the captains country childhood called "Bee Commandos" - take shots at the hive and see what happens, though instead of BB rifles, the ordnance of the border patrol ship will be used.

The 'Creek will maintain a forward rolling pattern, passing around the perimeter obstacle, deploying low yield probes and detonating them around and near the scrap yard perimeter with care to the mine issue. Flight squads have been deployed and will patrol the area as well. All departments remain on alert.

Let's see who or what we can shake out of the hive...

Well, something did buzz out of the hive, though it sure wasn't bees....

Mis-matched pirate starfighters made their presence known, putting on what amounted to a dog fighting and fireworks show for our Blacksheep fighters; it would seem that these cobbled together fighters have some tricks. Then, the pirates turned on the officer pilots and began to engage our people. An Orion Dreadnought ship also blasted out of the asteroid perimeter, commanded by none other then Litasha of the Black Kris faction of the Orion Cartel, and entered into a face off with the USS Comanche Creek.

Mrkaths fighters are in hard contact, while Calestorm and Wesley and the crew are on the home ship dealing with and old enemy. Next week, tune in to see how this tense standoff and hell for leather situation might conclude...

Time Between Sims: 5 Minutes.

01.10.11 to 01.17.11

After some verbal 'gunboat diplomacy', Litasha packed up her Dreadnought and pirate fighters and backed off from the Federation ship. According to the cartel leader, the information that we seek is located on the space station, and she admitted in so many words to being involved with Doctor Daystrom and his M5 computer. Litasha also continues to state that the Starfleet is no longer the organization that it once was since the Nero attacks.

Commander Wesley is leading an away team to investigate the abandoned asteroid field station and retrieve the tactical data stripped from the USS Enterprise. Our departments remain alert but are standing down from battle stations, and our fighters maintain a protective formation around the home frigate.

Time Between Sims: Short. Next Sim, we pick up with the AT boarding the station.

01.17.11 Update: The away team led by Commander Wesley investigates the civilian processing station, looking for the data taken by the M5 computer glitch. The station has been well used over the years by civilians and pirates alike, though is structurally sound. A portable data module has been found attached to one of the engineering computer consoles, and our team sets about reading any information on it.

The Away Team inspected and hacked the module, which contained the stolen technical specs from the USS Enterprise. Also, Litasha left a gloating recorded message stating that "she had won". The module and it's data will be securely packed up and remanded to Fleet Command to be examined.

Meanwhile, plans are put in motion for the crew of the SS Hard Six to convert the civilian service station to a manned listening outpost for the Border Patrol program.

In addition...a six inch spot of blood is discovered by the AT on the station's engineering deck, and scans reveal it is Orion blood. There is no evidence of a struggle. Samples and tricorder scans are taken for the purposes of recording.

Time Between Sims: One Week. The Away Team is welcome to explore other levels of the decrepit station via character logs as they pull back/re-deploy to the ship. The USS Comanche Creek will arrive back at the New Topeka colony docks. Next week 01.31.11 will be the start of a new mission per an upcoming Cap'n Plot Log.

01.31.11 & 02.07.11 - New Mission Start

The crew has been tapped to handle diplomatic post-First Contact proceedings at the planet of Epsilon Scorpii Four, also known as Wei. The initial journey to the system was uneventful, save for some minor computer glitches in which Earth 1980's era games kept popping up on the bridge monitors.

After establishing orbit, final preparations were made for the Away Team to launch. The Command Staff, Dept Heads, and Senior Shift Leads (in true TOS fashion, all of us!) headed planet-side.

The planet contains ionization in the atmosphere, and the crew (clad in their dress Class A Blacks) were traveling via shuttle to meet with the Wei ambassadorial party and government officials. And, well, the shuttle was EMPed and proceeded to drop like a metal rock out of the Epsilon sky.

No casualties as a result of the crash, though we are not sure of the injury toll as of yet.

Time Between Sims: 10 Minutes.

Our downed crew has evacuated from the shuttle crash site, blowing the shuttle Hobbes in the process. We have moved off into the wilderness -- carrying our wounded -- in an attempt to evade any pursuers. During a brief rest period, the officers take stock of what supplies we are able to carry (rations, phasers, medical kit), the condition of our wounded, and our intended route of escape; water has also been located.

Lieutenant Mrkath remains in stable though critical condition with a compromised leg, while Ensign Akade is dealing with a concussion. Lieutenant Tauraiki remains as walking wounded with a head wound, while Lieutenant Haruno and Lieutenant Kvar are both mobile.

Due to injury, Captain Calestorm has removed herself from field command, placing Commander Wesley as Acting CO, who in turn names CMO TAral as Acting XO. The CMO has requested that the field position of Acting XO be given instead to CSCI Innogen Belo.

Meanwhile, the joint Wei government offices of Amadacia and Doman have launched Search & Rescue squads, and our intended hosts hope that their teams can get to the downed 'officers from the stars' before the Se'an Chan terror faction does.

Time Between Sims: Very Short

The Baa Baa Black Sheep are still on the run.

With exhaustion beginning to seep in, the Away Team has stopped and holed up in a cave depression carved out of a section of the rocky landscape. The surrounding foliage offers some cover, though VTOL* flight craft are still searching, and our 'Creeks have no way of knowing if the VTOLs are friends or foes.

Mission update:

Our Sheep are still on the move, making their way through the tropical terrain. After narrowly avoiding detection from a Sean Chan patrol, our intrepid group again moved out in search of relative safety and shelter - our target area is a settlement some kilometers in the distance. The joint Amadacia/Domani planetary government has dispatched search and rescue teams, as well as a "shadow" protective detail.

Meanwhile, the Comanche Creek maintains her orbit vector, cut off from any communication with the downed AT due to the ionization/radiation in the atmosphere, and maintaining a general non interference stance due to the planetary jurisdiction of the Wei people.

Crossing a cold river by way of a narrow ford, the team has safely arrived at the opposite bank, making camp for a few hours to dry out; they will move on towards the target destination/settlement.

Crew Update:

Commander Wesley and Lieutenant TAral lead the Away Team as the Acting CO and XO, respectively. Lieutenant Kvar and CSEC Haruno handle scouting duties. Lieutenant Belo maintains a litter carrying post for the injured Mrkath. Thanks to the combined mental ministrations from both the CSCI and the CMO (though the CMO handled it covertly) Captain Calestorm has recovered from her motion sickness/balance injuries sustained in the crash. Lieutenant Mrkath is still in critical condition with a broken leg and an infection. Ensign Akade is on the mend from a concussion; Lieutenant Tauraiki deals with discomfort from his own superficial head wound while also lending a hand to help carry the downed Caitian CAG.

It rains, but it pours.

Our downed travelers have made it to the treeline, and with a village in the distance, there is some hope. Unfortunately, just as it seems we are emerging from the darkness, Commander Wesley trips a land mine of Sean Chan design and is seriously injured. A joint peacekeeping force of Domani soldiers led by Sergeant Yew intercepts our weary party, and preparations are made to escort them to the relative safety of the village. Our priorities are our injured and contacting the USS Comanche Creek.

Time Between Sims: One Month.

Notes: Sim plot wrap up logs are welcome. The crew will be staying at Wei, and after healing up we will continue what we were originally sent there for: post-First Contact diplomacy relations. Then, the crew will head back to the New Topeka docks for new mission orders.

04.18.11 to 04.25.11 - New Mission Start

The forces of light and dark are playing the game, so to speak. Starfleet Intelligence is having some issues with a rogue group, moving to take power within the Starfleet ranks. The pre-warp civilization of the planet Neural* is caught in the crossfire, with a Federation observation team out of contact on the planets surface as well.

What exactly happened? The USS Comanche Creek crew has been tapped to investigate the situation on the planet, locate the team, and try to stay one step ahead of the rogue Intel faction.

05.02.11

The ship has launched from the New Topeka orbital docks; our unsanctioned mission is underway.

All departments maintain alert readiness. SCI begins prep work for a agricultural garden experiment. The new HELM and NAV officers settle in at their new postings. Commander Wesley opens up a bit, mentioning her harsh upbringing to the CMO and bridge crew. Engineering has the engines running at peak efficiency. SEC catches up on paperwork.

Time Between Sims: Three Days travel time. For 05.09.11, we arrive at the perimeter of the Neural system.

The USS James Walking Bear and the SS Hard Six will maintain an outer perimeter around the Neural sector while the USS Comanche Creek handles matters in system. Wesley, Kvar, Shalin, and Akade maintain their shipboard duties. The acting CAG (NPC) will send out sector patrol squads. The 'Creek uses a convenient asteroid for cover. Two shuttles will be ferrying the Away Teams to Neural; modular transporters rigged on the shuttles will transport. See Memory Alpha for background info on the Hill People, Villagers, and TOS Episode "A Private Little War".

Away Team 1: Calestorm, TAral and Belo will be investigating the Federation observation post within the Hill territories.

Away Team 2: Tauraiki, Haruno, Granger will deploy to the town/territory of the Villagers.

Time Between Sims: Three Hours. We pick up the 05.16.11 Sim with the teams traveling on the shuttles.

While intermingling among the town dwellers, Away Team Beta witnesses multiple Villager men armed with flintlock rifles, weapons not yet discovered by the Pre-Industrial/Tribal era people. Apella, leader of the faction, kills a captured Hill tribesman with one of the weapons in a show of public force to his people. Away Team Alpha opens a dialogue with Jiornoth, a scout for the Hill tribes. He mentions the "Sage Devils"; further questioning reveals that these "Devils" are actually Orions. Commander Wesley and the bridge crew track an unwelcome guest on the perimeter of the sector - a 'sensor ghost' ship that is eventually identified as an Orion dreadnought.

The Black Kris dreadnought Audacious makes its presence known, firing on the Starfleet SPECOPS ship USS Washington Crossing. The USS Comanche Creek, USS James Walking Bear, and SS Hard Six join the skirmish to drive the Orion Cartel ship off. In the confusion of battle, a heavy shuttle launches from the dreadnought and disappears within the atmosphere of Neural.

The Away Teams finalize their duties and return to the 'Creek, though not before one of the deployed officers nicks a Villager flintlock against orders. Chief of the Hill People, Tyree, asks the inevitable question of Calestorm - will she provide his people with the weapons to defend themselves?

One month has passed. The crews of the Border Patrol and SPECOPS ships remain, exploring the surface of the planet and instructing and teaching the members of the Hill Tribe non-aggressive defense against the Villagers. The captain however takes it upon herself to provide similar firearms to Tyree's people. If this was the right decision remains to be seen.

The Orion heavy shuttle, suspected to be a slaver, that launched from the Audacious comes out of hiding and attempts to bolt from the surface of the planet. The Comanche Creek captures the runner via tractor beams and brings the shuttle into the hanger bay.

Time Between Sims: N/A, we pick up next Sim (06.27.11) right where we left off.

We've encountered a rather nasty surprise: metallic wasp security drones, hidden on the slave runner shuttle and activated via an unknown wireless signal.

The drones are currently concentrated on the main hanger deck, though smaller swarms have invaded other decks via the ventilation systems. The secondary cargo bay/Sciences garden has also been breached, and one swarm of the wasps are using the fruits and vegetables to "eat" and replenish their venom sacs. The Bridge and Engineering decks were sealed off when security protocols kicked in, and the watch officers on duty are working to deal with the problem. Meanwhile, several senior officers are currently dealing with the menace below decks, and we have a decompression on the main hanger deck, causing the ship to list slightly.

Plans are in the works for an EM pulse in an attempt to take out the little insectoid beasties, while the USS James Walking Bear and the SS Hard Six attempt to tractor the USS Comanche Creek back into an orbital position.

(Did I mention that I hate anything having to do with bees and wasps? And so I go and do a side plot about 'em, YES!!)

The drone wasp threat has been taken care of; injuries were minor considering the size and nastiness of our insectoid invaders. The mission to Neural has been completed to the best of the crews ability.

In light of the dissension and problems within the Starfleet Intelligence division, the supposed involvement of the Black Kris Orion Cartel faction, and the subsequent altering of the culture of Neural, the USS Comanche Creek, the USS James Walking Bear, the USS Washington Crossing of Starfleet SPECOPS, and the SS Hard Six have been recalled to Earth for debriefing.

08.01.11 to 08.22.11 - New Mission Start

Following the Earth debriefing meetings, the crew has been re-deployed to the Outer Rim territories. Undercover, as a mercenary crew, our primary mission is as follows: disrupt Black Kris operations, arrest Litasha for her involvment with the issues involving Starfleet Intelligence and disruption of the culture on Neural.

We are currently tracking Kris movements as best we can, as well as our missing Executive Officer who seems to have found a secondary career as a cabaret singer; the first stop on our new mercenary lifestyle is a lovely little cantina known as J'bbas Palace on the world of T'tooine.

And, no, we can't have lightsabers.
