The Manticore has just broken out of our second new reality

or alternate universe. After engaging the "hyperdrive," we

sucked the droids, star destroyers and rebels into the engines

as we found ourselves in the now-familiar spatial vortex. We

could not slow down the drive and could not destroy it without

destroying too much of our ship. Our only choice was to "throw

it in reverse," and hope for the best. That didn't happen. The

hyperdrive did disengage, but it did so because the control system

imploded in Main Engineering. The force of this mechanical

destruction vaporized everyone working in the Engineering

compartment at the time. To make matters worse, the ship came out

of hyperspace already in the low atmosphere of a planet. With

no controlled propulsion, all we can do is "glide" and try to aim for

a very large lake that is within our hoped-for glide path.
