Biographical Info:

Matt was born in Toronto, Canada, on Earth. He grew up in Toronto, went to school, and got good marks. He entered high school, further extending his marks. In 2149 he graduated from high school with many degrees and diplomas. He has always had an interest in weaponry, so he took courses in the Toronto Institute of Defence. At the institute he learned how to fire weapons and other various weaponry. This course lasted a year, but it proved helpful through the academy.

 

Matt’s interest in space encouraged him to join Starfleet. As a boy, he has always wanted to roam the galaxy, travelling the stars. In late 2150, Matt decided to apply for the academy, he knew with his degree in Weaponry, he’d be able to graduate and be posted on a star ship. So he took courses in Security to become a security officer. As the days and months past in the academy, it got just easier for Matt. He was already the top cadet in his class by the 3rd month, though not surprising to him since his skills in weapons helped out. Midway through the academy, Matt extended his security skills by learning various martial arts. Matt is known as mostly a good boy, but he once got in a fight outside the academy. Luckily his martial arts skills showed he can defend himself. The academy instructors were angry when they heard about this, but they did not put a reprimand on his record.

 

In 2154, Ensign Vank graduated from Starfleet academy. He immediately waited for his new assignment. In early 2155, he got a message saying that he has been assigned to the Challenger. Matt was eager to be serving on the Challenger.

 

Around August 2155, Vank was promoted from Ensign to Lt. jg.

 

Personality Profile:

When Matt was growing up as a child, he always cared about his height. Many of his classmates were taller than him. Matt was smarter than them, but still felt sad because of his height. During his teenage years, he started to get taller. When he finished high school, he was happy about his height (5’9). Though some people are still taller, he believes his height is efficient.

 

 

Matt often relies on his instincts, he does think his way through problems when the situation has efficient time. But when there is no time, his instincts get the best of him. So don’t be surprised if decides pulling a trigger before he thinks too much about it.
