RES Talon Mission Briefing 51703.16 - Season 22

 

Having reset the command structure on the Talon and Stinger with t'Vatrix and t’Temarr in command of the Talon, and N'Dak in charge of the Stinger, we must now see to what family business we have left on home world, and then set an eye towards what our future strategy is to protect ourselves from future attacks, and ultimately, take the fight to the Othan and take them down if possible.

Adequate backup forces have arrived at the camp, as well as at others camps...so time to tend to ourselves and heal our own wounds.

KhreRiovtRex -> ::Had just entered the small pub that had been reopened, and went in...she needed something to deal with everything...looking around, she saw Koga sitting there and walked over::

KhreRiovtRex -> Are you waiting for someone, or may I join au?

Lerak trPexil -> :: They sat in relative silence as they continued to make their way back ::

KhreRiovtRex -> ::motions to the server to bring ale for herself and motioned for another for Koga, assuming he'd be ready for a refill by the time the girl got back::

Koga S'Bien -> No, I'm not. Please do.

Laehval tTemarr -> ::Laehval topped the hill that looked down over the refugee camp and stopped the transport. Looking to the Stinger, she sighed.:: Is it bad that I do na really wish to go back?

KhreRiovtRex -> Hann'yyo

Lerak trPexil -> Where do au wish to go... I will follow. :: grins ::

KhreRiovtRex -> :: pulls out the chair and sits quietly::

M_K_tKsa -> ::staring off in the distance down the river bank, mentally working on her list of things that need to get done, including training of replacements::

Lerak trPexil -> :: places his hand on her arm :: I believe they would understand... is there somewhere?

Koga S'Bien -> Any plans on your time off? \

KhreRiovtRex -> So Koga, do au plan to stay with us on Talon, or have au given thought of serving with au ri'nanov?

Laehval tTemarr -> Na. ::She shook her head.:: Talon is home, but I dread what is coming.

M_K_tKsa -> tr'Rehu>::shows up with the afternoon ISD reports, a cookie and tea because buttering up the daise'maenak is always a good idea:: Jolan tru lhhei ::takes a seat next to her before handing over the tray::

Lerak trPexil -> Ie, how about a drink :: motions to the back of the cockpit to the secured case of wine from his home ::

KhreRiovtRex -> I have na time off, besides...what would I do? Sift through debris of my home, stare longer at the grave of my son, wonder what has become of my bondmate? Is he Yy'a, as the Othan have bragged about?

Koga S'Bien -> I wouldn't mind staying on. I like serving aboard the ship.

Laehval tTemarr -> We will be in eternal pursuit of the Othans. ::She inhaled deeply.:: I do na think a drink would really help.

Koga S'Bien -> Ie, au have a good point. Quite sorry about that.

Lerak trPexil -> We must find the light within the dark... Is there anything that would help? :: he looked at her for something he could actually aid her with ::

M_K_tKsa -> tr'Rehu> I heard the Khre'Riov and Enarrain N'Dak were looking for au. ::stretching out::

M_K_tKsa -> Ie? ::glances at her assistant as if here's an 'and' at the end of his sentence and he's going to complete it at any moment::

KhreRiovtRex -> Au know there are some trust issues Koga, that au will need to prove auself to na only myself, but to t’Temarr. I only know directly of au part in my capture, as well as au assistance in springing me loose. However I've heard rumor of what happened when the crew was imprisoned. Au have said au were playing a part set up by au ri'nanov, but...she was Tal Shiar, and while we've seen that there are some Tal Shiar that can be trusted, au ri'nanov being one of the those...au

Lerak trPexil -> It was my family... my sister.. or did my mother pester au in the kitchen?

KhreRiovtRex -> commitment to this crew, must come first.

Laehval tTemarr -> ::She laughed and shook her head.:: Na, nothing like that. I'm just weary of this mission.

M_K_tKsa -> tr'Rehu> They didn't find au? ::raises a brow::

KhreRiovtRex -> when it comes to duty, and Ie, I understand about family...just next time.....pull me aside, and let me know au plans

KhreRiovtRex -> ::sees the server arrive with the ale, takes both and passes io to Koga::

Laehval tTemarr -> I do na normally have much to laugh about. ::She glanced at him briefly and then looked back at the camp.::

M_K_tKsa -> Na. ::shrugs:: I guess I'm a bit to evasive. I mean, I only sleep there..:sweeps her hand over to a nearby tent::...work there...::whoosh::....eat there....::whoosh::...and if I get a break, sit here. ::picks up the ISD to change the subject:: How's the treatment going? t'Barrel said that the cases have gone down in the past three hours.

Lerak trPexil -> It was the first time I have met my nephew in person. He seemed to like au. At any rate, au know there is a place on the homeworld if au so choose.

KhreRiovtRex -> Have au had contact with au family since we've retaken chRihan?

KhreRiovtRex -> Did au get a chance to go visit with any of them before reporting back here?

M_K_tKsa -> tr'Rehu>Down seventeen percent. I'm na sure how significant that is here, but two of the other refugee camps have also reported a decrease in new cases. tr'Rike is optimisitc.

Koga S'Bien -> Not yet, I need to contact my family. I'm sure they're already at their hiding place, and was planning to give them a visit.

Laehval tTemarr -> ::Her grip tightened on the controls.:: Au could have stayed with her.

M_K_tKsa -> And that appointment with the local adminstrator?

KhreRiovtRex -> I think au should do so before we find ourselves too busy once again

KhreRiovtRex -> We will be having to leave at some point in the near future, to see to some...items

Lerak trPexil -> Ie. Nalia has a bit of recovery if what they tell me is true. We are still trying to locate her family. Speaking of which, where is the Talon?

M_K_tKsa -> tr'Rehu> Have au thought about what au are going to wear?

KhreRiovtRex -> I have found, that after all that we've done, and what I've given up and lost, that even with routing the Othan from the home world, that when I was at Galae Command, that I still heard whispera and rumors...that there are those that still do na trust me. There is a small group that believes I caused Var'lon to act as he was accused, others that still believe I may be some sort of ..clone.

M_K_tKsa -> Well, apparently na this as it's too camouflaged and I'd hate for tr'Aieme to have a hard time finding me.

KhreRiovtRex -> Tell me... how does the crew feel in general? Do they trust me? Do they believe me?

KhreRiovtRex -> Or...are they waiting for one of the others, say t’Temarr or n'Dak, to replace me?

Laehval tTemarr -> In orbit, I assume, waiting for us.

Koga S'Bien -> ::ponders:: Ie, I've heard of that as well. I feel, that the crew generally does trust au particularly the senior staff.

Lerak trPexil -> Could ask to be beamed aboard

Koga S'Bien -> ::nods:: No problem.. hope that helps ease things a bit

Lerak trPexil -> :: His thoughts were traveling to other places, and he chuckled to himself ::

Laehval tTemarr -> I do na know if they are within transporter range. We were supposed to meet everyone here, I thought, and travel back to the ship once everyone had wrapped up their personal items. ::She set the flitter moving toward the camp.::

KhreRiovtRex -> I've received word that Talon has completed most of its repairs and they want us to take it for a test run shortly. I will be beaming up shortly to start making the needed arrangements to reintegrate our returning crew, and then Laehval will have the task of helping to select replacements of those we lost.

Koga S'Bien -> Sounds good to me.

KhreRiovtRex -> I know au were busy arranging for the others to get off to see to their families, and had a late start of au own, so make sure au see to that, and when au return, we should be back aboard and au can join us there.

 

KhreRiovtRex -> :: finishes her ale:: Hann'yyo for the company. I must attend to some matters, so if au would excuse me. ::stands and nods to him::

Koga S'Bien -> Of course, it was a pleasure.

Lerak trPexil -> Perhaps au can take over engineering and I can take your command role

KhreRiovtRex -> ::nods and exits the pub, heading back towards the camp, and where her ship had been brought.::

Lerak trPexil -> I think at least half of the crew would survive while the other half screams in agony before their needless deaths... :: laughs ::

KhreRiovtRex -> ::she wondered if the others had returned yet, but did na wish to rush them, as they needed to make their peace, and decide if they would join her on the mission ahead of them::

M_K_tKsa -> I'll do that. ::sips the tea, studying the landscape again::

Koga S'Bien -> ::heads the other way to his flitter::

KhreRiovtRex -> ::walks through the camp saddened by the situation things had gotten too, yet still had to blame herself for some of it::

M_K_tKsa -> tr'Rehu>I have to head back in, I've got two new maenakenns who don't quite seem to understand how this system runs yet. I'll see you later, lhhei.

M_K_tKsa -> ::glances up:: Hann'yyo. And I'll talk with au this evening.

Laehval tTemarr -> ::She parked the flitter and sighed again, then slid out of her chair and moved into the back to open the hatch.:: Back to work, then.

KhreRiovtRex -> :: Thinking about the crew, she had seen some brighten, and some with the grief of lost one. Of tKsa, she could na tell, as the woman had become a closed book to her, a door bolted shut with na signs of opening::

Koga S'Bien -> ::engages his flitter and takes to the air, heading back to his family's private estate in the lake district::

Laehval tTemarr -> ::She paused at the control panel, looking back at him.::

Lerak trPexil -> :: Approaches her and plants a kiss safely on her cheek ::

Lerak trPexil -> So au don't knock me out.

KhreRiovtRex -> :: leaning against her ship, she watches as Koga lifted off and wondered where the others were at this point, trying, but failing na to wonder.....where Var'lon was.....or where he had died...it hurt na knowing what had become of him::

Laehval tTemarr -> ::She smiled and then laughed.:: At least, this time, was na an inappropriate io. Au never seem to pick the right time.
