Daryus comes from a long line of aerospace engineers, dating back

to the start of NASA in the late 1950's with Lance Williams.

His great grandfather Jason Williams was one of the main engineers who

worked on the Space Shuttle program in the 1980's including the Shuttle

Challenger that exploded in 1986. Daryus' grandfather was involved

with the successful Mars mission's of the mid and late 21'st century,

Also, the Jupiter and Saturn moon missions, and with Daryus' father,

the settling of Mars. Daryus was born in New Orleans on August 8 2114.

From an early age, He heard story's from his father and grandfather

about the glory's of space travel. After graduating high school, He

dedicated his life to space. He attended the University of Louisiana

in Lafayette and graduated with honors with a degree in Engineering

and Aerospace Engineering. He continued and recieved his Master's in

Aerospace Engineering. While he was getting his doctorate, he worked

as an intern for his father in the United Earth Space service.

After getting his second doctorate in Quantum Physic's and Warp Theory,

he started working as a civillian engineer. Daryus was never interested

in the military, but when he found out about the formation of Starfleet,

he decided to join the Academy. He started the Academy in 2148 and

graduated second in his class with honors in 2151. He served as

assistant engineer on the frieghter Arcadia doing the Mars and Europa

run's from November 28, 2151 to August 29, 2153. He returned to the Acadamy to take further study's on warp theory, requestion a position on the prestigious NX project. He remained at the academy the next year studying and taking simulation's. He was assigned to the starship Challenger NX-05 on September 3, 2154 as assistant engineer. On December 12, 2154, Daryus was promoted to Lieutenant Junior Grade and given the position of Chief Engineer.

July 31, 2155 Daryus is promoted to full Lieutenant.

On August 29'th, 2155 a weather suppresion unit malfunctions in orbit, New Orleans is wiped out in a freak hurricane. Daryus leaves Challenger to help in the cleanup and takes an extended leave of absence from the Challenger.
