  1. I would start by saying I have been having a run of 'bad luck' if I believed in that sort of thing. Turns out that life has been most illogical lately and thing do not seem to go as one plans... Started out with a change off comand ( new boss at work ) and me working some different shifts. Just when I was about to return to the games somebody broke into my house and stole my tv, computer and a few other things. Now, I'm sick with a major kidney infection and next week my boss is on vacation (meaning long days for me) By the time I get back ill probally need to re-graduate again! I wanted to appologize to my CO and the rest of the crew of the challanger. You were very nice to let ne join and I'm sorry I have let you all down. Also to Joe and anyone else that simming during the Qob time slot. I want everyone to know that I have not forgotten about stsf and that I plan to return asap if you will have me. Until my 'luck' changes and life starts to make sence (within the next few weeks I hope) Remember Live Long and Prosper
  2. If you want to join an advanced simm Qob could use your help. We are runing short random missions lasting a few weeks at a time right now until they can build a crew back up for that ship. You are more than welcome to come play along and see what you think this Tuesday at 11 in the holodeck! No strings.
  3. I agree I did not think Uhura was well writen. I know that the Spock/Uhura situation had been touched on before but I didn't like it before not sure why they decided to play on it in the movie. I would have rather seen them play off the Spock/Nurse Chapel relationship. Guess we will all have to wait to see what the new future will bring
  4. I believe I would see the new actors. Mostly because they are actually different people. Same personality trates but life makes us who we are to certin point. Both spock and kirk had life changing events happen in their lives so you can't expect them to be the exact same people. So far I like all of the new charactors (scotty is great) Can't wait for the new movie! It can not be finished soon enough.
  5. Just having graduated the Starfleet Academy I have been assigned as assistant engineer aboard the USS Challenger. We have been dispatched by Starfleet to open communications with planet 892-IV, Magna Roma. As representatives of the United Federation of Planets, we will be negotiating trade agreements and building diplomatic relations with key figures of the world’s government. We are expected to observe First Contact protocols with an awareness of Prime Directive concerns. We will also be investigating how a mid-20th Century level planet was able to technologically advance so greatly in only thirty years. After meeting with the Chief Engineer, Abe Kas, I was given my first assignment: completed a full diagnostics on the ships impulse engines. Once finished I had the opportunity to become better acquainted with the technical specifications and deck layout of the ship. The Quartermaster has assigned me all of my personal equipment including my engineering tool kit and PADD. I am still awaiting my permanent quarter assignment.

  8. Welcome Congratulations on your Graduation tonight! I thought I would stop and take a look at your personal info (or at least the little bit you have posted) Told you I would so you could take a look at mine! dont be a stranger to the academy now that you have graduated! we always enjoy a crowd there! See you In SyberSpace (maybe we will work together on the same ship someday!)
  9. yes I agree. I work for McDonalds, we are going to do a special for the movie! (not sure what it is yet) I think I heard that the people of earth are pretty much forcing these people out of their homes to get ::thinks:: something, a stone or something I dont know what. but It kinda make me mad. lol not sure Ill go see it. Im going to wait for reviews
  10. Is anyone going to watch the Avatar movie? What is everyone's opinion?
  11. Welcome to STSF! - I know how you feel about being a "Star Trek, Baby" My father always liked Star Trek so I would see it time and again but I didnt really get into it until the new movie! Now Ive see all of TOS twice, every movie (1-6 twice). I have watched some of TNG, VOY, and ENT. But to be honest I think TOS is my favorite. Nobody beats Spock, Kirk, and McCoy! Feel free to come to the simms (Im still learning myself would be nice to not be the only one not knowing what to do) ::smiles:: well hope you enjoy it here I have so far. see you in space!
  12. Kansas, yes I know about the situation in Charlie X and I kept telling myself that. I think its the only way to except it. but It drives me crazy ! :: wonders what happen to Nurse Chapel :: I think I would have accepted that a little more. ::laughs:: but the movie was great, I cant wait for the next one!
  13. I seen your post on here and have to reply out of character obviously, but I need to reply. I wanted to let you know that I feel the same way you do about the movie. I loved the movie. Scotty was spectacular! he never really caught my eye in TOS but loved him in this new movie. Chekhov, racing to the transporter room was also the best thing I have ever seen for that character. I loved it! Bones and Kirk were perfect! and Ill accept Spock - but no one in the world could replace Nimoy in my eyes for Spock. as for the Uhura thing (I wanted to die) when she chased Spock into the Turbo Lift and was talking to him the only thing going through my head was. lady he is Vulcan! Is there a reason you are trying to pry his emotions out of him, let him deal with them and move past them how he was taught to do, stop bothering him! then when they were on the transporter pad and Spock was kissing her I about fell over. my thought was pretty much expressed my Kirks face! what in the **** is happening! Ok now I feel better that I have expressed that! I have wanted to since I joined STSF and your post drug it out of me sorry to rant and rave like a crazy person. but I do feel better now. bwt enjoy it here. Its great.
