Changing Names (Ranks)?

So, as my first post on STSF, I'd like to say hello! I am very excited to be here!

 

I stumbled upon a list of my 'Name History' on my profile. Combined with the recommendation in the FAQ that I choose/change my name to match my rank, I thought this was a neat feature!

 

My question: How do I change my name, as I change rank?

Its strongly recommended that you use a name without rank, as every promotion would require you to email the admins to change your rank. Once you're assigned to an advanced sim, your fellow players will know what rank you are, and you can always put what your rank is in your signature line.

If that's the consensus then I would recommend, perhaps, changing the question in the FAQ to reflect that it's NOT preferred? Maybe it's just me, but the way the FAQ read, I thought is WAS preferred. :-)
