  1. Well i poped in the other day, and it deffinatly was alot larger than back a while ago from the last time i was in one. It took me a bit of getting used to a sim that large. I can see why you GMs need help. If the GMs see me at one, just toss me in whatever possition you need me in.
  2. Well im just on the challenger, and personaly I enjoy it. Its a smaller sim, the the advantages and disadvantages above apply. The timeline is between ST VI (i think, the last TOS movie) and TNG. With this being a unexplored period cannon wise, it still leaves a large amount of things open to explore for ourselfs. However, alot of other sims are in eras or forms that leave alot open to themselfs. As mentioned above, stop by each of them, talk to the crew, and watch the sim for abit. I'm almost possitive all the GMs will allow you to watch. If your there a few minutes before or after, you might also be able to talk to a few of the crew members.
  3. Alright, just a short log, just getting the last couple lines of conversation in that I was about to do before we paused. Just going to continue on from me saying at bit expensive at the parts shop. “Ya that’s what everyone says about them. Unfortunately they are the only one in town.” The bar tender stops and looks around at everyone in earshot distance making sure that she knows who they all are. She then turns up the music volume a bit louder. “However I do have some, uhh, contacts that sell some supplies.” “Hmm guessing these ‘contacts’ aren’t running a completely legit business.” “Im the bar tender at a small city. There’s a few things you learn. First is who everyone is. Second is what everyone does. Lets just say that some of my better customers pay me a bit extra to send people like you there way.” “Now, I’m guessing that your not just giving this information away for free. Whats the catch?” “The only catch is that if you tell anyone. And I mean anyone what im about to tell you, your not getting off this rock in one peace. You tell the cops what I say, the cops will be telling them, and there coming after you.” “So this goes a lot deaper than just selling some parts?” “You ask too many questions, could be bad for you. But yes, a lot deeper. That’s all I am going to say about it. Now heres were you can go to get what your looking for.” Again the bar tender looks around at everyone making sure none are listening in “Just down the street about 2 blocks is a small market square. In there will be a table with 3 men selling cloths. Go to that table, and say that the bar tender sent you. Just a couple things. Look at some other tables first. And don’t make that the first thing you say, just bring it up in casual conversation. And remember, if you tell anyone else, you dead.” “Alright thanks for the help. And I wont.” I walk away from the bar and back to the enterace to meet up with Sulu.
  4. I enter my quarters and take a seat over by the computer station. “Computer, access and display data from security bridge station.” The screen flashes and the information about the target planet displays in front of me. I read through it again quickly and the true nature of the mission. “Great. 2 soldiers vs an entire planet. Well atleast a rebel faction that no one knows how well armed they are, or how many there are. I’m starting to think I’m in over my head. If me or the new marine Sulu say even a wrong word, were dead before well before we can give the Challenger any notice. Hell I don’t even know what my cover is going to be once I get on the planet. Guessing its going to be something about being a rebel, but I have no idea yet. This might eather be one of the most ingenious ideas in the history of Starfleet, or one of the dumbest. Or both. Guess its going to be judged by how long it lasts. Heres to hoping Sulu plays along. I don’t need to say what will happen if he doesn’t.” I walk away from the desk over to a few shelfs, looking for something to wear down to the planet. Sitting on the ground buried behind a spare set of boots is another pair, however a set that has defiantly seen better days. “Ahh, my old field boots. Look worse than the boots worn by maintenance on dry dock. Thought they would be useful someday.” I go back to looking around for some more cloths to were, this time spotting some coveralls. Again, an old pair, but this time from my last year at the academy. Again, they’ve seen better days, stains, burn marks, some small rips. Perfect for making up a cover story as a scavenger, who happened to spot an abandoned shuttle in the middle of an asteroid belt, from an escape pod after leaving the station we were just at. Should be enough to get us into some underground organizations. I go and take a seat at the foot of my bed, and rip off the unit badges on the shoulders, trying to hide all evidence of my being Starfleet. I change out of my uniform, and into the new cloths and boots and walk over to a mirror. “Not bad, not as good as I would have wished, but a lot better than me showing up in full BDU’s, and good enough that I should be able to improv my way through any questions.” I go back to the foot of my bed, toss the boots on and head out to the shuttle bay.
  5. Continuation from 2 sims ago when we rescued the survivors “So, you saw a human, happen to catch a name? “No all I saw was that he was in a hurry.” “Any idea were he came from, were he was going, anything like that?” “Yes that I know. He was coming from the transporter room, or at least that is what it appeared to be. And I saw him run into one of the air docks. From what I remember it looked like a freighter. Didn’t catch a registration or name on it though.” “Alright thanks for the information. If you need anything, just let one of us know and we will do our best to accommodate you.” I walk away and tap some of the information onto a data PADD. “Well at least is a starting point” I mumber to myself. “Hopefully the last person has some more information about the freighter.” I walk over to the last remaining survivor, who appears to be wearing some sort of uniform “Guessing by the uniform that you work on board the station. What was your position on board the station.” “I was the dock master. Not a very glamoris position but like all of them, it must be done.” Replied the 3rd survivor. “Hmm the dock master, guessing you know a lot about the 2 freighters that were docked with the station then?” “Yes, my job is to coordinate what craft are docked and when they arrive, so I know most of the freighters.” “Would you mind telling me a bit about the couple freighters and shuttles at the station?” “Sure, one of the freighters comes around every 3 or 4 days. Its our normal supply shipment. Unfortonatly I don’t remember the ident of it. We have to many of them. The other freighter tends to be a bit more mysterious, cant say much more about it. As for the shuttle, again I don’t know anything about it. Just a single human pilot.” “Did you happen to get any information about the shuttle?” “Well, the only information that I got from it was that it was a federation shuttle. I didn’t ask anything about that. Don’t really recall the pilots name, had something like hair in it though.” “Harris sound familiar?” “Ya, that, Harris, Harris was his name. Did I do anything wrong?” “No, you were just doing your job. Can you tell me anything else about that other freighter?” “Sure. One of our best paying trade and cargo ships. Only files the required paper work, and normally gives us a few extra bucks to look the other way during its loading/unloading of cargo. I talked to the CO about it, but he’s a business man, only concerned with making money. So as you can guess he gladly looked the other way for the bit extra money. He came just to pick up some basic minerals, and I think a few passengers.” “Any idea were he comes from or the owner of the freighter” “No. He never comes direct, so we can’t track him. And the owner if it was one of the things we are paid to look the other way on. I’m not under arrest am I?” “No, you cooperated with me, told me everything you know. Besides you had no way of knowing what was going on. If there is anything you need, let one of us know” I walk away and head to my office.
  6. In the office of the CSEC, Lt. Culhane of the Utopia Planeta shipyards "Well after investigating your record, it would appear you have had a few issues with Tellarite’s. Tossed in the brig twice for physical assault, numerous other complaints about verbal and written threats. Then aboard the B you had one as your superior. And then to make it even worse T'Preshk took the position of ops over you again aboard the Challenger. You must have been pretty choked up at the launch." Began the Culhane. "Well, if you would read a bit deeper you would notice that counselling reports showed major progress with the issues. No complaints about me within a year. That would be a fairly large jump, would you not agree?" Shot back Ens. Harris. "True, however T’Preshk is one of the people to have one of the complaints." "Sounds like you don’t have a lot on me, and trying to make me confess. Now, since I came here on my own will, your not arresting me, I am free to leave. Have a good night sir." Followed up by Harris getting up and storming out of office. Culhane continued to sit in his chair and look over all of the current evidence, and attempt to put something solid together. "Wait, hand print analysis. I might be able to compare marks left on the victim to that of the suspects. Computer, display file photo 0023." The picture of T’Preshk’s upper body appears on the screen and Culhane begins to do a few commands, eventually having a few small bruises visible on the neck line. He then measures the distance between the two marks, then looks at his own hand. "Hmm looks like thumb to pinky. Computer, display Ens. Harris counselling record." Again the screen flashes and the CSEC scrolls down to the bottom. "Last session, forced to make amends to the people he has wronged, in person if able. Reason to be in her room as well. Guess I got him, or well enough for now" In Harris quarters, during the time Culhane was finding evidence "Damn, they’re on to me. He knows I did it, just a matter of time before he is able to prove that it was me. I gotta get out of here, but they wont let me transport or fly out of here, authorised. Well, I’m already going away for life for murder, theft would just add to sentence." Harris then leaves his quarters. A few more minutes pass by and finally Culhane attempted to contact Harris. "Ens. Harris, please report to my office immediately." A few minutes pass by without a response. "Ens Harris please respond" tried Culhane again, without any luck. "Security, find Ens Harris, and apprehend him." On the Command Center "Sir, we have a shuttle trying to launch, no contact with anyone yet, and no schedualed departures for the next 40 minutes." Comment the ops officer. "Hmm, is it a regular?" questioned the CO, Anthony Evans. "Aye sir, its one of ours. One life sign on board, still no contact to any hails." "Sir, we have proven Ens Harris is the murderer on board the Challenger. However my teams can not find him, and he hasn’t responded to any of calls." Culhane alerted Evans over the com. "Alright, think I might know who is in this shuttle then. Thanks for the heads up." Replied Evans "Divert the patrol craft, and clear the workers out of the area. Try to disable his engines, and take him alive." "On it sir" commented the ops officer again. The patrol craft quickly move to interecept the shuttle and move in behind to take a shot. However the shuttle quickly turns for a near pass on a ship under construction, nearly missing a couple of the worker bees moving to get into the hanger. The fighters still hold fire, not wanting to hit anything on the ship, and cause any major delays to it, or worse. Again, the fighter manoeuvre for another shot, but the shuttle stays between them and a ship under construction. After about a minute of the chaise the shuttle gets passed the last ship under construction, and one of the fighters moves in and takes a shot, about a half second after the shuttle jumped to warp. "Sir, we lost him, he’s gone to warp." "Alright, do we have any ships in dock which and pursue him." "Negative, the closest we have to launch is 9 hours." "Hmm, what about other ships in range?" The ops officer looks down. "Only one sir, the Challenger." "Alert them. Guess they are going to get revenge for the death of there crewman."
  7. Na, im guessing the tail broke off on landing. If it was a old crash, people would have gone after it and pick it for parts. As for the forground person, she could have been at the beach for a few hours and not carring any more. Ya, theres to many crashs, reminding me to much of how the 10th could have gone
  8. trying to get the freshest bacon available.
  9. " Well, its still not as bad as the last wedding. I dont need to remind you how he tryed to get out of that one."
  10. Still sitting in my office looking over the list of people considered for the Ops position, and thinking out loud. "Hmm, 16 people still. To many for me to start narrowing it down by reading bios. To many for me to alert security at their current posts. "Computer, filter all names that were not at the Utopia Planeta shipyards during the launch of the Challenger." The screen flickers a few times and 7 more names are eliminated form the list. " Hmm, 9 people left, still to many. Alright, what else do I know? The murder was in her quarters, with no signs of forcing attempting to force their way into her quaters, possably someone with a prior connection to T'Preshk. "Computer, cross reference all remaining names and their bios with Lt. T'Preshk's bio. Eliminate all names who were not at the same posting at the same time at Lt. T'Preshk." Again the computer flickers and more names are eliminated, however this time it narrows the list down. However, this time the list is cut down 3 remaining names. "Computer, display bios for the remaining names at this consol." Again, the screen flashes and the bio for the first bio appears. I begin to read through it and look for anything which would have reduced his ability to commit the murder. Nothing. "Computer, display next bio" Again, the screen switches over to the bio of the next suspect. However, as soon as seeing the name, I quickly eliminate it from the list. The name was Smith, Benjamin. " Computer, eliminate this name and bio from the list and display next bio." Yet again, the screen flashes and shows the next bio. This time I have the same luck as the first time.</SPAN> I lean back and begin debating about what to do next, deciding I have no access to logs of them, or the ability to interrogate them, and decide to inform the CSEC of the current issue. "Computer, begin recording." "As I am guessing you are currently aware, the Ops officer has been murdered. So far, the investigation has showed me that the person responsible has a prior connection with Lt. T'Preshk, and is human. However, no one on board the Challenger, other than Lt. Smith fits that description, whom I have already eliminated. I have now narrowed the investigation down to two people, Ens. Bloggens and Harris. However, due to them not being aboard the Challenger, I have preformed everything I can, and require you to review there logs, and interrogate them. I have also sent you copy of Lt. T'Preshk's logs, the medical findings and all evidence found so far. Thank you for your assistance, Lt. Wright out. Computer, send message to the Utopia Planeta ship yards security, along with all files associated with the investigation.
  11. ::In Tony Montana/Al Pacino voice:: "Say hello to my little friend"
  12. " I Swear, those rocks just came out of no were. One second there was nothing, then BAM there they were"
  13. Hmm, looks like steroid abuse is a problem with rodents these days as well.
  14. Still inside the brig, with Smith behind the force field "So, assuming she was already dead when you got there, how did you get in. She couldn't open the door to let you in." "As I said before, I was the ship's construction foreman. Part of that duty entails knowing every nook and cranny of the ship, including where the override panels were." "So, why not make it less suspicious, and contact me to override the door, instead of breaking into the room." "Honestly, I figured you were busy. Ask yourself? What were the odds of walking into one of your friends' quarters and finding her dead?" "Well, I have to admit, that is unlikely to happen. And the door locks are not there so you can hide a dead body, they are there for privacy. Situations like this are why we have the security overrides. However, I am the one asking questions, so back to them. What was your purpose on board the Challenger." "For the THIRD time now, I was Challenger's construction foreman. Look me up in the database. I was about to leave the ship to head back to the spacedock, but I made the detour to T'Preshk's room to check on her, as I had not seen her at the commissioning ceremony or on the bridge for the launch." "Then why didn't you inform anyone of your intentions." "I did. As I left the bridge, I told Captain Seiben himself that I was going to run by her quarters. You do recall that it was also I who informed the bridge of the tragedy. Else, you might not have known for months. And being on the bridge almost certainly secures an alibi for myself." "Alright, that's all the questions I got now, however, I may have more after receiving a report from medical, and findings of the investigation. However, I can not release you yet." I get up and walk away from the cell, and start walking out of the brig, but stop by another security guard. "Keep an eye on him, don't let him out of your sight. If he tries anything, stop him then give me a call." I continue out of the brig, and head to the turbo lift, but decide to proceed to my quarters. Upon entering my quarters I take a seat at the desk and begin to think out loud through what I have on Smith. "From what I heard on the bridge, he called as soon as he noticed her, as far as I can tell. He had nothing on him, and no blood was on him. All I got is him in her quarters. Even though he should have gone through security to get the room open, that doesn't mean he killed her. Only way that I can see is that if she was killed before the launching ceremony, which I will not know until medical gives me any findings." I begin to document my current findings from the couple questions, then go to the bridge and talk to the captain. Upon entering the bridge, I look around again, and see the captain over at his chair, and walk over to it, and say quietly "Captain, may I have a word with you regarding our situation, regarding Lt. Smith sir." Seiben glanced over at the Lieutenant. "Of course" he said as he tilted his head towards him. "I assume you had time to interrogate your prisoner. Let's hear what you got from him" said he as he listened on. "Well Sir, to get you up to speed, even though I'm guessing you already know what's happened. Lt. T'Preshk was found dead in her bed, the cause is still unknown, pending the findings from medical. I have also arrested Lt. Smith, and he is undoubtly denying it, and right now I believe him. One question for you though, did you ask him to go check on Lt. T'Preshk, as he is claiming?" Seiben folded his hands together and nodded. "I'm sure he's innocent" he responded. "But to answer your question, yes. I did ask Mr. Smith to check on T'Preshk. She wasn't present during the launch ceremony which made us both feel a little uneasy. Smith pointed that out to me. But do you have any evidence proving or disproving that he did it?" "Alright then. Right now I have no evidence that it is him, so with your permission, I would like to release him, pending the findings of an investigation. Also, would it be possible to get a list of people who were being considered for the position of Ops, I am thinking any one of them may have murdered her and hope to gain the position that way." The Captain rubbed his chin. "Permission granted" he said. "You should be able to get a list for the OPS position candidates from the computer. All of the candidates are listed in the ship's database. That should be a good start. For the record, I too don't think Smith did it. But we'll need to solve this quickly to avoid any diplomatic incidents with the Tellarite Government. Speaking of which, has T'Preshk's family and the Tellarites been notified of her death?" Wright begins to walk away then turn back with the captains new comments "Yes sir, I will go release him, and I will send Lt. Smith to talk with you. As for T'Preshk's family and the Tellarites, I have not had the opportunity to inform them yet, however, I will after releasing Lt. Smith. And I agree that we this should be solved as quickly as possible, and I will do the best I can to do that. Thanks for your time sir." Wright begins to walk to the turbolift again, to release Smith from the brig. **Note, log takes place over the entire TBS, the next sim will begin with me entering the brig again**
  15. Well, if itll make more money, and hopfully allow them to make another trek movie, or series sooner, im all for it.
