Ensign Siegfried Kas, Assistant Engineering Officer

December 28, 2007

Computer, send message to Personnel Office, Starfleet Command, UEF. The crew of NX-05 Challenger wish to establish an education and wedding fund for Tricia O'Conner. Please initiate fund as soon as possible, and advise account number for purposes of making electronic deposits. End message to Personnel Office.

…..what is it about kids that just hooks me and sucks me in? Seeing Tricia at our Christmas dinner, serving everyone "her" Strawberry Ice Cream, I thought I was going to loose it right then and there and start crying like a baby.….. I'm just glad we've got a few days off. This mission, and Tricia, I wonder if Lisa on the ECS Fortunate is still single….

Computer, send message to ECS Fortunate, Lisa Rene, Teacher, Navigator. From Siegfried Kas, AENG UES Challenger.

Dear Lisa,

I've missed you so much since my graduation from Starfleet Academy. I'm not sure where the Fortunate is right now, but I'd really like to see if you wanted to plan a little vacation trip together. I've thought a lot about us, and how life is for us apart.

When we were together on the Fortunate growing up as teenagers, it seemed like life would go on forever. And seeing you every couple of weeks or months as the Fortunate went on it's freight missions while I was in the Academy, just made my feelings for you grow stronger. All the things we've talked about, and the trips we've taken together have been some of the most important and exciting things in my life.

But this mission we've been on, for my rookie mission, has been exciting, and emotional. I can't give away any details, classified as it is. I just know that you've got to join me for the rest of our lives. This Starfleet will someday have missions lasting not just weeks, but months and years. Families will be posted together, and won't have to be apart. Kids can handle what happens out here, just like on the Fortunate.

Lisa Rene, love of my life, will you marry me and give me your hand in marriage?
