Mission Update: the Departments continue to prep for the rescue and search mission. The Comanche Creek and the Starfighter department ventured further and further into the Devils Den, a network of asteroids out along the Outer Rim that is used by both legitimate and illegitimate cargo runners and the like. And, we found the suspected ship, the Wendigo. Unfortunately, the Wendigo's captain has two friends: Slaver Class Orion vessels that have squared off with the 'Creek.

Mission Update: a firefight erupted between the Wendigo, the two Orion Slaver (Audacious and Firebrand) ships, and the Comanche Creek after the three suspect ships ignored our hails and fired first. The Comanche Creek dealt with enemy boarding parties, the Wendigo was destroyed in battle, and the Firebrand has been detained and an away team is prepping to board this ship. Vulcan life signs were detected on the Audacious by external sensors, but this ship escaped the fray to parts currently unknown.

Time Between Sims: None. We will not be meeting on 11.27.09 due to the Holiday. We will pick up with the plot on 12.04.09.

Mission Update: The captain, the commander and the senior crew raided the Orion Cartel warehouse, and rescued the Vulcan colonists and the crew of the SS TPol. 01.29.10 - New Mission Start

Mission Update: The Comanche Creek has received new orders to investigate the mysterious re-appearance of the SS Slipstream, a Federation transport vessel that went missing two months prior to the Nero attacks. The dead ship was discovered in the Markis sector by a Caitian cargo crew, showing no life signs or activity; the feline civilian crew refused to board the ship and investigate, instead opting to call the discovery into the Starfleet authorities.

The Flying Dutchman legend ain't got nothin' on us. Word.

Time Between Sims: Four Hours. We will be arriving at the Markis sector/the Slipstream at the start of next Sim.

Mission Update: The crew begins investigating the Slipstream, a hyper sleep transport ship carrying a replacement squad of MACO soldiers and civilian and Starfleet medical doctors/techs to Cold Station 13. The ship appears to be completely devoid of life, and most systems have shut down and are compromised.

If you're seeing things, and it don't look good, who ya gonna call....

Away Team Deployment:

Wesley: Team Leader

Macen/Riap: Bridge (Discovered one MACO and one Civvie, dead)

Caprioni: Engineering Systems

TAral: Hyper Sleep Chamber (Found odd orange goo glistening on chamber pods)

Comanche Teams:

Kvar: Bridge Command

MrKath/Calestorm: Starfighter patrol squad

Time Between Sims: Short.

Mission Update: Evidence may suggest that the hyper sleep chamber programming and pods on the SS Slipstream were tampered with; some sort of chemical learning* program/substance being introduced to the normal supplements. The crew is also informed that the so called missing Slipstream passengers have been caught on security recordings attacking and boarding the luxury passenger liner the Nova Runner.

TBS: Long enough for the USS Comanche Creek to be underway for a meeting with the Nova Runner.

*Note: The concept of "chemical learning" is copyrighted and introduced in the 1988 Trek novel Spocks World by Diane Duane.

Mission Update: The SEC officers get in some training, while our Communications Chief reports for bridge duty. During the visit to the Nova Runner, Welsey and Calestorm confirm that the Slipstream passengers did indeed attack the Runner and speculate as to who would be interested in shanghaiing and using travelers as soldiers in the first place: An upstart mercenary/pirate band, or an established veteran pirate group?

CMO TAral reports to Cmdr Wesley with some more information regarding the chemical learning supplements and "ready made soldier" programs that had been introduced to the sleeper pods on the Slipstream. Later, Captain Calestorm and the ship's CAG Lieutenant Mrkath have some private words with one another regarding the command staff being off the ship at the same time.

Time Between Sims: 10 Minutes. We continue on the trail of the mercenary/pirates that are responsible for the reprehensible act against the Slipstream travelers.

03.12.10 to 03.19.10

Mission Update: The Comanche Creek has been diverted from tracking the missing crew and passengers from the Slipstream to investigating what very well could be a larger related problem concerning one of the Starfleets medical outposts.

Moooore. Braaaaiiiins....

... well, not really. But the away team did encounter some rather infected-like zombie personnel on Cold Station 13, and a Rottweiller dog that appeared to be recovering from...rabies?

The mystery continues as the Comanche Creek crew attempts to uncover what really has happened on the medical outpost.

Mission Update: The crew has found some disturbing information regarding Rabi D56, a bio-weapon derivative of the animal/human sickness Rabies. The D56 is what was released on the space station, we assume by the last visitors - a civilian cargo ship delivering supplies. When the staff attempted to enact a lock down, the computer systems were locked out as well. Most inhabitants were infected or died, while others managed to escape to the lower cargo levels to go into hiding.

Next week, the Comanche Creek crew will meet at the mobile command center set up on the main promenade deck; it would seem some rescuing is in order.

Time Between Sims: One Hour.

Mission Update: Admiral Coyote informed the AT and bridge crew via iComanches that a former employee of Cold Station 13, Traeger, is responsible for the infection on the station as well as the shanghaied civilians of the Slipstream. An Andorian patrol frigate is currently taking Traeger and his pirate crew into custody.

Survivors are located on the lower cargo levels, and the away team makes plans to stage a rescue using a forward recon team and a follow up team working in tandem.

We will be employing gas grenades as well as any internal station defenses that we can hack into should we encounter any more infected "zombies". Phasers are to be set to heavy stun only, for now.

Our pilots are currently deploying biohazard warning markers to keep any other ships away from the station. Due to the nature of the infection, special Hazmat squads will need to be called in to completely disinfect the station.

Time Between Sims: 15 Minutes. At the start of next Sim, the away team prepares to move out.

Mission Update: After being alerted to the presence of the Away Teams, the remaining Infected personnel on the station descend on the crew. With the help of the station survivors who were not infected and remained in hiding on the lower cargo decks, the pseudo-zombies are taken out.

Next week, with the initial investigation into the Cold Station 13 disaster winding down, further answers will be found as the survivors are questioned. The Comanche Creek crew will also welcome a Hazmat ship and other support ships that have entered the system in order to help with the start of the post-Infection cleanup process.

We will remain on the station for the start of next Sim.

Mission Update: Several Fleet ships containing HAZMAT teams and support teams are currently docking at Cold Station 13 to continue with the disinfection and clean up. The Comanche Creek crew prepares to move out after spearheading the initial investigation into what happened with the Rabi D56 rabies virus.

The CMO and XO discussed a 72 hour quarantine for the away team members. The ship will maintain distance from the station but remain in system for the duration of the quarantine: Standard duty shifts for those not quarantined, and modified shifts for those under observation.

Time Between Sims: Three days (72 hours).
